When people do not work and have a purpose their health deteriorates faster and this results in more health care costs.

The answer people have had over the ages to pensions and elderly healthcare was to keep having more children.
Simply having more and more children is not sustainable.
The future of pensions and healthcare must be technology based.
When food production and harvesting, renewable energy production automated and basic healthcare assistance provided by robots and automation (for mobility, reminding of appointments, drug orders and data easy to be transferred) and the patient taught to maintain health for as long as possible the costs can be minimized.
Without needing to work for food and accommodation people can focus on developing technology to get richer (to make the high added value products and specialist service provision that commands the highest value).

@@yungchuanchua Don't need full replacement, just the ones with fairly good genetics (ideally with high cognitive ability). It might even be desirable for great candidates to have far more children.

What is the retirement age in Singapore? I think one thing that will need to be amended is the retirement age, as pensions will be increasingly difficult to fund without increasing the retirement age.

people should die the last day they are healthy, not have to become a disease in their last years. I don't wan't to be old, I want to be healthy and then be dead.

GOD GAVE YOU LIFE, DO NOT THROW IT AWAY. BESIDES YEARS OF BAD LIFESTYLES AND BAD EATING HABITS OF YOUR OWN ARE YOUR OWN FAULT AND TO COMMIT A FORM OF SUBTLE AND INDIRECT SUICIDE IS A COWARD'S WAY OUT OF A PROBLEM OF THEIR OWN MAKING. IF YOU ARE HEALTHY THEN KEEP ON LIVING TO HELP THE YOUNGER GENERATION TO LEARN FROM YOU BY TEACHING THEM YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM. THERE ARE THOSE WHO ARE OLD AND SICKLY AND YET THEY KEEP ON FIGHTING TO KEEP ON LIVING ON IN ORDER TO HELP THE YOUNGER GENERATION TO BECOME EVEN MORE WISER AND SMARTER AND MORE INTELLIGENT.

Start funding anti-aging technologies. Aging is by far the biggest source of human death and suffering.

Absolutely not. We need fewer people on this planet.
