    The fact that it comes with hydraulic brakes, tapered head tube, and 29er+ wheels are definitely bonuses. I have seen several other YT channels buying the Kent Trouvaille, but this looks to be a slight upgrade to it.

    • @RunBikeMike
      @RunBikeMike  2 года назад +4

      Yes it is two levels above the Trouvaille. And looked to offer the best parts.

      But you can put 200$ into the Kent and have a way nicer bike than this and spend less

      With that said what parts would you go for with that $200. If it were me I would 1st go hydraulic brakes for sure and if possible a dropper post.

    I am really enjoying this bike. I have had it for 2 weeks now. I let my local bike shop put it together and look it over and they were impressed with the specs on this bike. This is entry level bike shop quality in my opinion, actually better for the price in my eyes. I am very happy with this bike and highly recommend it.

    • @RunBikeMike
      @RunBikeMike  2 года назад +2

      Could be the 120mm fork and I also believe the frame is slightly bigger. Plus my scale is not super accurate as it is just a fish scale. So I might weigh it on several scales this next video. I came up with a little over 36lbs about 5 times before I said ok that is as good as this scale will get.

    Just got my Trouvaille in the mail and assembled it this weekend. The rear brakes suck, but it does have a 42 tooth, which is weird this Giordano has a 40 tooth. The kickstand is pretty hefty. Take it off to save some weight - even if the flange is left over...

      @@dgunde13gunderson78 No you don't want to use grease. Grease will allow more dirt to stick to your drivetrain and wear it out quickly also get all over you when you ride. You need a good Wet weather lube like this. amzn.to/3sKx6Le
      Add the lube then spin the chain backwards for about 10-20 turns. Then take a clean towel and clean off the extra lube on the chain. You only need a fine coat of lube to really keep it running smooth. If your bike gets wet each week. I would recommend checking and lubing every week.
