    Hagrid:
The author used to write while in the pub. She based Hagrid off of a big, scary looking biker who came in and talked with the barman about his garden. Be nice to big, scary looking guys. Chances are we have a rescue dog at home and a completely harmless special interest.

Welcome to The Wizarding World rabbit hole that is Harry Potter.
The best thing about the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, to me is that the chambers following the third-floor corridor containing Fluffy each play to the strengths of Harry, Ron and Hermione.
The Devil's Snare chamber caters to Hermione's knowledge of spells.
The room with the winged keys caters to Harry's skill with quidditch.
And the chess room caters to Ron's knowledge of how to play chess.
    Side notes:
The Sorting Hat chooses new students' houses based on their corresponding personality traits:
    Gryffindor-Bravery, helping others, and chivalry.
Hufflepuff-Hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play.
    Ravenclaw-Intelligence, knowledge, and wit.
    Slytherin-Ambition, cunning and resourcefulness.
Erised (The Mirror of Erised) is the word desire spelled backward.
Hedwig is a snowy owl. They have ruffled wing feathers to silence their flight so prey animals don't hear them coming. They also have natural camouflage due to their coloration, and they're the only birds who don't have bare feet due to their habitats, like the Arctic Tundra.
At the time of the deaths of Lily and James Potter at the hands of Voldemort, Harry was only 15 months old.

Funny thing about your remark of each challenge being for one of the trio is that devil snare was actually solved by ron in the books and hermoine solved the potions logic problem that was in the room aftee the chess match. It's probably just an old rule that has never been bothered to change but isn't really enforced. You see this in the real world as well with laws. One example would be that you're not allowed (I believe this was in britian) to put a postage stamp of the queen or king upside down. There's also a law in my country that says you're not allowed to hang the national flag except for on specific holidays (I particularly hate this law) but I think this is also not really enforced.

They also outright change his reaction to things for instance in one of the books his reaction to a character getting scolded was to defend them but in the movie equivalent it's to mock them.

That's actually why he stays at the Dursleys, because the sacrificial protection extends to her sister, Aunt Petunia as long as Harry was accepted into a blood relative's home, which is the Blood Connection aspect of that spell.

Muggles can see them going into the platform wall. This we know cuz at the end of the book they talk about how the praying hands stood in front of the gate and allowed only a couple people through at a time, that way the Muggles won't notice. The reason why they don't necessarily see them going into the wall, is because of basically snow blindness they're so focused on what they're trying to complete that their brain doesn't fully register what they saw and so they don't even notice it. Especially when it's only a couple at a time

You won't find out about this in the movies or in the books, the only way you would know is if you do a deep dive on Pottermore now known as The Wizarding World. Harry's great great great great grandfather, create a potion known as Skele-Gro. And then his grandfather created sleep easy hair potion and doubled the fortune of the Potter family. Which then was eventually passed down to Harry after his father and mother passed away.

"She seems like a witch" That was HER wish but genetic things don't work like that...
Pretty much the only place where wizards can't find you would be... SPACE !!!
Gryffindor : Brave and sometimes braggy and arrogant.
Slytherin: Cunning, ambitious, well connected, power hungry.
Hufflepuff: Living a good life like a Hobbit, loyal, hardworking.
Ravenclaw: Brainy, original and sometimes whimsical.
Take your pick. I don't know you well but my guess is either Slytherin or Ravenclaw. (today you are even wearing Ravenclaw colors, kinda) Also, are you really that smart or have you already watched those movies before and therefore are making a fool of us?
    Your favorite color doesn't matter.
Harry has the detective mindset, he just can't resist a good mystery.
Harry is just immune to Voldermort harming him because his mother sacrificed herself to save her son from Voldemort. Had Quirrel not housed Voldemort into his head, he would have survived, ironic.

Every time I take the house test, I get Slytherin! Now I adopt it. I went to a NY Yankee game with Harry Potter house caps last year. When I got to the front of the line all the caps were gryffindor. Except one woman was still handing out a Slytherin Cap. I reached over about ten people and snagged it. Then I realized "Wow, that was truly a Slytherin move to get it! LOL a true Slytherin at heart!!
