Amazing video A month ago, my partnership of five years came to an end. The choice to break up with the person I love is something that really gets to me. Even though it's all for nothing, l've done everything I can to get him back, and I couldn't imagine my existence without him. I've tried everything to stop thinking about him, but I still can't help but miss him and think about him often. I don't know why l am saying this here.

Yup. I found out my wife was dating a guy from work behind my back earlier this year. He's 23 she is 57. She moved out in June. I just got divorce papers. My best friend for 38 years. Married for 34 years. Its very hard.
What can you do? It’s over. Your spouse/partner loves the other person - not you.
You’re left holding the shambles of what use to be and no longer exist.

MH is a great program and the solo workshop was very informative. Unfortunately my marriage was not saved. However, I am convinced that if I had found MH sooner that I could have implemented their techniques, that I could have saved my marriage. I had just done too many incorrect things that really hampered my situation.
I'm sorry I disagree with this. I was going through this a year ago. I found out my wife was having an emotional affair. After about 9 months of counseling and trying to 'work things out', I found out she started to talk to the guy again, and I filed for divorce. I don't regret trying to work it out because that made the decision for divorce easier, and we had 3 kids. If they're in love with someone else, let them go. It will never be the same, and chances are they won't fall in love with you again. Talk to a lawyer, kick the cheating partner out, and work on being your best self. Just advice from someone who's been there. It's a dark time, but there is light after the storm.

Three years later we're still together, yes it's not the same but I wouldn't want it to be the same because there were a lot of unspoken issues by both of us back then. We communicate much better now and while some days are more a challenge then others (dealing with triggering events) I can honestly say they are becoming less and less frequent. Everyone responds different and some of the things Dr. Beam suggest are definitely a hard ask and aren't going to be received by everyone. Haven't went through the MH program however I have learned a lot looking at their videos that went a long way to helping us get to the point we're at now. Feelings can and do change sometimes for the worse but it can also be for the better. At this point I believe for us it's been for the better. Just advice from someone else that's been there but had a different outcome.

I really wish there was more awareness on the difference, from the Christian perspective. so many people throw around the word love and being in love when that’s not really a biblical perspective.
