As a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) driver, I found that Interesting.

at my work we use GC20-33N (propane gas) which is made by CAT which it only have shift, tilt and raise and that it but this forklift spreading fork without getting off the forklift is good feature that we relay need at my work but not electric.

there is a little trick you can do with most fork lifts so you can shift the forks without getting out of the cab. at work what I do is unlock one of the forks and leave the other one locked and then if I hold the mast level I can slam the forks on the ground which will lift the unlocked fork up from the mast and then I can shift the mast and the unlocked fork will shift over while the locked fork stays in place. but this only works if your forks can go all the way to the ground and I know not all fork lifts can do that, some of them will stop about an inch from the ground.
