oh man, you just saved my Avenger-life. I never thought that this was possible. I only listened that many sequences were out of tune and I saw no way to influence that. Always thought: what a waste of great arps. THANK YOU!!!!!
Hi THANK YOU for this video it gave me HOPE!!! lol Can you do this video on the Logic X DAW, for those of us that are NOT too TECH savy and couldn't understand what you did? APPRECIATED much if you consider it :) THANK_YOU!!
A very well made and very understandable video. Also a very well balanced balance between spoken commentary and the music parts. There are numerous videos on RUclips where the spoken commentary is far too quiet in relation to the music. In order to understand the comment, you increase the volume - and the next moment the music suddenly booms far too loud from the speakers. With a video like this, I click next very quickly ...Greetings from 🇩🇪
Brilliant! I think sequences from Nexus instead of Avenger to Serum or Ana 2. I usually just figure out the midi on a sequencer...but not all sequencers have number points like 0 0 0 -2 0 0 0 +2. Great little tutorial Demis.
Nothing wrong with that, it’s a good way to learn by ear 👂 I mostly use the ears only recently have I started building with my piano lessons knowledge. 🙂
Extremely helpful video mate. Quick question, how to honour the velocity of the capture arp notes? In my experience the velocity doesn’t transfer over to the captured midi.
How did you paint in all those rolling bass notes on the Key Editor so quickly? That looks like a handy technique to know. Thanks for the video...subbed.
That's very interesting. Avenger seems like a powerful tool to generate ideas. Is Avenger the best in this regard or are there other better tools ? I was watching Dr Mix demo Avenger 2 recently and was really impressed.
If you want everything in one package then this is viable option. however if you are still learning a lot I would opt for a simple synth get more familiar. Avenger can be overwhelming pretty quickly.
So i tried to split up a sequence for it's individual parts by sending midi to another VST in FL, solo'd the bass in avenger but ALL the midi data went to the VST(so i'ts playing lead, bass, drums all at once >_
Guy, this is very cool, after 2 years I finally saw your video and found out about it, I tried to do the same thing with nexus, but unfortunately did not work, maybe you found a solution? Subscribe to you, thank you
Not necessarily, extracting and reverse engineering is a great way to learn. My learning process is working backwards then recreating to understand the process. 😎🎛
@@demishellen yep that's what i wanna use this function for while learning music theory alongside producing plus let's be honest, SQ's are fun but they don't fit in a track or mix great as a whole so being able to mute/solo sections n arm record out is perfect cause for years i heard awesome sequences in genres i wanted to attempt or use individual melody/rhythm, this gives the ability to speed up a beginning process & gain a little confidence and you can just save the loop/track and as a theory exercise go over the what makes up that particular section. i'll be sending my theory teacher midi files(or even the sheet music with some software that converts them) and we'll talk about them. keep up the good work!
@@lolsucks3599 it’s exactly the same as a guitar player or other musician transcribing licks from recordings. An essential part of the learning process.
Kurt Cobain knew zero theory but he’s a household name and you aren’t. Theory is for explaining what someone else did, it’s not a good guide for musical innovation. Basically none of 20th century composers would have been able to write what they did if they followed the theory of the 1600s.
That avenger skin is epic!!!
Nice video! I would like so much the same tutorial with FL Studio :)

No problem Peter, enjoy extracting your favourite melodies 😎
I love that feature in Avenger.

Programing the arp in Omnisphere 2 and just drag and drop the sequence into a midi track :)
How do I sync VPS Avenger with my DAW? I have Logic Pro X
I prefer this than exporting midi! Thanks you, this tutorial has been a great help
Just amazing! Thanks so much
Wow.. Easy and very usable
Keep the avenger tutes coming Dennis
Thanks nice tutorial, but sadly cant achieve the same thing on cubase 13((
I’ll be checking all my synths now 👻

Thanks Demis, very useful
No problem Dan 🙂🎛
Can't do this in Logic Pro. Any tips will help. Thanx
I will test this tomorrow 😊
Awesome 😎

Super thanks, Awesome tutorial 🤝👌
THANKS FOR THIS ..SUBED !!
Hi,can you do this with any vst instruments or with specific only?
I tried with several such as Halion, Spire, Serum but nothing works?
🤔🤔
..this is only for cubase, is there a way to do that in logic x??regards
Great tutorial Demis thanks a lot....

is this also working in Logic Pro?

Thx a million
Why is it not possible to do this with other VST than Avenger ?
Some other synths can but avenger has a lot of genre specific content of good quality. (Talking midi)
Fabtastic

Do you use this method? And you have anything to add I am sure everyone will appreciate hints and tips 🎛😎

All that is useless cause you dont really understand the music writing process behind why they did that.

@@demishellen It can help but only if u understand why they did what they did, then yes.
