Hi , This stretch is owned by Ferryhill and District Angling Club and the opposite bank is owned by Bishop Auckland Angling Club. Both only have yearly subscription and no day ticket's on these stretches. Thanks Paul.
Hi I have just came across your channel and due to lockdown I have taken up an interest in fishing to try and get out of the house to exercise I'm new to fishing but I like the look of it if you please tell me me the proper way way to go about this and what I will need to be able to fish the rivers in my local area I would really appreciate it thank you so much
@@paulfinlay hi Paul thanks for your reply trout grayling perch I dont think I'd like pond fishing sitting and waiting I like the idea of walking the river and trying different spots totally new to it and dont know wear to start
@@redlee1126 Hi grayling and perch are in season, trout season runs 22nd March to 30th September. Grayling respond well to trotting maggots and red worms when river's are clear and on milder days will take fly. As for Perch I use small spinner's and lures and target this species in the summer months on the River swale and Tees some are in the River Wear but these are thin on the ground. As for trout I use spinning early in season then fly and spin when water coloured. All these method's involve a lot of walking covering as much water as possible. Plenty of videos on RUclips what will help you tackle and advise on fishing for these amazing fish. Good luck and tight lines. Paul
@@redlee1126 No problem pleased people are watching my videos hopefully this will encourage people to take up angling as I've seen a big reduction of younger people joining the sport this is a worrying trend. Have 41 year angling please hope you get the bug.
