@@knusperkeks2748 lol get good bruh. ive been rocking a Greatsword with Barbaric Roar since before Margit with my colossus. also you're pretty stupid if you expect to be able to play the game with a single weapon.
Fun fact, if you equip the carian filigreed crest talisman, the ancient horn talisman that regens FP on kill, and hold the sword of Milos in your left hand, any one shot kills with the lightning weapon art fully refund the FP cost of the cast. Anything you don't kill with one hit will be incredibly weak and you can kill with melee for the refund. It's a neat little quirk that helps keep you in the field longer while exploring :) can always swap some back for dealing with bosses

After beating this game on a vagabond build I made I’ve been watching your guides! So far I’ve beaten the game with blazing Bushido and Chrystal mage, and now plan on using this build
I'd love to see a full faith build that takes advantage of the higher level faith incantations. I've seen builds that use the high level sorceries but not so much on the faith side. Love all your builds!
Unfortunately like Fex himself said in the Dragon Knight build, going full faith caster is underwhelming as the strongest faith spells are actually the dragon spells which if you're speccing into you're better off going full arcane instead. I hope FromSoft buffs the incants bc so many of them are flashy and cool but the dmg to fp ratio are horrible.
@@maxyoo5576 If anything this should apply for any weapon Dex Scaling or with high Base Damage, either of these two metrics fit. Together is even better as is the case with the Sword Spear.

May i say that : you’re the Elden Lord, I really enjoyed many builds as well as consuming my larval tears to try them 😂, thumbs up for you dear lord from the other half of the globe
Loving the class guides, I found I really like the beastial spells. U think you can do a hybrid faith/warrior build using beast spells? Would love to see ur take on it and how to scale well with the claw mark seal since it’s scaling is lower than other seals
Well, you'd be running a Str/Faith build obviously as that's how you get scaling for Claw Mark. First you must ask yourself whether you give a single crap about Arcane. If you only want 10 Arcane for Bloodflame Blade, start as Prophet. If you want more Arcane for dragon spells, go Hero. If you don't care about Arcane at all, go Vagabond. Bestial spells I think are more geared for lower Faith builds, at least to begin with. 22-27 Faith I think would be enough to cast most of what you want to cast and meet the requirements for most Faith weapons. 15-19 Dex should be enough for most weapons you'd be looking at (19 is for Sword of Milos). 20-26 Mind for enough FP to cast a few spells/ashes or an elite summon. Strength weapons are usually very heavy so you want more Endurance than usual, or wear lighter armour. 40 Vigor of course. Everything else goes into Strength until you hit 40-50, then boost Faith to a similar level.
As for weapons you have a lot of options. I'd probably aim to eventually dual wield Sword of Milos (FP on kill, bleed) with Blasphemous Blade (HP on kill, ash with HP on hit). There's also Great Stars greathammer with HP on hit and bleed, Envoy's Longhorn which can do insane damage on very large enemies with bubble shower, or Maliketh's Black Blade, or you could do the turtle and poke thing with a greatshield and Cleanrot Spear or Inquisitor's Girandole. Also note that these big heavy weapons and your boulder throwing spell do a lot of stagger damage, so you have more access to critical hits than usual. Not sure if that's enough to make those 'fp/hp on critical hit' talismans worth using, but something to think about.
This armor, bar none, is the sickest drip in the game, well goddamn done man! I absolutely love all the different janky and over the top armor sets in the game. But the second I saw this video I knew I had seen the best set. Simple and thematically SUPER tight. The deep blue on the surcoat is gorgeous and you really wanna lean into the templar RP with a banished knight or iron greatsword. Wild strikes exclusively to do the follow up strikes.
Good to know that I'm not the only one who has that "you may now challenge the area boss" message repeatedly flash on the screen during coop for the valiant gargoyles fight
Yesterday I asked about a flail/shield build and I think this set-up might be perfect for it, just swapping the weapons for the Nightrider's Flail. This is pretty much what I had in mind for that build already.
Every time I watch your build videos I have an identity crisis. I already swapped from a heavy Templar to battlemage build. Now I wanna be a lighting boi.
Might use this for when I get to coop with a friend. High faith so I'll be able to pop on a ton of support incantations as well. When I initially picked up the swordspear I didn't really like its combat animations so I just ignored it. But your explanation tells me I should give it another, better look. Good stuff.
This kind of seems like the closest alternative to the Erdtree Greatshield playstyle that got nerfed. I personally loved being able to sit back and spam the missle attack when I had range between me and the boss, and it seems like this spear does the same but with a small mana cost so I'm happy to be able go back to the playstyle I preferred.
