Thanks, this was a great help. I used a crow bar wrapped in a towel. This 65 year old petite woman needed the extra muscle to get the mirror out. It worked perfectly! I switched out the mirror for an expanded view mirror on a 2020 Passport.
Thank you! replacement was less than $30, a factory replacement assembly was going to be closer to $1000. This was a life saver! One caveat. if you're replacing the mirror since it's cracked, cover all the glass with masking tape to trap most the fragments of glass.
Man…here’s to evergreen content like yours 🍻. Just put the sequential LED’s in my 9th gen, now I broke about 3 or 4 things, but luckily the engineers at Honda mustve planned for some of that to happen 😅. Everything’s looks smooth lol

Would you mind doing the same video removing the back cover (skull cap) on the CR-V?. I've looked at the one for the Accord you have but the CR-V skull cap is slightly different, where I think you don't need to remove the mirror to get to it, but if you could do a video would be great. I'm trying to replace the turn signal with a sequential one but I need to get to it first and if I can save removing the mirror would be great. Thank you in advanced.

My mirror came off the adhesive within like 2 mos of owning the van, and the replacement took 8mos to come in. When they replaced it, they gave me some warped piece of crap. So I told them to put the old one back on and I’m just gonna find some high heat resistant adhesive and try that instead.

I actually had someone come into my lane, and forced me a little too close to a sign and the mirror brushed against it, knocking the mirror loose and wobbly. Pulled over and was able to push it back into place with this tutorial.

Has anyone else had the issue in their 9th gen coupe where the glass on the driver side mirror shakes at bay speed above 35? Will replacing the glass fix the issue or do I need the whole assembly?
Used this as a guide for 2016 Odyssey, drivers side. The retention to the mirror actuator was different than the clips shown, but removed the same way. I had to reinsert the Up/down lead nut when reinstalled. Very helpful. Many thanks!

Is there a video for changing the cover on the left hand side mirror without taking the door pad off and removing the whole unit? The front part of the unit is broken, and I believe that part can be replaced without buying a whole new unit. Maybe. Thanks. 😊😊
Is it just the mirror it self or is it the entire side view mirror assembly that rattles. Can you physically move side view mirror assemly with your hands? Its possible that the entire mirror assembly is loose. In that case, you just need to tighten the bolts that holds the assembly to the door.

Thank you a ton. My glass fell off on my passenger side of my 2020 Ridgeline. This helped remove and reapply glass before I can bring to dealers.

My mirror was wobbly and I thought it was finished but this tutorial helped me out.
My driver side mirror is loose/wobbly. Was yours not installed correctly to begin with. Did you just have to fully push and snap it in place?

I actually had someone come into my lane, and forced me a little too close to a sign and the mirror brushed against it, knocking the mirror loose and wobbly. Pulled over and was able to push it back into place with this tutorial.

Yes, the procedure is the same. The mirror is held on by the white square mount that is connected on the back of the mirror.

Nothing more needs to be done. It will work with the controls once installed back correctly .
