As an Agatha Christie fan, I found this audiobook to be a perfect rendition of one of her intriguing Miss Marple stories. The attention to detail in the narration and the atmospheric setting created by the audio make it a must-listen. Thank you!
Have read Agatha Christie books for many years...the Audio about the Red bathing costume and blood stains..dripping from balcony..how come did sailor or women who saw them then did not. Did I miss something ..enjoy the stories very much..
I love these stories by Agatha Christie, but I’ve listened to them for a few years narrated by Joan Hickson. As much as I admire Juliette Stevenson I can’t listen as Joan Hickson narration is perfect
My son would agree with you about Joan Hickson. We all have our own favourite Miss Marple 😊 Mine's Geraldine McEwan and for reading any Agatha Christie I think Hugh Fraser is unbeatable. This series with Juliet Stevenson is also really excellent though.
Yes, probably a little heavy for the lighthearted plot and characters in the story. BBC did the same with some bizzarre music for the equally mismatched hash they made with a sort of Enid Blyton's Famous Five story broadcast over Christmas.
Spoiled by wierd background noises! I heard this recording elsewhere on RUclips but without the bizzarre noises.... much better! Some people may not be able to hear it due to deficiences in their spectrum of audio reception.
Julet Stevenson, I first noticed her as a named cast member when she was playing a policewoman in TV drama, anyone remember that part? But actually I've seen her lots of times.... She was the sorrowing young wife in that wonderful film with the late Alan Rickman, *Truly Madly, Deeply.* Great film about bereavement. Here is Wikipedia with some of Juliet Stevenson film credits: *"... is an English actress of stage and screen. She is known for her role in the film Truly, Madly, Deeply (1991), for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Her other film appearances include Emma (1996), Bend It Like Beckham (2002), Mona Lisa Smile (2003), Being Julia (2004), Infamous (2006), The Enfield Haunting (2015), Wolf (2023), and Reawakening (2024)."*
Just found this series…..loving it ❤
I don’t hear any background noise that some are complaining of. Very good reading 📚
Agatha's simple Old World Genius at the best 😉
Excellent storytelling. No background noise for me❤

Wonderful!
Perfect series of short stories beautifully read by one of our finest actresses 😊 Thank you so much.
These are very entertaining and the perfect length.
Juliet Stevenson rocks! Excellent reading!
Great reading, great characterization, I'm a happy new subscriber.
Welcome!
I liked the story and the narration very much, only the background noises disturbed me.
Agatha Christie I love thee ❤😢
❤️❤️❤️
She had a great sense of humour.

Great reading⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💖🥰🤗
I had to return to the story at least 5 times to finally hear the ending_ but it was most certainly worth it 😎
Yeah, lose the annoying music. Maybe at beginning and end but not in background. Its Agatha Christie, not Hammer House of Horror! X😬👍

I enjoyed the book but why the ridiculous background noise. Very distracting and wholly unnecessary.
Your a pain you just like whining and whingeing
Couldn't agree more. 👍🏻
**SPOILER ALERT*
Any comments about plot or ending in reply below.
Nobody likes the background noise 😋 We have a loved one with schizophrenia. Background noise ... meh.
Dreadful narrator, sorry. Record it with Hugh Fraser or David Suchet and see the difference.
I think she is an excellent reader for the series especially those of Miss Marple's detection
