Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. After King’s Cross, a quick pop over to Paddington railway station for an hour capturing all that is coming in and out of there. One thing I do have to say now, the 800’s are now a common to sight on the Great Western Mainline while the HST’s are slowly departing from its current operator either being stored and/or moved to other operators such as Scotrail. More trains now running on electric into Paddington but still has the odd diesel coming in as well. Hope you all enjoy this!
Trains include: Great Western Railway 800’s, 802’s, 387’s, 165’s & HST’s, Heathrow Express 332’s, TfL 360’s and Crossrail class 345 units along with background shots of London Underground Tube trains

From my viewpoint as a man and Railway Enthusiast here in Melbourne Australia,🇦🇺, your video here is a great insight into London's train stations and services, especially these longer - distance trains. Your HSTs served as references for the XPTs in New South Wales during the early 1980s. Great video 👍✔️, please keep up the good work.
I’ve tried to get a FGW HST on film for ages. Never got one, and I went to Paddington yesterday. Didn’t see half the stuff you do now.
Another great video
I miss the HST
great film as always mate, sad days seeing the HSTs nearly extinct from the GWML, thumbs up from me mate
No not true cuz they are slam doors and I don't think GWR might like sliding hst doors on there intercity service
@@millercool21 Ant that is not true, they have been operating over 40 years on GWML
Train sim world brought me here 😂😂
Has it
Has it asly brought you there
You’ll never know
Omg same
Also one train ’sim’ bought me here too
New to this great video and loads of different trains as well 😀
0:57 You can see the Circle/Hammersmith & City Line trains at Royal Oak
Tristan thats how close royal oak is to paddington
Yeah if you’re at Royal Oak you can look at Paddington and do some train spotting there
Watching this after putting train spotting into the search as wanted to see some trains. This was the only one that turned up in the middle of a bunch of videos about some scotting junkies
Great video!
a new era of IEP`s has begun by the looks of it
Hermoso vídeo , hermosas capturas, eres genial. gracias.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing I liked and subbed to your channel 👍
Nice video. I subscribe. Merry Christmas!
Can't believe that Paddington is now under the "knitting" (catenary) !!!. I was last there in 96' and there was nothing there ....Has a class 92 ever turned up yet since ???
Great stuff there also subbed you mate
Feels like Shinjuku but with less crowding, less trains, and more diesel
Is it just me or is it that a plane lover is also a train lover as well

I would like more HSTs firing up but good video :D
There won,t be any more HSTs out of paddington for much longer.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 why?
@@twistedcheese1 The class 43s are over 40 years old, and the brand new but less charming 800s are replacing them on GWR. LNER's HSTs are going at the end of this year, being replaced by similar class 802 "Azumas".
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 ik
Yep, *GWR* is better the SWR, which doesnt suck however
I drove one of these!
In TSW 2020 obviously
Is the GWML now electrified?
It goes from London to Bristol parkway if your heading towards Bristol Temple Meads. But of you are going towards Swansea, it’s electrified all the way to Cardiff.
@@SteveFTW5 All with an overhead line, or with third rail?
Railway lover all overhead
@@SteveFTW5 Okay, cool, thank you for your answer!
Railway lover no problem
Excepcional viaje desde Londres a Bath Spa por GWR
See the Dark green blank windows at the front of the class 800/802 does that mean first class?
Thats the catering section and guards area.
@@iman2341 ok I always wondered about that, thanks buddy
The 165s are not there any more right? Or have they been replaced with 800s?
@beanz leave him he's just a stupid person who doesn't know transport
Most of them, the 387s replaced the 165/166s. Soon, GWR will order new 769 trains to replace the 166s express commuters that are left remaining.
Does anyone else hate the idea of two five car sets making up a full express service ? A train is a train
Where is train to Berlin?
Next stop Swansea 👌🏻
how next stop is swansea from paddington that is just too long non-stop
Dear Friend:
I am going to travel to England next year and since I am a railroad fan, I want to know that station near London allows me to observe trains at high speed.
Sincerely, Fausto Brindisi from Argentina
Why did the train at 4:50 have green doors instead of the usual grey w/ green stripe?
Signal reflecting
No. They were the shade of green that the rest of the train is. It must have been a design mistake.
@@Lewwytravels reflection of a green light
The IETs are great in a lot of ways, I just wish they had comfortable seats. Hopefully GWR will learn their lesson soon and replace them
GWR are progressively replacing the stock Hitachi seats with a new seat covering, which in my opinion, is much more comfortable.
@@csmar7746 Really?, that's good, I haven' travelled on one for a while. It was my only major gripe with them
@@csmar7746 is it in the 2020s?
Does tfl run the line now all the way up to Hayes and Harrington instead of gwr?
TfL Rail run to Heathrow (Class 360/2) and the TfL Rail go to Hayes and Harlington too with the Class 345, which is not able to go to heathrow yet.
@MT Productions my dad built the crossrail train
@ 8:39 wow that gap is huge
Ikr
HSTs are much better than IETs! Don’t agree with me? Argue below, you’ll lose.
6:00 at first I thought it's in the older FGW livery
YEET
Gwr is getting out of the First group franchise, so maybe FGW might return
Do you know why london has like 15 stations? I am curious.
There are 270 stations in london, with 14 main terminals. I guess its just because the city is so large.
@@intercity4553 London is a huge capital, but it's city is very small
Its one of the busiest transport hubs in the world, each station goes in one direction out - so north west for Euston, south west for Waterloo etc. Paddington is for trains to the West and Wales
@@ala0284 and Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, and Berkshire.
@@ala0284 they'll be also some stop services to swindon

I know plane spotting is a thing but I didn’t know train spotting was also a thing?
what how you would think it would be the other way around
I am Brazilian, to be more exact of Rio de Janeiro, The trains there are very different than the ones that operate here in Rio de Janeiro, The service here unfortunately does not have as much quality as neither
I went to see this video and I realized how noisy the trains here are and that they rock too much like a trampoline
2 years ago from yesterday! 😂😂😂😂
Good job skipped through the best part of this... got to 22mins and still no HST firing out of pads, disappointing 🥴😡
14:14 there is a hst
Them 8 car Heathrow express trains with no one on them. What a great use of rolling stock and money.
Burning Wang mabey they were all lying down 😂😂

Wait till you ride one, they're uncomfortable, sickening & completely rubbish! The HSTs are much, much better!

Maybe I’m 3rd place
what a mess of rails...
Well yes and no. Because the rails look ugly but they need them for trains to switch over
Hahahahah train sim world
See you later train sim this is better
Uncomfortable plastic crap reigns supreme...
why are they crap?
It's only my opinion obviously but I think they have no character, feel cheaply built and are uncomfortable and noisier than MK3 stock.
The HSTs>plastic carp
@@twistedcheese1 800 are better than the HSTs.
@@plymouthtoleedsonaxchst9537 They just don't like profession of technology. But globalism is a cause of this that's why its cheaper to buy the trains pre-built and then ship them over here.
Just so boring now...bring back the 50's, 52's & 47's
i guess the 125 on GWR are still in use because the IEP #intercityexpressprogramme keeping their GWR HSTs
