Thanks for the review. I have been using it for scrubbies for a few months now. You can make scrubbies very quickly! I have given several out for opinions. The claim of not smelling is what attracted me. I have found this to be true and was looking for quick dishcloth patterns now. Did you have a video for your pattern?
I didn't use a particular pattern. I just found a stitch in my dictionary called the Nubbly Stitch, worked a few rows of it and then single crocheted all the way around. I'll get a tutorial of the Nubbly stitch together soon!
I make these for Christmas gifts. However, I use the Scrub-ology COTTON. Also, I switched out to knitting them. I think its easier on my hands. Excellent review!! These hold up well. Can be tossed in hot load or placed in your Dishwasher.
Thank you Maggie. I found this yarn hard on the hands also. What I found is that you can do a more open fabric and the yarn still does all the work in cleaning.
Good informative review. I am in Canada and went to Michaels to purchase and they do not carry this. I have used the eyelash kind and yes you are very correct that it is hard to see stitches, so I doubled it with a cotton and was much easier to see stitches, it was quite thick which worked out as I only needed to chrochet a one sided scrubbie. I will continue my search for this scrub ology.........thanks for the review.......happy hookin.......:)
Thanks for giving the run down on this yarn. I tried the Red Heart scrubbie yarn and couldn't see my stitches and it was too hard to work with for me. I want to get this "tube style" yarn so I don't have to struggle with it and just relax and enjoy crocheting scrubbies that I love so much. :)
EXCELLENT DETAILED INFORMATION... you pretty much answered everything I’d just like to see how you made that dish cloth, but perhaps it’s in another video
I'm going to try and make a shower scrubber. I have a difficult time washing my back and I think this material will work really well. I also thing it will feel nice. It will scratch my back as well as clean it.
I have used this yarn on a loom for scrubbies and really liked it. The chase of the yarn has been a problem . My husband and I took a road trip and he got a laugh how I was always rewinding the yarn. I bought a plastic food saver container, punched a hole in the top and this helped after I rolled it into a ball. I will try your suggestion about starting from the outside on the next one, though. Hope there will be more colors but do like the ones I found when I traveled that weren’t in my home state. Scrubby mom
If you can’t afford a food saver container or a yarn container, you can always use a ziplock bag and close it just enough to have a small hole for the yarn.
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe my hands are just much drier than they should be or I'm just a wimp! I found it pretty rough, but I also know that's how it's supposed to be since it's for scrubbing. Thanks for watching!
What about using this for a back scrubber? Found a pattern for both knitting and crocheting. Definitely too abrasive for face-but wondered about something for backs. Thoughts?
I saw a really cute pattern to make scrubbies using this but I don't think I can find this yarn in Canada. Wish I could find a substitute because the colours are fantastic!
Great video, thank you for sharing your knowledge! I have a couple questions for you. How long will this dish cloth hold up before it gets stinky like the cotton ones? I love the "scrubby" yarn for preventing the mildew smell but it can't be used to wipe up spills on the counters or table. Does this yarn absorb like cotton or is it more like the polyester scrubby yarn?
I love it for loofahs, but my skin is pretty tough so it doesn’t mind a scratchy texture with the nylon and I’m not taking baths that are so hot it melts :)
I have made scrubbies with scrub-ology yarn and I love them. They make great gifts and work wonderfully with dishes and even scrubbing my shower which I hate to clean. These make it much easier! But I can’t seem to get them dried out between uses. Is this normal? Do you know a trick to drying them out?
On the video for scrubbie made of Scrubology yarn you said you might could have made the scrubbie smaller and could have 2 scrubbies instead of 1. What would those measurements be?
I would love a pattern for a scrubby with this yarn. I bought one skein today ..and how do you finish it off since it does not look like it wants to stay put when you work it in
I thought the dish cloth was a little inflexible and awkward. I think scrubbies or a small rectangle like a scotch brite pad might be a better application for it. Thanks for watching!
I wish I would have watched this before I took the paper wrap off. It exploded and unraveled all over the place. I’m combining it with Crafter’s Secret thin cotton yarn to make a dishcloth. Haven’t gotten too far yet. We’ll see how it goes.
I don't have a tutorial or pattern for this project. I'll see if I can figure out what stitch it was and work on a tutorial for it. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
Thanks for the review! I like seeing Yarn Bee reviews because I think they make great yarn and they don't always get a lot of love. I made some red scrubbers with this, but I found that the dye was bleeding every time I washed dishes with it. Do you know of a way to set the dye so it won't bleed anymore?
They make some great yarns! I will look in to the bleeding issue and let you know. I didn't wet my sample, but I didn't get any indication that it was losing dye as I worked it up, but it could be color dependent. Thanks for watching and the feedback!
I don't have a tutorial or pattern for this project. It was just a stitch pattern I found in a book and made a square out of it. I'll see if I can find it again and let you know what it was called.

Great suggestion! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your research and honest feedback on Yarn Bee scrub yarn. Could I put them in the microwave for 1 minute to kill the germs after use?
I also had the problem with it unwinding.I really like the result of the dish cloth. Does good job with the dishes.

Yarn Bee yarn is only sold at Hobby Lobby. Lion Brand yarn has a similar type yarn.
So glad I found this! I just bought some!! I’m wondering if putting a little Vaseline around my fingers might help with the chaffing a bit?
I just finished making 60 of these scrubbies not hard on my hands what so ever beautiful yarn and making more
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!

This should be a lot easier to work with than scrubbie. Thanks for watching!
EXCELLENT DETAILED INFORMATION... you pretty much answered everything

Love the pattern! Looking around for a tutorial, did you ever get around to making one? I can't find it, if it was ever done.
I'm going to try and make a shower scrubber. I have a difficult time washing my back and I think this material will work really well. I also thing it will feel nice. It will scratch my back as well as clean it.
That yarn was the best for me i have no idea of what you are talking about. It’s awesome yarn.

That's a great tip for those who might not want to pull from the outside or already started on a ball from the center! Thanks for sharing!

I can't agree with her i just made scrubbies with this yarn and loved it not at all hard on my hands i love this yarn and going to buy some more

Very nice review. Professional....Good job.

I've used it to make spinners as they last longer outdoors.

I found that rolling it into a ball worked for me.

Can I use this yarn to make a dishcloth to help with washing dishes? Is this yarn heat resistant?
Stupid question, how to seal the ends of the yarn; it's fraying a bit on me.
I don,t find this yarn to be abrasive on my hands, but when you make the round type scrubbie with it, it takes a long time to dry.
What brand are those colorful skeins in the background
Lion Brand has new cotton yarns that come on a big cone! I'd love to see a review!
I'll look in to that! Thanks for the suggestion! Thanks for watching!
Does this yarn make nice dish cloths I've made doz of scribbies and love it

My first time trying on Friday the20th of December 2019. I like ok and it can be difficult to start without a double knot because of the stretchiness.
Thanks for the feedback! Thanks for watching!
Where can I find that square pattern?
Would be nice to see the tutorial of how to make this
I don't have a tutorial or pattern for this project. I'll see if I can figure out what stitch it was and work on a tutorial for it. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
i think this is supposed to be similar to those scrubbies made from cutting tulle. I've been using basically as such. small, quick scrubbies.
Yeah I think it's supposed to be similar. It's got a slightly different feel as you work it but the end result is very similar. Thanks for watching!
I put in a box that way it keep from tangling up

I don't have a tutorial or pattern for this project. It was just a stitch pattern I found in a book and made a square out of it. I'll see if I can find it again and let you know what it was called.
detail your car
That's not a bad idea! It'd probably be good at getting bugs off. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!
