I love London. I love Europe altogether but London is special to me. My dad use to travel there to sing years ago. He loved London. He was a black man that grew up during the 50s with racial unrest. He said he was always treated so well when he would go to London. He was my bridge to London, with new experiences, and people. Until I finally got a chance to go for myself to honor his memory for the first time after he passed away and I’m in love with it. I see why he loved it. I want to move there so bad.
Came back to Sweden yesterday after a week in London, we already want to go back!! We loved the city. Beautiful, charming, nice people, good food, a LOT to do and see everyday. We´ll meet again...
Best City in the World honestly. Sure it's expensive but all of the best ones are (NYC, Paris, Tokyo). I've gone plenty of times and I never get bored at all. Even the places I revisit manage to astound and thrill me even after the 5th time visiting. London is just an exciting city with a thriving life. I live in NYC and have been here for 17 years therefore I can give my opinion when I say that both cities are wonderful but London beats it in culture and history (it's NY, you have 24 hour train service and good food). There aren't enough opportunities for the middle class, and the outer boroughs (the non-tourist part of New York) always get the short end of the stick. I've been to London. Compared to other Europe cities i've been to (Madrid and Paris), this one is the best. It has many places to walk around. I liked the big park and walking down the historic streets. 3 of the European cities I've been to has their uniqueness, but I liked London overall. Really great city!

I’m from a Yorkshire village and like so many British people, I always try to avoid going into London. It’s such a big cosmopolitan place, full of expensive tourist traps, the majority of it’s people seem to be from overseas not just tourists but people come to work there from all over the world. I can understand tourists wanting to see the big sights, such as the palace, tower and Parliament etc. But would suggest that they venture out and see the real U.K. Britain is a surprisingly small island and so even if based in London you could take trips out into the countryside. Would recommend North Wales with its castles. The Lake District. City of York or maybe a little seaside town like Whitby full of character. Join the locals for a few pints in the pub. You will find the average Brit with a pint in his hand very sociable.
London is majestic but make sure you visit the rest of the UK as well. Wales and Scotland are both stunning and offer a Celtic change to England. Britain isn't small, it just pretends to be!
I love London, and have seen many of its highlights (many at least twice). One of its best features is its inexpensive, convenient train service across southern Great Britain. I've made day trips to Dover, Canterbury, Bath, Cardiff, Rochester (Charles Dickens), the Battle of Hastings site in Battle, and Windsor Castle, among others (and even went to Paris for a day).
76 juno on a large scale they have a lot of similarities - both cities have been capitals of big empires for hundreds of years, so they have developed more or less by the same logic. Obviously quality of life can be different based on current economic situation in each country, etc.
The only time I've been to London (other than airports) I had a flight cancelation. I had to spend the night so I could fly back to Dallas the next day and decided to look around. Many of the places near my hotel closed (it was around 6 PM). I found an itallian restaurant and decided to get something to go back to the hotel as it was getting dark. Once I tasted it in my hotel room it was simply the best damn Italian food I have ever had. I can't find anything like that in the states and I'd gladly pay 50$ a plate for that kind of flavor.

Steven Moseng London’s food scene is not too great though, but you do get pretty much any cuisine from all over the world there if you like. I just noticed that it’s important to research a little bit, because on average, most of regular food points can be pretty average (though still expensive).

London is majestic but make sure you visit the rest of the UK as well. Wales and Scotland are both stunning and offer a Celtic change to England. Britain isn't small, it just pretends to be!

I love London, and have seen many of its highlights (many at least twice). One of its best features is its inexpensive, convenient train service across southern Great Britain. I've made day trips to Dover, Canterbury, Bath, Cardiff, Rochester (Charles Dickens), the Battle of Hastings site in Battle, and Windsor Castle, among others (and even went to Paris for a day).
I just came back from London a month ago and this city is awesome
Also the stadia and sporting locations deserve a mention such as Wembley, Twickenham, Wimbledon, Lord’s as well as the many other football grounds

76 juno on a large scale they have a lot of similarities - both cities have been capitals of big empires for hundreds of years, so they have developed more or less by the same logic. Obviously quality of life can be different based on current economic situation in each country, etc.

London is beautiful
The only time I've been to London (other than airports) I had a flight cancelation. I had to spend the night so I could fly back to Dallas the next day and decided to look around. Many of the places near my hotel closed (it was around 6 PM). I found an itallian restaurant and decided to get something to go back to the hotel as it was getting dark. Once I tasted it in my hotel room it was simply the best damn Italian food I have ever had. I can't find anything like that in the states and I'd gladly pay 50$ a plate for that kind of flavor.
Steven Moseng true, i been nyc and people say it has better food than london, but tourist spots donot cater ethnic food as much as manhatten does, because retail space is so expensive in central london, however, london beats nyc anyday on food
Steven Moseng London’s food scene is not too great though, but you do get pretty much any cuisine from all over the world there if you like. I just noticed that it’s important to research a little bit, because on average, most of regular food points can be pretty average (though still expensive).
