Very nice game by Hans. All these Guico Piano's tempt me towards playing it. Then I remind myself of the insane amount of theory I would probably have to learn. :) Glad you presented this one, as I had not seen it. Thanks!
fun game. i didnt understand some nuances like 24.Rxh2 instead of Kxh2, the rook looks so lost to me on h2 but i guess not to masters eyes. also, theres some more fun lines after the qa4-b4 idea, if gukesh had gone for 18...Nxf5 19.exf5 d5 20.Qd6
Very well played by Niemann. Gukesh came up a little bit short this time, but he is young and seems to have a very high ceiling. Both players will be playing at the highest levels for a long time.
Why you think that? He’s dropped almost 50 rating points now at a really young age. Kind of weird for an up and coming player. I suppose you’d blame the stress, or what’s the great excuse?
@@sumitstirjust recently a ruling from one of the official chess bodies made it clear that Carisen had no basis to accuse Neimann of cheating. As for his prior behavior, that behavior was admitted to and isn’t relevant to the more recent allegations.
“The matter was addressed by FIDE, first by an Investigatory Panel of the Fair Play Commission (FPL). They concluded that there was no evidence of cheating by GM Niemann at the 2022 Sinquefield Cup and other over-the-board tournaments played by GM Niemann over the preceding three years. The FPL therefore concluded that GM Carlsen’s accusations against GM Niemann were unfounded as far as they concern over-the-board chess. The FPL also found that GM Carlsen’s withdrawal from the tournament was directly related to his belief that GM Niemann had cheated in their game.”

That's a real hot take there champ. How exactly do you suppose he is cheating? They are checked by security on the way in, there's a relay delay, and no phones, etc. are allowed. Probably just some sour Gukesh fan.

Niemann is becoming a force! Great video Thank you
A fine attacking idea. Thanks Daniel.
Nice analysis. I saw Ra4 idea early on, but I doubt I would have found Qa4-b4.
Increíble victoria de Niemann!
qa4-b4 was a beautiful manouvre

The more of Hans Niemanns games I see, the more I think Carlsen, in terms of his accusations, was just full of 'sour grapes'.
Exactly, as Daniel said on the channel at the time, for Magnus to make the cheating accusation without evidence was just poor sportsmanship.
Really? What about his confessions on cheating online?

black lion attack was refuted by white lion Niemann :)
g5 Kf4 is good for black
No flipping board! please
Haven't been able to fully enjoy Niemann's games since the controversy. Every move of his is potentially suspicious. 😔
Ridiculous
Respectfully FIDE just said that there is no evidence that Neimann cheated over the board.

The constant pounding on the table is just amateurish.
Very clean cheating
His cheating speaks of itself
Nonsense!
