thank you! haven't uploaded any new videos in a while...currently working on my doctorate but i will upload more as soon as I get this paper done?! lol if you have any questions let me know....
@@tar2studios The questions I have is the brand and size of screws you used for the frame pieces and for applying the skin. Also what size drill bit you used for predrilling the holes. It looks like you used two screws per joint on the framing. Nice job!
like ty so much. I am so sorry it was destroyed! I like your wing framing. See others do it weaker. How far out do the wings go? And can you discuss tie downs and how incorporated into the frame. I like how you built frame and then fit plywood to match. You and others have inspired me to build my own. But! But I dont want the height profile so will make a pop up. Up in warm down in cold so can be used either way. Any advise of framing the pop up?
I would go with aluminum tubing....lighter and stronger for the movement of the pop up. And I believe the wigs are 18” but not sure exactly. I measured the wheel wells to get the measurement.....it’s a commitment but you’ll be pleased once it’s done... God bless... thanks for watching....
I am from Guatemala and I am thinking of building a camper on a Toyota Hilux. your video isvery inspiring, congratulations. for the osb junctions what do you use?, is it some silicone.
It got heavier and heavier as you built it. So much wood. Did I hear correctly that it was destroyed? So sorry. It looked like you spent a lot of time building it. I liked the dollies you made for moving it around. It looks like you could have made it much lighter. Thanks for sharing your video.
Thanks for watching....yes, I went heavy because I had a certain look in my mind that I accomplished...normally I would have used thin plywood for all cabinets, etc....yes, it was wrecked but I rebuilt it and now it is back in the shop again after 2 blown tires and bent axel...such is life on the road, right? Thanks again....God Bless!
Very Cool! I been thinking of building one, but have been debating on how thick to make the cab over floor thickness.... is that 2x2 in the framing of the platform flooring? Also what thickness OSB did you use on platform top and bottom?
@@buildadventure404 Wow...that's a whole video discussion...lol....but I guess the big thing is decide truck camper or pull behind from the beginning and don't change it...also buy trailer first and built it on the trailer....more options, easier to build, etc....
i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the login password. I love any assistance you can give me
I get into detail on that during the lengthy videos....short story is it has to do with the L shaped plywood you place over the 2x2...if you look up old truck camper designs this is what you see....hope that helps...
this is way overbuilt, take an older camper apart and you won't believe how flimsy it is made. The skin in and out, plus the rigid insulation where the strength comes from. You'll need a Peterbuilt to haul this.
I like that you give God the Glory
Love your choice in music.❤
I am going to build me a camper this summer 🌞
สวย ดูดี ราคาไม่แพงมาก ใครๆก็ ทำได้
ชอบมากเลย 🤗
Excellent craftsmanship! Overkill on the framing. Wonder what it weighs. Might need to upgrade to an F250 instead of the F150.
Only weighs just under 7K...there's a video about the weight...
Great Video! I am amazed that you can find straight 2x2 lumber. I looked for a camper frame building video and found it here. I subbed!

@@tar2studios I'm from Minnesota also, the southwest part close to the SD border.
That's the cutest doggy :)

How much weight do you think the sleeping cabin part can hold?
my wife and I combined weight at one point was over 400 lbs....

Thanks. I used a combo of Liquid Nails, Spray Foam and yes, lots of silicone! God bless!
GREAT BUILD YOU WORKED SO HARD MOST OF THE WEIGHT MUST BE IN SWREWS? I THINK I WOOD USED A AIR NAILER? STILL LOOKS GREAT FROM SKEGNESS UK
Yes....lessons learned for the next one....
What was the over all weight?
I believe there is a video about the weight...but it's just under 7K lbs....
Weight: 46,000 lbs
NOPE...just under 7K

2x2 all framing except rafters and roof framing = 2x3 and I believe osb is 1/4"
@@tar2studios Thank you very much! Anything you would do different?

Completely off the wall. But
Is your dog a Poodle Boston Terrier mix ??
Pink Floyd's wall? maybe....but the Kipper is a Shitzu with a haircut...
Hello. I see you screwed and glued your ply on. Is this better than nail and glue? Cheers.
it's how I was raised by my father who swore by the power of screws....lol
Where is the support for the cab over coming from? Will it hold itself up with out the stands? Im seriously asking not picking at your work.

i guess weight is not a concern ? that sucker has to be heavy
I believe there is a video about the weight...but it's just under 7K lbs....
The only thing that I don't like is that you didn't leave yourself enough room for a "back porch" like other RUclips builds.
this is way overbuilt, take an older camper apart and you won't believe how flimsy it is made. The skin in and out, plus the rigid insulation where the strength comes from. You'll need a Peterbuilt to haul this.
Its really is not, ive seen people use 4x4s as their main building material.
thanks for your opinion....but it only weighs just under 7K lbs....there's a video for the weight...
Tried to watch. Can't take the music. If that's what ya call it.
Lol…bye Felicia
much more wood you wont get into it.
Turned out great. Thanks.
In fact traveling through LA toward FL and woke up from a great night of sleep....lol
