Like you said Bill, makes one certainly feel like Chairman of the board. Wow Bill you redline'd that 560 SEL like a rocket 🚀 I'm a HUGE fan of Bill and the entire team at Auto Haus of Naples Florida.
Dave Lennard in France a very good condition W126 560 SeL or SeC in few mileage (under 50K miles) can sell it 20 000€ (22K$)....same model with twice or more mileage but in good condition cost is maximum 12 K€ (13 500$)...... but another model of W126 in short whelebase dont exceed 5k€ (6K$) for a 500...and 3k€(3,5k$) for a 280 to 420...... .

I now own an E Class 3.2 CDI Estate which I bought in 2009 with only 62000 miles on the clock, now there's 145000 mies up, as things stand I ðont think I'll live long enough to put the miles up on this beautiful car, but hell, I'm going to enjoy every minute trying, thanks Mercedes-Benz...

I had buy my 600sel (w220 2001) a littl bit under 10 000€ (12 000$) in 2012 (100 000 miles )...nothing for a big engine.......its the price because people is silly and like cruise in horrible economics shit eaters cars ....its our chance for us( smarts guys)

Im teary eyed. Thinking of selling 'my baby' 1987 W124 E class. Gold, leather interior, 200 auto for a few hundred quid. She needs a new front middle exhaust. Still Has original 30 year old exhaust. And some other minor bits n bobs. I've Had her 12 years. Love her to death. Am I crazy to sell or crazy to cry ?

Rolls Royce was far better built than merc. I know very well but all you need to do is see how many rolls Royce are around and how many Mercs. I had one of these a class and it ended up being scrap. Good cars but not a patch on Rolls Royce.
Still a beautiful car today, nearly 30 years later. (And when you pop the hood, no huge plastic cover.)

I had a similar model. It was a tank. And very reliable. It had 300,000 when I sold it.
