I feel like most people online are vets from previous Melty while the new players sit in the training mode intimidated and make the problem even worse :D
This is pretty normal. It might be helpful to change your goal from winning to other skills you need to improve, like "I will win neutral X times" or "I want to land this combo X times."
I am a new player as well, getting slaughtered online but, I am learning in the progress. A bit depressing but it's quite fun. Hope i can match with you someday.
New sub since MBTL dropped. It’s my first Melty Blood and it’s honestly pumped life back into fighting games for me. Your videos have been an excellent source of quality content. Can’t wait for more.
Thanks for the tips brother. You actually provide some real fucking food (content) for this game and not just clickbait garbage like most of PandaGaming's content for this. You deserve more views.
thanks bro glad your finding value out of my channels content, but its just different forms of content. I love the storytelling aspects of the fighting game team sponsored channels actually lol
I was just asking people earlier about hit stun decay and what factors in to how much a combo decays. I had no idea air dash hit took a chunk off. I haven't heard anybody mention that one before. Much appreciated!
Ok one thing that's probably worth to note I dunno if the tutorials say it or not but I just noticed it when labbing, 1st move of auto combo (the one before the launcher) severely increases combo scaling to the point when if you skip it and go straight into your 3C launcher you will actually do more damage if you do the exact same route from there. That being said don't disregard Rapid Beats just for that reason alone because a lot of the time the 1st auto combo hit for a lot of characters has a lot of forward momentum and/or range so it will actually pick up combos that would normally drop if you just went into 3C manually. Analyze the situation and make an educated decision of whether to Rapid Beat or 3C, it's better to Rapid Beat and just mash than drop the combo.
@@ManoloRibera070 Yes, but it doesn't carry over to the next round. If you end the match with Arc Drive, you will Nanaya Install in the beginning of the next round. Also, you don't need to land the Arc Drive for the install. You can whiff it or have it block and get the install.
another thing melty doesn't tell you, which is actually very crucial and one i found strange that wasn't mentioned in his command list, is that shiki's arc drive can be charged, which makes it unblockable(unless standing shield)
Can u maybe make a guide for optimal times to use heat and moon drive? Id imagine its also character dependent because i dont know when its a good time to activate moon drive for red arc unless i need to escape
Okay I knew something was fucked up about the hitstun decay when labbing combos, but air dashes? I don't understand why they did that. Why would air dashes of all things completely shaft the hitstun?
Presumably because its the easiest way to fish for a surprise hit? Maybe? Or alternatively you can think of it as getting a hitstun bonus for *not* doing a IAD jump-in?
@@joshy541 It's the easiest way to fish for a surprise hit in basically any game that has the ability to IAD but this is the first one to put any kind of extra scaling on for doing it.
Been labbing and there is something I don't understand. If I do a 2ABC, 5ABC Aerial BC Jump BC it does less damage than 2CC, 5CC Aerial CC Jump CC . Like, how am I getting more damage if I just auto with C or Auto with a BC mix than if I make use of all the buttons?
Hey Daiken, thanks for the vid , I didn't realize about the clash frames on moon drive , only the extra double jump. What character you thinking of maining? I'm running Arcueid.
did not know about the moon drive bit, i never really use it since going off the tutorial its only real use was to stop time and do mixups or continue combos.
The ones that werent in current code(SMP, shields giving back health, moon system(different in current code) were either i didnt know or didnt understsnd
Man I’ve been getting slaughtered online. I haven’t won a single match but it’s incredibly addictive. I just have to keep practicing.

@@baltharaaz9847 that’s a good way to look at it. I’ve lowkey been doing that without realizing it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

9% winrate :(
I feel that having your inputs showing in training mode for some examples is helpful for viewers to understand the timing at which you do each action.
I’ll keep that in mind for next video, thanks for the suggestion
Im glad I’m not the only one getting my ass violated on online matches

Same. I have like 3 fighting games I play but didn't have motivation until I played this game
Lots of good tips here. The technical stuff like airdash vs normal jump-in combo starters was something I wouldn't have figured out. Thanks, Daiken!
Keep these vids up man. This is my first melty game and your videos have been helping a lot.
Thanks for the tips brother.

Very informative, for me, who picked up the game recently. Great video
daiken and LK gonna be carrying me through melty
Keep up the post man. I really appreciate all these tips it’s been helping understanding the game a lot more.
Appreciate it Reo! I got a lot more planned for basic understanding so I hope you find the content useful!
You can add in that Shiki can start in Nanaya Install/Mode if you end the match with the Arc Drive. There are few tweets about it.
Dont have to end the match. From what ive understood is you just have to use the arc. Thats it after that you can use the overhead cross up

Already covered in the characters video

Is that what the tutorial says? No.. it’s the best universal reversal option in the game. It’s really good on wake up!
This a great video tho keep it up my boy
I'm not used to having buttons for dash and jumps which is a severe challenge. Do most Melty Blood players use pad? Or stick?
What is end of video song i feel like i have heard it before somewhere
Very helpful!
I'm still trying to figure out how to unlock the art gallery
When we gonna run the set bro 💯
We can play coming soon! Either just catch me during a stream or hit me up on my Twitter in the description.
A lot of these i already knew cause i played current code except for airdash lowering hitstun
The ones that werent in current code(SMP, shields giving back health, moon system(different in current code) were either i didnt know or didnt understsnd
Airdashes didnt decrease hitstun
Yo Daiken, the twitter link doesn't work. I tried to follow and it says the page doesn't exist.
Its not? Ill update my links in a bit sorry for the issues, but here you go: twitter.com/DaikenXDan
How did you taunt in the beginning?
idle stance
I find doing super jump on a dpad very intimidating
Smp decreases hitstun as well
You need a great neutral for this game and defense
Most safest is a double redundancy, safest is already the most safe.
Ok but like who cares? 😔
@@LeemVonNelly lol
Double redundancy is redudant, redundant already implies that two things means the same.
I’ve never gotten a free English lesson before 😅
The first tip should just be to turn off auto combo 😭
This game is hard
