Wow, crazy how a smaller feame size completely changes the look of this bike! With the low head tube the big bend between top and down tube is completely gone and it looks so much less than in the advertised photos
Great video DC! I loved the shots of you rolling through downtown Vegas in the early morning!! I am old enough that every time I think of Cannondale what pops into my mind are the old thick-tubed aluminum Cannondale bikes that were mega-stiff!! Thus, every time I see a Cannondale I always think that it will be a harsh ride...obviously that is not true any longer!
The episodes in the series will boil down to a conclusion where I pit them against each other and what my ultimate pick would be if I were to be forced to just choose one and one only.
@@DiabeticCycling Awesome news, looking fwd to the episode - Thanks DC! I'm riding the prev R5 disc and have some of these frames in mind for my next bike, your vids been a massive help for my decision making process (i'm not in the rush too)👏
Careful with the ''sizing down''... I see SO many of these bikes being ridden with TONS of spacers under the stem it looks ridicules! Before buying, look at the ''reach'' and ''stack'' in the geometry... If you ''size down'' and then have to put a 12-13cm stem or loads of spacers, what's the point? Unless you are world tour pro who's gonna ''slam'' their stem as your living depends on being overly ''aero'', buy a bike that fits YOUR body type and gives you comfort and don't try to emulate the ''pros''... That's just my .02$ from 35 years of riding!
LOL well done! It is insane how much I just talk my god damn head off.... I can't help it!!!! Thank you for your time watching and leaving a position marker for folks. Thanks again and take care, BD!
Hi Johannes! A full review for Tarmac SL8 will go live this week, so the SuperSix Evo will follow right after either next week or the week after. Thanks!
I’m stuck between this and a soloist I have a giant propel but want a race bike with more comfort? Any feedback or thoughts? The review is great thanks
Thank you for your time. This was a hard episode to put out with details I wouldn't bore you with since my mind-numbing banter probably was enough to bore you... I hope to get a final review episode done soon. Thanks!
Well, it would depend... I really need some more time to solidify my findings. Thankfully, I think I've found what led me to think the way I did.... We shall see. Thanks Russ!
It took you 9:43 to start talking about your opinion. For that reason I am out. Saw few videos and all are the same. Talking talking talking and don’t saying anything.
I hear ya. My thing was for me to lay down some context leading to the punchline. You spent the time to tune in and me (little nobody) coming out straight up blabbing about how this sucks and that blows would come from zero credibility I thought. So I spent some time laying down the foundation for what's to come which then I went on and on. Fully aware of and is something I have an eye on for future episodes. Although next one is already ready to go and I'm equally chatty LOLOLOL. Thanks Daniel, I appreciate your time tuning in and dropping a line regardless. Take care.

My point it’s not only this video. It’s also few other I saw. I know must be hard to create content and I appreciate what you are sharing and your time. Sometimes must be hard. But bro. More clear messages. Also the opinion it’s very confusing. From what i personally understood you described a climbing bike but in different words. Maybe! I am still confused
Sounds like your impressions line up with mine here: ruclips.net/video/xtwpeivnGKo/видео.html. Glad I’m not going crazy thinking the bike isn’t stiff enough side to side and wondering why no one else is talking about it!
Hi, Utah Canyon! I beg for your forgiveness. For an item I review, I don't watch reviews by others just so that my thoughts aren't clouded by that of others. I will go watch what you say once I am done putting out everything for the hi-mod. That said, seeing your comment here, it seems you may have felt the same or similar feedback. It's odd for sure but I think I might have possibly found what may cause that sensation. More to follow... Thanks UCC!
The lateral stiffness of this bike in all the higher up models greatly depends on the bars you use. The momo bars are flexy and you feel that on out of the saddle efforts for sure. Put a stiffer bar be it one piece or stem/bar and that feeling is gone. Test ride these bikes on a daily and that was my first take with the momo bar on the bike.
@@kyungi1 If you see me in this video how I almost retract what I would say about "flex" I may have felt and how I might have found what created that mis-read somewhere in the video, I was eluding to the Momo bar. You are dead-on correct on this which I was holding out to say in a full review episode, spoiler alert! The Momo bar is as stiff as my ramen noodles I had last night...
Yes please to an episode about sizing down.
Same!
will do.
will do.
HeyDC, good to have you back. Keep up the great work. Ironman LJ
Thank you, LJ!
Honest review thanks for sharing, I currently ride a BMC slr01 and currently researching my next bike
Thank you for your kind words and good luck on your search!
Love your review DB. Always love an honest review. Keep up with the good work!
Thank you so much!
Been waiting for this
Thank you. Hopefully my endless banter doesn't numb ya... :) Take care and have a great ride~

Great Video!! Willing to see the full review and the Tarmac's review! I'm rigth now deciding to buy between one of these two.
Thanks for stopping by, Carlos!

Batman!!!! The Evo shown in this episode doesn't ride harsh although it does indeed ride harsher than the Tarmac SL8 I am testing simutaneously.
Love the honest review, keen to know your thoughts on - how does this SS EVO4 compares to your other bikes esp. the Soloist? Thanks in advance
The episodes in the series will boil down to a conclusion where I pit them against each other and what my ultimate pick would be if I were to be forced to just choose one and one only.

I am interested in why do you size down, i hear many people saying that is the way to go.
with stem and bar u can size up relative easy compare to when a bike is too big
Suppose enough folks have asked. I will put a quick episode together why I size down. Thanks!

@@DiabeticCycling LOL -- thank you for the video sir!! 😊

OK so do you prefer the green hm or the current one?
Can you do a comparison Dogma F & Lab 71?
Probably no since I don't own a Dogma F or a Lab71.
Took forever to get to the point. 8:24 is where his 1st impressions start.
Thanks for the video.. a quick question.. how long is your crank arm on this bike? 165mm?
170mm on all my bikes, sir. Thank you~~~~~^^
How is the SS Evo Hi Mod 2 compared with Lab 71 ??
Differs in the sticker.
Well said.
Tarmac or Hi-mod ? 😊 you rode both.
Contradictory but will wait for full review
Exactly.

Not sounding like a slam dunk?

How tall are you?
Hi there. 5'10" on paper but I buy bikes as if I were 5'8".

Vs Soloist!
I will talk about how it fares against some other bikes especially Soloist when I do a full righteous review episode. Thanks!

This video could have been 5 minutes long.
Why say in five words what you can say in a hundred and fifty. Too much windup. Jeez
