Think of running a business and the overheads of renting an office etc. As a youtuber these are pure overheads. The cars bring back the cash.
Yeah, and I'm pretty sure that depreciation is considered a tax write off to a certain extent and so is the 'interest' on a loan. So for a business youtuber, or anyone making money from financing a car, it makes sense to do interest only. It's dumb though, because If you buy an Aventador S for £200K with a £50K downpayment, its £750 per month interest only, which paul says is a great deal, but you could use that £50K as a downpayment on a £250K house, which interest only would be ~£200/month, but you could probably rent out for around £1-1.25K. So its £750 outgoing vs £1000 incoming each month and thats not even including capital growth of the property, which would probably also be around £1K in most up and coming areas. so £750 outgoing vs. £2K income. It only makes sense to do this, if you can make money from the car (e.g. youtube) or you are just daft as anything. (figures approximate, housing based at 6% rental yield and 6% capital growth). the light the truth you don’t need to worry if it depreciates below the GFV, as the finance company guarantees it will be worth at least the ballon. If it drops below they lose out
£50k deposit which you'd lose after the two years. 50000/ 24months on PCP = £2083pm. Then you add back on the monthly payments of £700. So not quite what you're claiming lol
Haks Hustle I’m sure it comes with a warranty. You wouldn’t want to keep it too long before the maintenance bills start to arrive. But it wouldn’t be a daily so the mileage wouldn’t be that much in a year for most buyers.
I love the nonchalant nod to the 50k deposit on interest only, over 2 years plus the monthly you’re looking at 70k spent and a risk of negative equity in the car at the end.. that’s 3k a month + running costs, but I guess you are in an Aventador S 🤷♂️ ha 👍
Victor ..I’m not sure PW skips costs, but you’re right it’s part of the business, if an Aventador S can bring 3k a month of additional RUclips revenue (or somewhere close) it’s a no brainer 👌
@@Horizon301. That's a hefty fee. You can leverage 50k for a £500k-1M house. You're absolutely right, it's quite a fee to pay in comparison but to be fair the vehicle is a luxury for a reason. Not everyone is supposed to be able to afford it.

Btw, don't forget to add insurance, petrol and maintenance to the monthly payments and the depreciation...as well as garaging/storage. Pretty sure you'll at least double the interest-only payments without taking depreciation into account. As for some cars not losing any money, maybe if you ignore all the monthly costs. As for others appreciating, IMO the market is very unlikely to go higher and is more likely headed for at least some downward correction...maybe even a crash.
The market in these cars has Collapsed I bet the last Owner of that car Ran away from it. And in what world would anybody Think that a £ 50.000 down payment is ok. That’s crazy talk!!!!!!
I noticed alot of people give this guy a hard time. Don't hate on the man aspire to be like him. Don't watch his channel it's simple, free choice. I found this channel to be quite knowledgeable.
Great video on the numbers, but remember running costs will also be a big factor. I did some running costs calcs when buying my Superleggera to factor in with the purchase price. I’ll do a vid soon on purchase vs running costs
So at the end of the term 150k down for a SVJ and hand the car back at the end.....soo you lose 150k over the term if you hand it back plus of course the monthly payments you have paid... is that right ?
so unless I misunderstood, 24 x £750 = £18,000 plus £50,000 deposit = £68k ownership cost (or £2,800 pm) unless the car's worth more than £145,000 when you hand it back (when you keep the difference). That's not cheap motoring, but I appreciate it's a spectacular car and will always cost plenty of money whatever....
The interest only loan is only good if you buy a used car that has done most it’s depreciation. Plus no one really keeps the car after the loan so they can pay the large balloon payment at the end of the term. For example, you buy an R8 that is 80,000. You put down 20,000 and pay 450 per month for 3 years. At the end of the term your ballon is 53,000. If the car is worth more let’s say 60,000 you will get to pay the ballon off and have 7k back from your deposit to put into a new car. All cars depreciate regardless. Just comes down to how much depreciation one person can deal with.
