Hey Clint,Sounds like it’s idling a little low. Should be able to use the WiFi tuner to view and adjust your idle. Spec is 1900-2100rpm @ 162 degrees ECT.
Great content and points. Bonus points for the Skydio, that is awesome! I would love to have one but where I ride in Australia, a lot of trees.. wonder it would do.
Great video. Would it be possible to see a full video on setting valve clearances. I am sure it is not rocket science but it costs a small fortune at the mechanics.
Hi Clint. I've been looking through your posts. Was just wondering what happened to the 05 kx 250 you n your brother restored 2yr ago. It'd be great to see the finished product & ride if you've got the footage. 👍
Hey Clint just finished watching the video of buying and building part 1 & 2 wondering where that bone yard is and the name of it you used in the intro of the video
So Clint....remember cerakoting the 02 yz125 namura piston? Just curious how that ended up? I'm sure the bike is long gone but is there any way to get an update on how it turned out?
I thought you were only supposed to check your valve clearances with a cold motor. You looked to have warmed it up to change the oil and check the valves unless I missed something.
People worry about checking their valves because without someone guiding you it's stressful and even the best video online isn't great especially for a guy that isn't experienced, nobody consider's that everyone is a beginner at one point
Just my two cents buts it’s either got to be a yzf or a kxf. I can personally say I’ve owned all 4 Japanese brands and had the worst luck with Suzuki and Honda
Preventative maintenance, like Clint outlines in this video, is VERY important to how reliable your bike is/becomes. Engine, suspension, wheel bearings etc. Keep them in good condition. Change oil/filter before it is really bad (Way cheaper to change oil and filters a lot than just one rebuild). Every so often pull the rear suspension, check bearings, re-grease etc. Same with wheels., axels, even sprockets and chain. De-grease (according to the chain's instructions if need be) and use the correct chain lube. my 2007 450F is still going very strong, as I do the above. I don't over do it like a race team each week, but so far I have only even had to get my forks serviced and shocks, as that is something I cant do at home. Engine is as good as day one. Never replaced wear bearings, or swingarm bearings etc. Of course gone through a lot of chain'/sprockets, but never had a problem/breakage of them. Replace break fluids, adjust sprocket cable etc.
Chad Reed is up there

@@devineunlimited6800 well dome congratulations buddy
I like the oil breakdown commentary. Very useful.
This video taught me that I probably need to stick with the simplicity, lower maintenance and lower cost of ownership of a 2 stroke.
If only that was true.😂
@@KoltFin it's true in my case.
God is good🙏🏍👍living in las vegas nothing picks me up better than a good desert or mountain ride. Hope u feel better soon.
I feel so much better about my last oil change😂
I got RM85parts free to lund mx
Amazing play ground wish had open places like that around me looks extremely fun.
Oil change is key on 4strokes, I always pay very close attention to my oil. Great video
Feel better soon

Hi Clint
Please could I ask you a question
What 250 four stroke do you think is the most reliable?
Thanks mate
Ben

can't go wrong with either Yamaha or Honda.. the newer the better, they got more reliable as they got beyond 2012
