I think you made a mistake at 19:47, the "Maracanazo" was the final game between Brazil and Uruguay in 1950

Some corrections: 1. "El Maracanazo" was the match won by Uruguay in the "finals" against Brasil in 1950, and not the Brasil - Chile qualifiers match.
2. Argentina 6-0 Peru was more about cleaning up the government image due to the accusations of violating human rights (which was confirmed later on) rather than the Falkland Islands war (it was starting to be another issue, but at that time was more a banter between Argentina and England).
Another correction: Grahame Poll handed out 3 yellow cards yes, but the Croatian player did get sent off after the 3rd yellow card. Vizeh claimed that he received the 3 cards but did not get sent off, but he did.
27:16 Tbf to Graham Poll, one of the reasons why he got mixed up was because the game was between australia and croatia and the culprit simunic, despite representing croatia, was actually born and raised in australia, so poll heard his accent and then mistakenly wrote down the australian number 3 in his book and not croatia's number 3. Plus, he had already sent off 2 players during the game so he probably wasn't expecting another to give another. He did eventually give him a red after the third yellow card tho 😅😅

This "something" was actually Adidas being *too good* at making the ball round.

It produced so little drag becaude it was engineered (i think thats the correct word in english for such a precise product) so tidiously that it was super subceptible to the air flowing around it that many shots just turned out to be "half knuckleballs".

I remember when I was 9 years old I decided to support Germany because of my mums side of the family and I really like Thomas Müller at the time. The 7-1 victory over Brazil was the first football match I ever watched and the final against Argentina being the second. Such brilliant memories 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪

I remember coming off the training pitch when Brazil vs Germany started, and I was talking with some teammates about getting some food after. When we left one of the guys looked at his phone and said Germany are leading. When we arrived at the pizza place 15 minutes later, it was 4-0.

I made some additional informations regarding this video:
1.World Cup songs: You can also consider Ricky Martin's The Cup of Life (La Copa de la Vida) as one of the most important World Cup songs, though Waka Waka and Wavin' Flag are truly a football theme.
2.Argentina 6-0 Peru in 1978: That World Cup was literally fixed as a part of government cleanup process due to the accusations of violating human rights. It's not related to the future Falkland Wars, which ignited a football rivalry with England during the 1986 World Cup (the Hand of God for Diego Maradona).
3.El Quinto Partido curse: Mexicans said that it was more related to the infamous scandal during the 1989 U-20 World Cup, where 4 Mexican players participated in that tournament, despite being overaged. Dubbed as "the Cachirules", the Mexico national football team was banned from 1990 World Cup. In 2022 World Cup, Mexico suffered a group stage exit for the first time since 1978.
4.Zidane headbutt: In some sorts of karma, the Italy national football team suffered this setback after they won the 2006 World Cup. They failed to reach the knockout stages in both 2010 and 2014, before failing to even qualify for the 2018 and 2022. However, this abysmal show in World Cup didn't transpire to other tournaments, including where Italy won the Euro in 2020.
5.Maracanazo: The real Maracanazo is when Brazil lost 1-2 to Uruguay in 1950 World Cup Final at home soil, which was considered Brazil's most humiliating defeat before 1-7 in 2014.
6.France vs Ireland: To add more insults to France national football team, they were even embrolled by two infamous scandals during the disastrous World Cup: the Nicolas Anelka's clash with Raymond Domenech, which saw him sent home for the rest of the tournament, and Patrice Evra's controversial statement that almost resulted in the whole squad's large boycotts.
7.Russia: Russia was eventually banned for participating in 2022 World Cup, with the big doping scandal being out of reach following the invasion of Ukraine.

5:44 to add on to this, Miroslav Klose scored this game and broke Ronaldo’s record for top goal scorer in WC history, while Ronaldo was actually at the game doing commentary for Brazil. So not only did Klose get revenge on Brazil from the 2002 final, he contributed in one of Brazil’s worst loss in history at their own home, then went on to win it, while simultaneously breaking the record of the man that beat him in 02, ALL while that same man was watching from afar retired as you are still playing at the WC………………….Yea, Ronaldo definitely cried in his car after the match

I think maybe some things to add for the next part of the iceberg would be the World Cup 2030 host selection and the insanity that was the announcement from FIFA, the 2002 World Cup Torsten Frings handball in the Germany vs USA quarterfinals, Egypt missing the 1930 World Cup because a storm, Italy vs Chile at the 1962 World Cup.
One the host selection didn’t have much of a reaction from the English speaking side of the football community from RUclipsrs except on twitter and the Latin American side of the internet were furious at FIFA for doing this and robbing them of hosting the 100th anniversary of the World Cup in the same place where it began. Two, the handball by Torsten Frings is not really known about by casual fans of the United States or discussed at all by people besides the US football community but is well known by active supporters and fans of the USMNT because it came at a time where the USA was down by only 1 goal and it created a lot of what if questions of if the referee gave the red card and penalty and the USA was able to convert the penalty, which could have meant the USA being at the final instead of Germany had the USA been able to comeback and win. Three, the Egypt missing the first world cup is rather interesting as they would have been the only African team at the first World Cup and would have been the first to participate in it and yet they were unable to leave in time because of that storm. The brawl that took place between Chile and Italy I believe you did do in a previous iceberg but I find it interesting the brawl that was that game.