Zed Zone bro the ballon for interest only finance is basically the value the finance company believe the r8 to be after 3 years of use. I went to see one today and got my quote from magnitude finance. That’s what the finance company believe the r8 will be worth 53k in three years time with 30,000 miles
I’d rather save nearly 30k and have an LP700...£700 you could buy some serious appreciating classic cars rather than modern depreciating cars. Make your money work rather than throwing away £700 each month just to say you had an Aventador. I’d rather own something of real value.
@@nathanrunciman88 Quite! I'm not sure who this video is really aimed at. Good content and informative Paul. It hits home to folk like us the real life cost of owning something like that. In reality it's so far from most people's reach, but still interesting to know how much you'd be paying.
So basically if you have to finance a Lamborghini you can’t afford it. You should be able to buy something twice without it hurting you financially. That’s how you know if you can afford it.
Lol, “you can own an aventador s for £740 per month” - within 20 seconds he forgot the £50k deposit 😂 these finance companies must love these bozos. The actual cost is £2,820 per month 🙈🤦♂️
You need to look at Tony’s Performante to judge depreciation...he lost £100k! Who can afford that loss? I don’t care how much money you think you have.
4:20 you say "give the car back and have owned it for 700ish quid for 2 years" You're forgetting the 50k deposit (which you don't get back) + 17k in monthly payments on something you don't even bloody own 👋 this is an ad for the finance company right?
DUKE BLADE yes but no disrespect intended. When you don’t have much money that seems outrageous. I’m going to spend about 35k in 3 years on PCP for my new Porsche, then I’m going to hand it back. All for nothing. But I don’t really care because I’m going to earn that much money after tax this month alone. Why don’t I just buy it for cash you say? Well why would I? I’d still lose 33k over 3 years with depreciation....

Vw are considering selling off lambo as there future is based on the new id3 and electric vehicles. Characteristics of a lambo is big cc loud noise and with the new regulations it will be hard to meet the emissions and vw are reluctant to invest in lambo. Aventador replacement has been delayed while they decide too. Some Lambos are taking years to sell just check autotrader. And most important of all these cars get damaged easily and owners carry out cheap repairs before they flog it.

£600 or £700 a month kinda doesn’t seem like a lot to own a modern Lamborghini, but it’s still a heck of a lot of money to piss away. Better off saving/investing that and then being able to put down a larger deposit and not going for an interest only deal later in life
Mate, It's not "pissing" away money, you still are paying to drive an Aventador for 24 months, if you can't afford to spend that then don't, it's the same as saying, somebody that makes 1k per month is comfortable with wasting 10 pounds on sweets, if you make 50k per month, ratio wise, its the same as spending 500 pound per month on a car.
You talk about the £745 per month interest only deal as if that's what it's going to cost BUT what about the £50,000.00 deposit required. I'd like to know the total costings after say 24months of driving to asses the actual cost? 24x £745 = £17,880.00 plus circa £40,000.00 loss from depreciation. Total costs for 24months ownership excluding insurance & runnings costs = £57,880.00 divide this by 24 to give you a monthy cost/loss of £2,411.66 or £79.29 per day for 730 consecutive days. Not so cheap is it?
Reminds me of 2007 when I bought a brand new 430 Spider, £154000, £54,000 deposit with approx £750 a month interest only. Market crashed 2008 when I sold car after a year with 1800 miles for £104000! Total lost £60,000 plus in a year! Plus I’m a car dealer👍👍

But let's be honest how many watching are in a position to buy at this level.... don't think his misinformation is doing any real harm
Still 90 a day to rent essentially which isn’t bad. You’d most likely have equity with a deposit that size. So not all money lost. Keep for a year.
+ maintenance which will most likely bring it up to £3k+ a month
Haks Hustle I’m sure it comes with a warranty. You wouldn’t want to keep it too long before the maintenance bills start to arrive. But it wouldn’t be a daily so the mileage wouldn’t be that much in a year for most buyers.
I love the nonchalant nod to the 50k deposit on interest only, over 2 years plus the monthly you’re looking at 70k spent and a risk of negative equity in the car at the end.. that’s 3k a month + running costs, but I guess you are in an Aventador S 🤷♂️ ha 👍
Yeah in the real life it's like that but he buys it as a business car and skips a lot of costs.
