    Hi guys! This is an updated video tutorial for the Simply Daisy Bookmark. It goes a bit slower and provides more detail than the previous video. I hope that it helps clear up any confusion from the last video, but please let me know if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy making and using your bookmarks!🥰

    hiii do you have to weave in the ends? i dont have a yarn needle or is there a way to secure it without one?? great tutorial btw!!! i just started crocheting and this one was so fun to make :D

    • @ThisPixieCreates
      @ThisPixieCreates  9 месяцев назад

      Great question! Normally, I would say, yes, please weave in your ends, because they do tend to unravel if you don't. But I know it sucks having to go out an get something that you weren't planning on needing to finish a project. So here is what you can do (I hope it works and stays intact): make a knot at the end of both of your ends to secure them. You can try your best to weave each tail under a loop of a stitch to hold it in place, and then cut it. This is optional though, so you can just cut your tails after you make each knot. I hope this helps! ☺

    • @user-ls3bs8zd1g
      @user-ls3bs8zd1g 4 месяца назад

      It's best to have a tapestry needle (a blunt needle with a wider eye than a normal sewing needle) to weave in the ends, but I have seen people hide the end by using a smaller crochet hook to pull the end strands through the loops of the stitches to hide them instead of using a tapestry needle (basically the same as a yarn needle and used in cross stitch and even-weave embroidery as well). I hope that this helps!

    • @ThisPixieCreates

    I used a F hook with Patons Grace cotton yarn and did the 33 chains; the bookmark finished is 5.5” long. I want to make it about 7-8” before adding the tassel. I know you said that to change the length do a multiple of 2+5 but I don’t know what that means; can you explain please? Thank you! It’s really pretty!

    • @ThisPixieCreates
      @ThisPixieCreates  2 месяца назад +1

      Great question! The chain a multiple of 2 + 5 means that you'll keep chaining (2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2...+ 2) until you're happy with the length, and then add an extra 5 chains at the end. You can also look at it like, chain any even number until you're happy with the length, then chain an extra 5 chains at the end. You can try chaining 45, and that might get you close to the length that you'd like. 😊
