I absolutely adore NEXT COLOR PLANET from a composition standpoint. Just look at the song structure and its use of the leitmotif, SO SICK.
1. Dat beat drop on the first beat in the intro, a simple quarter beat syncopation sets the playful mood of the song.
2. First leitmotif is played from the trumpet section.
3. Verse-Prechorus-Chorus very cool.
4. Second leitmotif is modded by a climbing from underwater effect.
5. Verse-Prechorus very cool.
6. The substitution of a second chorus for the breakdown/climbing bridge section, very nice.
7. Solos! First, another beat drop. Then space for 4 instruments before jumping into the last chorus.
8. Third leitmotif, Suisei gets the crowd into a chant-along.
9. Final leitmotif, she goes into a crazy vocal counter-melody solo.
She pushed and pushed for her vision to the team at Arte Refract, and it pays off tremendously.