Yep doesnt factor in the bigger picture
Victor ..I’m not sure PW skips costs, but you’re right it’s part of the business, if an Aventador S can bring 3k a month of additional RUclips revenue (or somewhere close) it’s a no brainer 👌
Thanks for saving me having to watch the whole fucking video. Much appreciated. He makes £198,000 sound like the price of a packet of crisps.
Isnt that a lease if his giving it back?
Clearly Paul has no understanding whatsoever how finance works and what the risks are.
Just 50k deposit lol
caneytt 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s light considering the car
TONE IV 😂😂😂😂 good bants
TONE IV is it? Ever considered how much a deposit for a house costs in comparison. It’s a steep deposit
@@Horizon301. That's a hefty fee. You can leverage 50k for a £500k-1M house. You're absolutely right, it's quite a fee to pay in comparison but to be fair the vehicle is a luxury for a reason. Not everyone is supposed to be able to afford it.
So around 70k plus maintenance costs over the two years for something that I won't own???sign me up!!!!!😂🤣
dave dave Lamborghini have good reliability if you keep it in good condition like this one at most he will pay for new tires
If 50k isn’t that hard to find, can someone send me 50k please
Me too lol.
🤣 Paul still acting like he means something in the RUclips scene...lmfao.
HELLO I AM TÜRKİSH you a question, I'll SOR by SEE THE PRICES OF THESE CARS YOUR COUNTRY I CAME TO VERY CHEAP TO ME IN MY COUNTRY THESE INSTRUMENTS Show 5 MILLION HEADING I was wondering was YOU THIS VEHICLE BUY wanted you FEW YEARS CAN GET
SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH I HAVE AN ALSO FROM GOOGLED
Are millionaires watching this channel or normal guys like me !! Just 50k down , JUST ffs
No Paul is a tool
Btw, don't forget to add insurance, petrol and maintenance to the monthly payments and the depreciation...as well as garaging/storage. Pretty sure you'll at least double the interest-only payments without taking depreciation into account. As for some cars not losing any money, maybe if you ignore all the monthly costs. As for others appreciating, IMO the market is very unlikely to go higher and is more likely headed for at least some downward correction...maybe even a crash.
This is a proper dealership , bit harsh on the last guy
The market in these cars has Collapsed I bet the last Owner of that car Ran away from it. And in what world would anybody
Think that a £ 50.000 down payment is ok. That’s crazy talk!!!!!!
The real question should be "should I be spending £150k+ on a used car or putting the cash into property"
If you can afford it why not
I noticed alot of people give this guy a hard time. Don't hate on the man aspire to be like him. Don't watch his channel it's simple, free choice. I found this channel to be quite knowledgeable.
Saw this guy at mcdonalds didnt look happy lol
Who do you mean ?
Probably waiting for a quote from magnitude to help buy his maccies
Wayne1 this guy comes off as shysty fake!
Probably because behind the happy looking video content his probably losing lots of money in his life
james hughes 😂
Paul just says anything his sponsors want these days.
He doesn’t own any of these cars, nor do his fellow you tubers
Shmee does and so do some of the American RUclipsrs, Stradman, VV etc. This guy is a clown and is misinforming people regarding the "finance" options.
@@Alps6408 No they don't, they finance most of them.
@@Alps6408 Schmee's was fabulously wealthy (family money) before RUclips
I know Tj Hunt "American tuber" has just had his days ago and that was $215.000 and that was fully paid for....
and wtf do you own lol
get a perf for driving or the s for show
Great video on the numbers, but remember running costs will also be a big factor. I did some running costs calcs when buying my Superleggera to factor in with the purchase price. I’ll do a vid soon on purchase vs running costs
E.g Suspension bush with the arm could cost 3k, so don’t spend all spare money on the finance payment and not leave enough for the running.
£745 per month is more than my mortgage payment LOL
Yeah 700 pm + 50k deposit with nothing to show for at the end, what a great deal!
It’s actually cost 2700£ a month as u need to put down 50k
So at the end of the term 150k down for a SVJ and hand the car back at the end.....soo you lose 150k over the term if you hand it back plus of course the monthly payments you have paid... is that right ?
