I live in the North of Sweden and own this car right now, it looks way better now and is ready for some engine and driveline upgrades this winter. Pretty funny finding this video just by accident.
I love, love, love these mid 60's mopars. I had a 1966 Belvedere with a 383 4 barrel, 727 auto back in 1986. 700 bucks. I miss that car. Someday I hope to get another or a car similar to it. Love this car.
Yeh..I remember jumping my car to start it from under the hood like he did by jumping the terminals on the starter solenoid with a screw driver. The key has to be turned on in the ignition switch though. Brings back memories.
My girlfriends dad drove one of these which was Black and Red with a red interior . I also had a model kit of this car in 1967 and I liked how this car copied the Impala 3-light system with a back-up light . That 5:52 crank issue sounds exactly like a timing issue where it is too far advance for the BTDC degrees. I'd back it off to help crank it over until I checked all the cylinders for compression to spot bad Rings or Valves and then do an Oil flush and change the filter in case an Oil passage is partially clogged or a sticky Oil ring on the piston .
Good luck trying to find a barn with early 60's Japanese cars because my 76 Honda went through 2 exhaust system in 3 years while the tin can front fenders rusted off at the bottom mounting bolts . I watched a video where a 32 FORD was pulled out of a garage in original condition and once the fuel was purged from the tank and lines and the motor oil replaced the car started up and ran after almost 50 years of dust in the garage since the early 1960's. Solid car for a resto-mod .
… yeah those kinda videos are fun to watch because if your mechanical and have been around engines that are started after sitting for 20 plus years. You just gotta know all these cowboys n cowgirls who attempt starting these engines after just only changing the oil and sometimes not even that, without dropping the pan and purging the oil delivery system are in for a surprise down the road. The engines that more than likely when parked ran just fine internally, will now just mill themselves to extinction. Somewhere along the oil pathways and oil galleries are gonna be components gummy beared up including the oil filter boss check valve or perhaps the oil pump itself and it's uptake screen to mention just a few components…. Yeah always fun to watch .
… so what does that mean - You did nothing more but change the oil and tap on the dried out accelerator plunger in the carb to get this thing started ? … Then if you are not Irish you are then indeed just lucky ….
HAHA I like to have fun with the whole thing, everybody likes to bust your balls on RUclips. Thanks for the support and enjoy the channel dude with two first names :)
Ryan David 8 I can Guaranty you that if hot rodders or manufacture's alike would of thought about how good a larger wheel looks and just how amazing a 20 inch wheel with fat rubber and the perfect off-set would look on a rod like this they would of done it long ago. Now if your talking about those super huge 28" and up wheels then yes, that's ridiculous so for the future I think it's important to be more specific when talking "big wheels" because that can mean so many things these days you know
Probably should fix the ignition so one would not have to start it from the engine compartment. Good that someone from Sweden bought it, gonna be hard to come from there to beat the snot out of the one that sold it.
wendell worth Lol first thing I seen how crude My street racer 68 Roadrunner we installed a pushbutton switch on the firewall and a kill switch you turn ignition to on position then fire it up from the firewall or leave switch off to prime motor with fresh oil or find top dead center etc it was a cool set up this guy is a junk yard mech go to Vatozone and buy a fresh battery !
That is a sweet car love those 64 Dodge's and Plymouth's that too bad the car did not stay n the states but those Europeans love American Muscle just as much as we do
Sorry the previous comment thought you got rid of that scoop was the trunk lid fix that air cleaner and put a hemi hood scoop a wide one similar to the six pac roadrunner hood
Not a chance those are original. I'm not an expert but those look like they're off a mid 70s gran fury. I never knew the ventilated ones were for cop cars.
This may be a 426 Street Ram.....365HP? Like c300g says, not a Max w/o the C/R induction. These engines did NOT represent Chrysler very well........others called them Street Rats!.......And they were, BTW, .......I was there, & I'm a Mopar guy, at least I was then.
Nice car, looks like a 426 street wedge, not a Max Wedge. The street wedge came with a single low rise 4 barrel intake with snorkeless chrome air cleaner, and log style exhaust manifolds, but this engine is running later model b body exhaust manifolds and seemingly taller intake. A true Max Wedge came with a high rise dual quad cross ram intake manifold and long sweep header style cast iron exhaust manifolds. Thanks for sharing this beauty.
I kick myself for not buying this when it came up for sale on eBay. I had the cash but wasn't in the mindset to buy yet. As I remember the engine ID'd as a 413 am i right?
That’s not original motor it should be a 426 wedge but it’s the earlier 413 with some trashed out carburetor so who now what this car came with only one wheel peel so could have been a poly 318 maybe a 6 who knows got to read the tags
I think was a 6 cylinder car and someone put that shitty sounding motor in that buddy was going to blow up the way he was Erving it he is no mechanic he was running it with the breather moving up and down till he got wise and took of make it into a factory looking drag car with a max wedge or a hemi or something like that get rid of ugly hood scoop a posi with caltracts I don’t know just don’t leave it stock they look best like a factory race car but with a 1000 horse or more it’s my favorite style out of all Chrysler’s I tryed to buy a 65 black polars about 40 years ago but I could not track the owner down would love to have this car
Omg stop revving it with zero load! Let's fire this old engine up not bother to tighten the air can and wing it it to 3500 right away Jesus Murphy! Clueless
car was going to get ripped apart and restored, we've slinged more old cars that most people have seen in their lives, didn't hurt this old girl at all. Keep in mind the 2,000 plus videos on my channel are all cars I've sold, 90 percent of them

