This beautiful piece of motoring art is my favourite vehicle and i drove it for a former boss when I did. Some freelance big work and the only fault I had with her was that she was so comfortable you could fall asleep on a long trip but apart from that she was as my boss and I said often it was like driving a bed with wheels

2:36 With some skinny wheel spacers you can fit some '90-'93 500/600 SL factory rims on the 420 or 560SEL (I used the "65147" 15-slot style 16"x8" SL wheels to keep a nearly-stock appearance) It gives the car an awesome look/stance but still classy. Most people can't figure out why it looks better unless they notice the subtle difference in the wheel design/diameter/width. The car still rides great but corners much better.

Not long after buying my black '89 420 in Sarasota I rolled up to a 4-way stop and a car load of teenage girls started screaming and waving while hanging out their windows. I looked around to see what they were freaking out about. I finally realized they were nuts about the car as I crossed the intersection in front of them (while waving back, grinning and blushing)
It was confirmed "Buyer Remorse" was not going to be an issue!
