One of the most satisfying things I've ever made ! I know it sounds silly but when you finally get all four tones working it's great. my nephew is gonna love this too, thanks a lot Steve, this was great boredom BUSTER !!!

    Dear Steve,
Thanks for this awesome video. I saw someone use this today as a classroom management tool. They are not easy to come by where I live, but with your tutorial, I used my hand tools and had one made up this afternoon. Such fun! Thank you for the plans and the detail you put into your video. Cheers

Hi Steve! I just made this for my 4 year old son! He loved it. I took 4 hours though, but he stayed with me the whole time, super keen to hear the chuuu-chuuu!!! Thank you so much for uploading this video, and better yet, making available the PDF file.
Cheers from Groote Eylandt - Australia.

Thanks, Steve! Following your instructions, I made a Train whistle and a simple thumb-sized whistle for my grandson from scrap wood in my garage, and they both work great 👍. I'll be checking out your other postings.

This has to be one of the most fun projects I've watched in a long time. Thanks, Steve.
... but it seems a bit dangerous. What if a youngster blows the whistle causing someone to jump in an effort to get away from the train, hits the counter, knocks off a slice of bread which lands on the floor, peanut butter side down. If the person cleaning up the stuck bread is allergic to peanuts, they could easily break out in hives.

WOW! that´s rely fun whistle! Can I make one really loud, like with compressed air? I´m participaiting in a Carneval parade whit a DIY steam lokomotive. Should i go for a larger pice of wood with longer and over sized holes to get a real deep sound or the same 2x2 with larger holes?

Hello Steve, I know this might be a bit more manual than your usual doings, but have you thought about making (or already made) videos on carving? I'm talking bigger carving projects, like masks and figurines and such. (I know, it's most likely not in your "jurisdiction", but I've not been able to find any good carving projects online).

Thanks.