Financing these cars is just a fools game, either buy them out right or set up a line of credit against property.
What about that 720s. Incredible performance for the money
so unless I misunderstood, 24 x £750 = £18,000 plus £50,000 deposit = £68k ownership cost (or £2,800 pm) unless the car's worth more than £145,000 when you hand it back (when you keep the difference).
Wait why is the balloon 53k? Would it not be 43800 (450x36 months)? This is where balloon payments always confuse me.
Zed Zone bro the ballon for interest only finance is basically the value the finance company believe the r8 to be after 3 years of use. I went to see one today and got my quote from magnitude finance. That’s what the finance company believe the r8 will be worth 53k in three years time with 30,000 miles
@@bsm3964 I got it.. Nice one bro. Hope you get a deal your looking for.
I’d rather save nearly 30k and have an LP700...£700 you could buy some serious appreciating classic cars rather than modern depreciating cars. Make your money work rather than throwing away £700 each month just to say you had an Aventador. I’d rather own something of real value.
So, has anyone else been tempted to sell their Fiesta and get a Lambo on finance? For ordinary working people that's a ballsy move!
I don’t think “Ordinary” people have £50k sitting at their disposal.
@@nathanrunciman88 Quite! I'm not sure who this video is really aimed at. I very much doubt that anyone seriously considering buying a used Lambo is going to be watching this video before making the final decision. If you are a person that is willing to make the plunge and spend over £150k on a car that you'll already know all about finance?
LOL!
You’d be a complete prat!
Imagine the money you could make with that doing properly deals or investments 🤪
These guys are sharp 😂
25k is a huge amount of money! 12.5k is a huge amount of money! 6.250 is a huge amount of money!
Don’t do it!
Looking for an m3 and for the price and spec I’m looking at around 600+ a month magnitude are coming in at a little over 500 hands down the best quotes I’ve had
£50'000 deposit
Iam looking under the sofa as I type this😂
Any luck?
Peace From London. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@mickyeverton
☹️ No luck yet,but I have found were the chuffing dog hides her treats.
Good luck with that?
Lol, “you can own an aventador s for £740 per month” - within 20 seconds he forgot the £50k deposit 😂 these finance companies must love these bozos. The actual cost is £2,820 per month 🙈🤦♂️
Luke H he’s an idiot lol
If I bought a Lambo that vehicle would never be sitting I would drive that thing 24 hours a day
One day my friend, one day..
Never quite of your dreams..

You wouldn’t once you realise that every mile you put on it is costing you a lot of money.
Sadly, the looks are everything. Lambo's are horrible to drive.
@@churkov bruhh the performante is the best drive in the world! Its not horrible at all lol
Sounds great, why do you think these youtubers don't drive them all the time? And why do you think the guys with Lambo's have 'daily drivers' too?
You need to look at Tony’s Performante to judge depreciation...he lost £100k! Who can afford that loss? I don’t care how much money you think you have.
Jonathan Gould he lost 100k?
look at the car guys Fezza - £70k loss in a year...
Liam Malbon yes watch the video. Tony says it’s cost him 100k in depreciation.
4:20 you say "give the car back and have owned it for 700ish quid for 2 years"
You're forgetting the 50k deposit (which you don't get back) + 17k in monthly payments on something you don't even bloody own 👋 this is an ad for the finance company right?
DUKE BLADE yes but no disrespect intended. When you don’t have much money that seems outrageous. I’m going to spend about 35k in 3 years on PCP for my new Porsche, then I’m going to hand it back. All for nothing. But I don’t really care because I’m going to earn that much money after tax this month alone.
Why don’t I just buy it for cash you say? Well why would I? I’d still lose 33k over 3 years with depreciation....
@@kindsir1256 it's about being genuine, or at least giving off a genuine message. This video is clearly sponsored (or at least his channel) is sponsored by that finance company, making people think that it's easy/simple/good to buy a car on that finance pacakge.
For a lot of people it could be a terrible choice as they don't understand the true cost.
