EVENT: BimaLab Africa Mid-Point Check-in and Customer Immersion

The Africa Innovation for Resilience (AIR) conference kicked off with an executive brief followed by a Gender Workshop focusing on incorporating gender considerations into insurance design. Participants then heard market insights from FSD Uganda on financial inclusion initiatives in Kampala. A highlight of the day was the customer immersion visits, where groups explored different sectors: agricultural solutions in rural farming communities, health solutions in urban areas, and digital insurance distribution for small businesses. The day concluded with a Fireside Chat featuring regulators from Rwanda and Uganda discussing the impact of the Bimalab Africa program on the insurtech ecosystem.
