Why do people drive drunk? I really haven't ever understood this way of thinking. I have been HAMMERED before but never did I grab my keys. I've left my car parked and gone back the next day to get it. Walked my happy behind home.
That guy who served time for murder and committed multiple DWI's is a perfect example of a broken system. He's a perfect example of someone who gets chance after chance until he commits a very serious crime and someone get injured or killed then everyone shrugs with their shoulders except for the victim.
Living in the Downunderlands, I find it fascinating that you guys work through the Christmas holidays. We virtually close down from Christmas Eve (or earlier) until after New Year's (or later). It's summertime here and folks need the beach.
31:30 While his license may be eligible now, it soon won't. He refused to provide a sample. From the Texas DIC-24: "If you refuse to give the specimen, that refusal may be admissible in a subsequent prosecution. Your license, permit, or privilege to operate a motor vehicle will be suspended or denied for not less than 180 days, whether or not you are subsequently prosecuted for this offense. If you refuse to submit to the taking of a specimen, the officer may apply for a warrant authorizing a specimen to be taken from you. " DPS will generally suspend a license for refusal for 12 months, and up to 18 months for subsequent refusals. Even more serious if the person is a CDL holder. In the end they still get a warrant for a blood specimen.
I like his strong stance on testing, especially with alcohol. It's the only thing I take that I feel it down to my feet. People who use heavy drugs use it to balance out. Glad I graduated HS and three years college. It's reality education is the way to a better life. You also have to sell yourself... create a brand. I worked in print and packaging for 30 years, and retired making $48/hour. I worked in seven different shops, including a stint in the Caribbean (the dollar was worth $1.70 CDN, tax free) My best education was from my dad: the best time to look for a job is when you have one. If you aren't employed, you need to spend eight hours a day looking. From highschool, "Listening doesn't involve what you are going to say next" I cannot sell this hard enough. I learned it at 18 and at 56, it's part of my daily interactions. It really works. Active Listening has helped with domestic issues that will keep PIGS from your door.

How about these defence attorneys be held responsible for their guys, They're swearing that their man is all good and won't commit any crimes then they should be held accountable for their clients actions. I bet you they would soon change their tune.