Buying anything on PCP is a terrible financial idea, more so imo as you can't mod much/drive the car as much as you want due to milage restrictions or track it incase you crash.
I buy all my luxury shit used where depreciation is less harsh, as I can actually enjoy them. I'm also not poor but that's what I prefer.

What happened to your Murcielago?
Just checked Autotrader £60k now get you a lightly used AMG GT now that’s value!
Now that's tempting
Been in the Chelmsford one many times, love the bentleys they get in too! I got my Vauxhall Corsa from there too so that’s the only reason I go in there lol. Great video!
Porsche centre East London is a huge modern dealership near city airport that never gets a mention?
Loving my Huracan Performante, think you need to go for one..best driver’s car you can feed down your favourite road😎
This is what RUclips money makes one think £200k is not expensive.
Screw the Mclaren, get that Aventador S.
This video is a joke, comparing the Huracan and Aventador monthly costs without any reference to the 30k deposit difference or the fact the Aventador was interest only is just irresponsible. The car market is in free fall, and this sort of sensationalist BS is just fueling the fire.
Don't sign up for interest-only on a depreciating asset.
These will not depreciate
@@xtrmonkey9421 it will do if you crash it
They absolutely will depreciate, go look at used prices and compare them to their list price (with options).
@@Th3OmegaPoint they all depreciate. All cars do. But if you for example held on that to that performante for 20 yearsit will be a collector's item when there are no more gas powered naturally aspirated engines
@@robertlulek1634 I know what your saying but nobody knows how the market will be in 20 years, for all we know the goverment could put a massive tax on IC engine cars and destroy the value. Besides, by that point your interest-only finance will have ended and you would have had to find that big balloon payment on a car worth a less than you paid for it.
the Americas lease deals vary and are subject to vicarious closed ends balloons and mileage penalties. that calculator sits well for a newer S for you. We tend to favour first is and shop the colour first to avoid after purchase alterations if you have any small print limits to your options as a lessee.
you're wrong, Lamborghini Sevenoaks has just moved to next to Aston Martin Sevenoaks part of the Lancaster group.
Has your Murci been already re-painted, Paul? Update, please!;)
£600 or £700 a month kinda doesn’t seem like a lot to own a modern Lamborghini, but it’s still a heck of a lot of money to piss away. Better off saving/investing that and then being able to put down a larger deposit and not going for an interest only deal later in life
50k down and 700 a month 5yrswould easily get someone into an M4 DTM/SVR/DB11/NewVantage/911GT3/ContiGT/FF/570GT and he'd own it at the end lool
Reece Dabeast if he does it and makes great content to make some profit then fair enough but, this is Paul were chatting about
@@azaboy2 Lmao, true
You talk about the £745 per month interest only deal as if that's what it's going to cost BUT what about the £50,000.00 deposit required.
I'd like to know the total costings after say 24months of driving to asses the actual cost?
24x £745 = £17,880.00 plus circa £40,000.00 loss from depreciation.
Total costs for 24months ownership excluding insurance & runnings costs = £57,880.00
divide this by 24 to give you a monthy cost/loss of £2,411.66 or £79.29 per day for 730 consecutive days.
Not so cheap is it?
Interest only for say 2 years, has cost you almost 70k just to drive it for 2 years, and that's without Insurance, Service, Tyres and Fuel!
v12 Aston is needed in someones channel look they are lending you a Vantage long term give them some love and buy one

Interesting, never thought about the Gallardo Performante before. Have you driven it before? Is it good?
no mileage nor term length???
Except for leases, in the US, all finance terms result in the car being paid off at the end. These UK finance schemes can be a real trap if you go in unawares.
Don't treat this video as gospel. It is much harder to obtain finance than it first appears. If you don't have the right profile and/or background checks they wont lend. Most of the guys in the comments are single, living at home with mum and dad types?
Finance everything. Never buy outright. Get that juicy cash flow going.
Yeah finance is cool, until you crash it, it gets totaled, and you end up still having to pay for years after... Even though you dont have it anymore
So is pcp the best way to go, do you lose the deposit, or do you gain it back on the end of lease
Oh my god, you really need to do some research!
