Nice video. However Ubuntu should not be put as a "user-friendly" OS for new users. Mint and Zorin OS are significantly better options that are much easier (intuitive) to learn.

Nothing wrong with the usability of Ubuntu. Even my 80 year old father use it.

@theyellowmongoose6181 When I moved from windows, I tried Ubuntu, not very intuitive for me. It reminded me of been more Mac like from what I'd seen of thier layout in pictures. Never used a Mac, so was completely lost. Linux Mint was what I went with in the end. But that was only because I managed to somehow crash Pop OS. Hey what can I say. I like to poke at things, Lol. Also was easier to install Linux Mint. Both of them, thier layouts are more windows like. Also Linux mint is as stable as Hang and not easy to mess up. Which as a fairly clueless person, messing with more than the basics, says something Lol. Zorin too is a good choice for a beginner, layout wise. Though I've only had limited experience with it and I don't know how stable it is compared to Mint.

@@dappermuis5002 I agree. Ubuntu is not what I would recommend as a starting desktop OS (maybe Ubuntu server is OK). Linux Mint is definitely one of the best desktop OSes, not just for beginners, but for just having a solid desktop OS.

These are videos for linux users to flex, not for hardcore windows users to switch.
    1. You make it sound like its 50gb of bloatware. Most people can just ignore them and they will be fine. Candy crush, spotify and some windows games.
    2. you HAVE to keep your linux updated too. a 5 minutes restart every couple of weeks is not a problem. It is not like windows updates every 5 minutes and force a restart every 6.
    3. The big 4 already have my information. Google, Microsoft, Apple and Facebook. I don't do shady things so I don't care about helping MS with telemetry to make windows better.
    4. Not all of us care. My desktop have no icons and is a solid color.
Linux have its use, like fixing windows machines or be a server for windows machines.
Give me a good reason to switch like I'm not a rural grandma

@@armandaneshjoo I honestly feel like most people just straight up hate Windows. Everything has telemetry nowadays, even Linux. I personally am tech savvy myself, so after a good securing and debloating process, my Windows 11 OS is pretty damn stable & clean, no bloatware whatsoever.
I like Linux, don't get me wrong. I just don't have much use for them on my daily needs.
