SAI, people who are associated with sports, must have heard this name, but most people know very little about it, especially players. They know so much that if they get selected in SAI, they will get free food and good training, but apart from this, there are many questions in their mind which they couldn't get answers to.

The Sports Authority of India originated with the committee formed to host the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi. On 25 January 1984, "Sports Authority of India" was established as a registered society by the "Department of Sports"" of the Government of India's Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. On 1 May 1987.
If I say in one line, SAI works on behalf of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, SAI's main job is to find, select and train good players all over the country. The Government of India gives money for this work, there is a budget of about 200 crores.
Now, to know the correct and complete answers to the remaining questions, we have to pay attention to a few words, because most people have only heard the name of SAI but there is a lot that comes under SAI.

Sir , I am a 21year and 10 months old girl. I used to participate in school sports every year till 2015. After that due to restrictions from home, I couldn't go for further competitions. I don't have any experience of District/State Level Athletics Meet. Can I go for SAI Athletics Selection Trials?

They sai should form a consortium with bcci and have academies in all states,bcci can develop the cricket structure and sai can invest in athletics and other sports facilities.common free land should be provided by all state govts to this consortium.

Sir, I'm in my 20s . I also want to get admission in sports authority of India...i don't ever participated in any school or college games, but i have the achievement of state level taekwondo federation of India (2015_2016) promoted by Gujarat state amature taekwondo association .. As for 5 yrs, i didn't participated in any games because of some financial problems and sudden settlement! Now i came to know about the sports authority of India..and my question, if can i join the sports authority of india after the graduation degree?

You don't have to drop out of your studies they provide SAI sponsored schools so you can do your training and study both you don't have to drop you study thanku