Thats awesome, I'd love to see it today Sam26dad@hotmail.com

Thanks for checking it out and enjoy the channel. Not many classic cars out there today for 700 bucks.
No. That time is probably a thing of the past. It's a shame really as many have been priced out of the hobby.
This car is perfect the way it is, ran hard and put away wet! Thanks for sharing.
Yeh..I remember jumping my car to start it from under the hood like he did by jumping the terminals on the starter solenoid with a screw driver. The key has to be turned on in the ignition switch though. Brings back memories.

Man I'm sure the new owner could use some help sorting her out!
Dog dish hubcaps are way better looking than oversize clown rims.
They're not clown rims they're doofus rims
I could drive and dig that

ZZZZ She still runs great.

Rrr matey
I just love the comments from from professional basement referees, like it's their car.

Lots of potential!
Absolutely 💯, appreciate you watching 👀

He would shake his hand he got a GREAT deal :) Rare car hahaha beauty is in the eye of beholder right?!

I see it has the special order optional self adjusting air filter.
Sounds like the timing is a bit to advanced the way it kinda delayed cranking over . Nice find .
Good ear
my heart skips a beat
You and me both. Thanks for watching
Swedish folks always coming over here buying up all our classic cars.
Yeah I've been guilty of sending a few over there.
Do it up right that will be one bad ass car

Greetings from Argentina
Greetings from Texas! Thanks for checking out this barn find musclecar and enjoy the channel. I appreciate the comment!
Don't put stupid big rims on this and keep it period correct. Also drive the thing, don't just trailer it around.
You just said it all
That is a sweet car love those 64 Dodge's and Plymouth's that too bad the car did not stay n the states but those Europeans love American Muscle just as much as we do
Memorable Polara
She's timed too high for the old starter. She is sweet
Can't believe it is one legged.
Worn out rear end most likely
The orange monster!
It speaks for it's self
Beast
a diamond in the rough
+Peter Varga Yeah it is! Will be a great car finished out. Thanks for checking her out and enjoy the channel

Memorable muscle car
Not a Max, but still very cool!
💪
There's something about barn finds!!
440??
Love It
At 4:01, I spied a cop cap! Was this a retired police car? Or did somebody put those heat diffusing hubcaps on for show?
Not a chance those are original. I'm not an expert but those look like they're off a mid 70s gran fury. I never knew the ventilated ones were for cop cars.
The guy says “factory 4-speed”, but do I see a push button shift setup ⁉️ Maybe it’s the heater buttons?
I have a 440 model. Canadian made with no engine plus vinal top. And 6 tail lights. Can't find any like it. Anything special?
Interesting
Step 1: Start car. Step 2: Rev engine until it nearly explodes for some reason.
But did it die!? haha Enjoy the channel!
Then put a completely stupid-ass hood scoop on the freaking thing 😂🤪☠️💩
Looks like it has a factory radio delete plate. Hmmm
This may be a 426 Street Ram.....365HP? Like c300g says, not a Max w/o the C/R induction. These engines did NOT represent Chrysler very well........others called them Street Rats!.......And they were, BTW, .......I was there, & I'm a Mopar guy, at least I was then.

+Brenda Car Girl It ended up being a 413 ! Thanks for checking it out :)
“It's Alive”😜
True!
thats more than likely a 426 street wedge. 365 horse, 470 ft lbs torque
A hoss
Why does everyone think any early 60's Mopar is a "MAX WEDGE" ?? It's just a single carb 426.
It's name is MAX
god i hope this car isn,t swimming right now
😆
One wheel peel not factory race or it would have a posi ??im surprised for a big block car no posi
👀
Tune the engine but the rest of the car leave be what a story it tells
I'd restore it and drive it everyday

+leonard burns Cool Beans Leonard. This one ended up having a 413 engine
I kick myself for not buying this when it came up for sale on eBay. I had the cash but wasn't in the mindset to buy yet. As I remember the engine ID'd as a 413 am i right?

SH*T !
This dude is dangerous
bwhahaha we have fun!
Four wheel discs n a freshen up,thats all pls
💪
Its a HotRod Taxi Cab.
😆 👍
If that engine is original then it's definitely not a Max Wedge, probably the 365 Hp version.
Thanks for checking it out
Not a Sure Grip.In a max wedge 4 speed?
That’s not original motor it should be a 426 wedge but it’s the earlier 413 with some trashed out carburetor so who now what this car came with only one wheel peel so could have been a poly 318 maybe a 6 who knows got to read the tags
