    1:43:44 not quite sure how the zero makes the right hand side of the equation dissapear, isn't be^(0/5) just b to the power of zero, which is equal to "1", rendering the right side to be 200*1 so equal to 200? I would believe that the equation should work for all of its table of values.

    • @Gradefultestprep
      @Gradefultestprep  4 года назад

      If you did that, then b would have to equal 1, which it does not. We needed to use different values in the table to determine the correct value of b, which is 0.8

    how do you know if it is linear or not? don't exponential functions also have a constant rate(i.e. growth factor)?

    • @Gradefultestprep
      @Gradefultestprep  4 года назад

      A linear function changes at a constant rate (as represented by the slope). Exponential functions change at exponential rates (thanks to the exponent).

    I would like to point out that for number 35, you can just graph g(x) and find the solutions that way. You don't have to look for extraneous solutions and, most importantly, it saves a lot of time because the SAT draws to scale unless explicitly stated.

    • @Gradefultestprep

      There is often more than one correct way of solving a question; we are simply showing one of them here. Yours is good too!

    For number 38 what does the within "10 micrograms per millimeter" mean.

    • @Gradefultestprep
      @Gradefultestprep  4 года назад +2

      It is the range within which P approximates the values in the table (it is a measure of concentration).

      Thanks so much for watching our videos. Glad they’re helping. You really could plug in any of the points and get the same answer after it’s rounded to the nearest 10th. The only combination that won’t work as the one that has a zero because it will cancel everything out.

    Hey love your channel and how you explain your process to getting your answer. I really appreciate it truly. Is there any tip for the timing for math. It's like my anxiety get the best of me and my brain, even though i know the method, just goes blank. Any times for that?

    • @Gradefultestprep
      @Gradefultestprep  2 года назад +1

      Thanks so much for the encouragement. Our tip for timing is to do everything you’re good at first. Be very willing to skip any question that’s at least a little bit of a headache, the first time you go through the questions. Most people miss questions that they can easily get because they spend so much of their time and energy on the questions that they are not good at. Also, timing comes from familiarity so keep trying questions and reviewing the videos to see the right way to do them. As you keep getting more comfortable with the subject matter, you’ll also get faster. You can do it!

    in my opinion, 26 can also be b. a sample size of 20 is considered small

    • @Gradefultestprep
      @Gradefultestprep  2 года назад

      It is all relative: if the community only contains 100 families, 20 families is not small. However, here, the more important error is the bias by asking families in a playground.

    I don’t get why no. 23 isn’t B

    • @Gradefultestprep
      @Gradefultestprep  4 года назад

      Watch the explanation again. If t is number of years and q is quarter years (of which there are 4 in a year), then we need an exponent that is equal to 1 year after 4 quarters, which is what A gives us. If you picked B, then after 4 quarters, our exponent would actually be 4x4 which is 16.
