    Nice job Lindsey. This one might take a few weeks to dry out enough to lay a road. Gravel at this point would just sink. Fingers crossed you get the job to put the road in. See you in the next one 👍

    I feel like an idiot, I was trying to clean the spot off my phone screen and realized it was mud on your window. Lol. I'm diggin the music at the 17:00 minute mark. I thought I was watching a Lindsey Eastwood movie.
    That road is going to be a booger to build I think. That is some soppy wet ground. Anywho, thanks for sharing and be safe.

  • @jimmytew9468

    That's a wet mess. The only thing that will help dry it out is some field tile. If you can get some field tile in before you put in the road it would help a lot. If not you're going to have to dig the road out and haul in some good clay then lay some fabric down before you put the stone down. But you got this. I've seen you put in a road from hell with smaller equipment. Be Safe Out There Buddy

    • @smithworx1091
      @smithworx1091  8 месяцев назад +1

      I was thinking field tile. I just don't know where I could daylight it out with how the property slopes. I doubt they hire me to do it. I told them it was gonna get expensive. But I also know it will be a waste if they don't do it correctly.

    • @jimmytew9468
      @jimmytew9468 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@smithworx1091 I was noticing that it looked pretty flat even the ditch beside the road was very shallow. But to do it right will not be cheap. You would have to raise the road up at least a foot and dig a drainage ditch on both sides. I wouldn't do it unless it was done correctly.

      Yo bro. I tried slicking it back down best I could. Still looked like a mess lol. I've been good. Just staying busy with the other stuff. I hate to hear that. I've been dealing with a pinched nerve for a month and it has wrecked me mentally. I hate for anybody to hurt like this

    • @lovejcdc
      @lovejcdc 8 месяцев назад +2

      I've been dealing with pinched nerves in about 4 different places in my back since 2014. I wish I could get my insurance to fix it but all they want to do is throw pills at me and send me away. It gets really hard to deal with.

    • @PurpleNovember
      @PurpleNovember 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@lovejcdc I’m sorry to hear that, It’s the worst.
      My hand was amputated about 14 years ago and it’s been nothing but surgeries and physical therapy for the past 4 years, before that the VA just wanted to do pain meds. My back is a bit of a mess too, our chiropractor does decompression and that has helped tremendously. Physically therapy took about a year to work through and figure out what stretches and exercises I need for my back. It’s been a nightmare of a journey I don’t wish on anyone. You’re absolutely right about it being hard to deal with. It sucks but you are your biggest advocate and sometimes your only advocate. I would have quit a long time ago if I didn’t have a family to take care of…. RUclipsrs to pester.

    • @PurpleNovember
      @PurpleNovember 8 месяцев назад

      @@smithworx1091 Do you have a good chiropractor you can go see? The longer it goes the worse it gets and the more permanent it can be.
      This is messed up but from what I’ve experienced(and gathered from others), the first ten years are the worst and usually after that it’s less difficult to deal with. What helped me the most mentally was saying something about it to someone I knew cared about me. Yeah it will seriously mess with your head, there’s still times that I have to tell my wife that this amount of pain isn’t safe for me.
