    Jeff, been following your channel for some time, never commented. Point being, you have got to be one of the absolute best teachers on RUclips. I don't say that lightly. I hope your channel grows well over 100k this year, you deserve the following.

      Thank you Paul. A high compliment that I greatly appreciate. I’d like 100k as well! Keep chugging along, but more importantly I appreciate hearing from people like yourself who are getting something out of the videos. Thank you!

      I agree.. found him from 5 watt world way back and then bought his courses on True Fire and now follow him here and his main website on teachable and get his stuff and been playing for over 2 1/2 decades and with the world of RUclips and this and that …he is an AMAZING teacher! He has opened many doors for me unlike others just always wanting to learn more. He deserves well over 100k 🤘🎸🤘

      @@JeffMcErlain I have only commented on your channel once before because of finding you through Keith from 5 watt world & then buying your courses on True Fire & through your website & have to agree even with my 2 1/2 decades of playing guitar you are an amazing teacher and have opened many doors for me as a guitarist and can’t thank you enough and buy what I can when I can to help support you and your channel and share.. I hope you reach over 100k and thank you for all your videos & passing down what you learn! Keep rocking Jeff🤘🎸🤘

    I took one of your courses that taught this on TrueFire. In all sincerity, it was a game changer. Just learning the pentatonic horizontally made me feel like I could flow up and down the fretboard. Thanks Jeff.

    Excellent "Deep Dive" into the five-tone scale, or pentatonic in Greek. (πεντα τόνικ).. In trying to memorize the intervals that spell the minor pentatonic (1 ♭3 4 5 ♭7), I tell myself "It's your old 1-4-5 turn around with a minor 3rd (♭3) and dominant 7th (♭7)." Thank you again!

    Very cool video lesson! So by saying 'flat 3' and 'flat 7' you're denoting the Minor intervals in the Minor pentatonic? It can get confusing for a novice☺

  • @canesd
    @canesd 3 месяца назад

    This is a strange "how exactly are you thinking about this" question.... but I'll ask anyway. Do you "see" patterns like root (A) -> minor third interval (C) -> two whole step jumps (D... E) -> then the flat7 (G) and whole step back to the root? Or are you thinking purely A, C, D, E, G, A? Or a combination of both? Doesn't really matter I suppose, but interested to understand how you visualize minor pentatonic on a single string.

    • @JeffMcErlain
      @JeffMcErlain  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey man, it is really a combo of everything. The shapes are easiest at first but then maybe notes. The thinking about it as intervals, eventually it all becomes one thing, and then eventually you don't think about any of them.
