    Wow, crazy how a smaller feame size completely changes the look of this bike! With the low head tube the big bend between top and down tube is completely gone and it looks so much less than in the advertised photos

    Great video DC! I loved the shots of you rolling through downtown Vegas in the early morning!! I am old enough that every time I think of Cannondale what pops into my mind are the old thick-tubed aluminum Cannondale bikes that were mega-stiff!! Thus, every time I see a Cannondale I always think that it will be a harsh ride...obviously that is not true any longer!

    • @DiabeticCycling
      @DiabeticCycling  Год назад

      Batman!!!! The Evo shown in this episode doesn't ride harsh although it does indeed ride harsher than the Tarmac SL8 I am testing simutaneously.

      The episodes in the series will boil down to a conclusion where I pit them against each other and what my ultimate pick would be if I were to be forced to just choose one and one only.

    • @housepfhoopz

      with stem and bar u can size up relative easy compare to when a bike is too big

    • @DiabeticCycling
      @DiabeticCycling  Год назад +3

      Suppose enough folks have asked. I will put a quick episode together why I size down. Thanks!

    • @PaventiRealEstate
      @PaventiRealEstate 10 месяцев назад +1

      Careful with the ''sizing down''... I see SO many of these bikes being ridden with TONS of spacers under the stem it looks ridicules! Before buying, look at the ''reach'' and ''stack'' in the geometry... If you ''size down'' and then have to put a 12-13cm stem or loads of spacers, what's the point? Unless you are world tour pro who's gonna ''slam'' their stem as your living depends on being overly ''aero'', buy a bike that fits YOUR body type and gives you comfort and don't try to emulate the ''pros''... That's just my .02$ from 35 years of riding!

      I hear ya. My thing was for me to lay down some context leading to the punchline. You spent the time to tune in and me (little nobody) coming out straight up blabbing about how this sucks and that blows would come from zero credibility I thought. So I spent some time laying down the foundation for what's to come which then I went on and on. Fully aware of and is something I have an eye on for future episodes. Although next one is already ready to go and I'm equally chatty LOLOLOL. Thanks Daniel, I appreciate your time tuning in and dropping a line regardless. Take care.

    Sounds like your impressions line up with mine here: ruclips.net/video/xtwpeivnGKo/видео.html. Glad I’m not going crazy thinking the bike isn’t stiff enough side to side and wondering why no one else is talking about it!

      Hi, Utah Canyon! I beg for your forgiveness. For an item I review, I don't watch reviews by others just so that my thoughts aren't clouded by that of others. I will go watch what you say once I am done putting out everything for the hi-mod. That said, seeing your comment here, it seems you may have felt the same or similar feedback. It's odd for sure but I think I might have possibly found what may cause that sensation. More to follow... Thanks UCC!

    • @kyungi1
      @kyungi1 Год назад +1

      The lateral stiffness of this bike in all the higher up models greatly depends on the bars you use. The momo bars are flexy and you feel that on out of the saddle efforts for sure. Put a stiffer bar be it one piece or stem/bar and that feeling is gone. Test ride these bikes on a daily and that was my first take with the momo bar on the bike.

    • @DiabeticCycling
      @DiabeticCycling  Год назад +2

      @@kyungi1 If you see me in this video how I almost retract what I would say about "flex" I may have felt and how I might have found what created that mis-read somewhere in the video, I was eluding to the Momo bar. You are dead-on correct on this which I was holding out to say in a full review episode, spoiler alert! The Momo bar is as stiff as my ramen noodles I had last night...
