Nas has his own style. It isn't about metaphors, entendres, similes etc. Its about storytelling and vivid descriptions. When it comes to that, very few rappers are messing with Nas, and Wayne isn't one of them. Why should Nas switch up his style for anyone when he's one of the most influential MCs of all time? Lmao

Do you even understand how hip-hop was originated in the first place?
It's like a competitive sport,to be a better MC, Better DJ etc..
NAS is ofcourse a legend, but again this is a track, it's like a sport who is better at putting syllables together,at art of emceein.. That's our hip-hop.
At Emcceing NAS can't touch Wayne it's plain simple, doesn't mean disrespecting NAS or taking away any credits from him,his influence on game or anything of any sort.. He's one of the GOATS,both are.

Wayne is one of the GOATs for a lot of reasons. The ONLY big criticism I have with Wayne is... his bars are probably the nastiest; but most of the time his bars aren't cohesive with each other. So they stick out being independent instead of leading him somewhere in a song. It is probably because he free styles his songs and doesn't write them out. We will never know how he gets alpha to omega in a song haha.

@@dewaynerogers2583 Yes, awesome imagery throughout it. But I don’t really mean it like that. I’m talking about how Wayne’s back to back bars leading into punch lines are individually sick verses. But then you put them back to back (still both cool independently), but when you listen to them in the song they have no relative meaning to each other. I think that’s where most rappers just put a filler verse that’s still sorta on topic. But Wayne just decides to put two sick simile punch lines back to back with absolutely no meaning to each other. They just rhyme, sound good, and both were similes/ or double entendres.

I grew up in prime time Wayne. Mixtapes every year, featured on every poppin song, full albums every few years. I’ll admit he fell off for a second with stuff like prom queen and the over use of auto tune. But he’ll always be in my top 10. The real legends are the ones who don’t have to keep rapping but they do anyways because they love it. Em, Wayne, jay, nas. While rappers like Mel chill on the sidelines with his one hit song just hating on everyone.