Excellent video once again (Cas always makes amazing content so that’s not new!), but I would be really interested to see you put together a level 125 build, since the PvP meta seems to be leaning into that as the standard. Either way, I love the videos! Keep it up!
This is an excellent build. I had a very similar one. Except I don’t like the swordspear so much, so I use Flamberge, Zweihander or Lucerne (all Keen). And my stats at 150: Vigor 55 Mind 25 End 19 Str 19 (to 1 hand Zwei, but Str also gives some scaling and 20 is the first softcap) Dex 70 (so it’s 80, last softcap, with Dex knot tears) Int 9 Faith 25 Arc 7 Talismans: Edtrees Favor, Dragoncrest Greatshield (or any other defensive), Shard of Alexander, Lightning Scorpion
Absolutely love watching your build videos. Can you do a build for dualwielding scythes? Im rocking Halo and Winged scythe. Could be interesting to see your take on it.
So in this build it mentions going with the Keen affinity, however when i go to apply Thunderbolt to the Swordspear the only options I have are Standard and Lighting, am I doing something wrong, or missing a step here? EDIT: Through a bit more research I learned this comes from the Iron Whetblade that i missed, that can be found in Stormveil Castle behind an Imp Gate.
It's funny because I just cobbled together a build with this weapon and the flame ash of war from your twin blade video. I'm not that far along, so it's a transition build for me, but I think it's going to work for me.
Actually, the Thunderstorm ash of war doesn't seem to be dependent on total AR from your weapon for both base and DEX scaling. I tried it on a Lordsworn's Straight Sword and compared it to the Guardian Swordspear, both at +10, and the straight sword did about 310 damage, while the swordspear did 288. My straight sword is at 246, while the swordspear is at 341, and they're both Keen with my DEX at 35.
Heyas, am a little late but I watched it finally. This Build looks hella fun and gave me some good pointers. I started a new Char today, since the last two were kinda meh. Somehow I messed them up also dump stats. This gives me a few Ideas of how to play this new character. I always went for kinda str/fai builds in Dark Souls, because I just loved the aesthetics. But this makes me wanna try Dex/Faith. Im going to take some inspiration from this. Thanks for uploading and sharing
whenever I start messing with a new weapon, you make a build based around it. please stop, I don’t have enough time to make all of these builds! keep up the awesome work!
Bolt of Granssax is a good weapon for this kinda play style too. Made a similar build with that weapon as the focus because I liked the weapon art so much!
Idk if anyone pointed it out, but if you wanna forgo blocking, you could use the turtle shield and two hand the spear for additional stam regen, or the Icon shield for healing over time. If your leaning towards a heavier build, personally suggest the Visage Shield for an additional close range option when lightning just isn't enough to deter getting to close. Personally I wanna know if Vykes Dragonbolt would do ok, tho I know you'd need the item that extends effects durations to fully utilize it.
Some form of an assassin build would be nice. Doesn't have to be dagger based. But maybe with bows and the nagakiba possibly? With the Black Knife being the center.
I made a build from this and the lightning lancer but I used the tree sentinel armour, shield and the golden halberd but I think you could expand on it the stats I have for my tree sentinel build at lvl 123 is 47 vigor 51 strength 51 endurance 23 dexterity 14 mind 7 int 16 faith and 10 arcane the talismans I'm using are starscourge heirloom, ragagons scarseal and curved sword I find that curved sword works really well. I have never seen a tree sentinel build so I hope you see this and make one (your my fave RUclipsr) but I really think you could make this a cool build.
I'm running a dex-faith build myself. Currently I'm using the Halo Scythe, which has a weapon art with more damage per FP than any of my actual faith spells. Also using Night Rider Flail as backup weapon because some enemies are much weaker to Strike damage.
6:00 from the video I'd have to disagree slightly. it seems that if you can memorize the pattern the block counter can be pretty effective. I suppose that goes for any weapon but at least for the enemy you showed it works well enough. memorizing the enemy pattern seems to be a small price to pay to have a shield, high damage, and essentially a free hit on the enemy
The Halberd was my jam all through DS1 and 3. And maybe about halfway through Elden. They are powerful and you can level them up for really great damage. But, then I saw your build with the falling star beast jaw.... and I was getting my ass clapped . So, I tried your build and it’s so good and powerful, it’s almost unfair. But I might try this build with my new game because I love the halberds so much.
I had dismissed the swordspear because it didn't have the moveset I wanted at the time, but that dps is pretty fucking ridiculous, i gotta give it a try one day
Simply by chance Sworspear and Thunderbolt are paired here, and not because Swordspear in D3 had Thunderbolt baked into it. DiCaprio/Rick Dalton is pointing and Nameles King is proud. My only point of concern with the otherwise super cool build is the two talismans that increase incoming damage - after two full playthroughs and playing now in PvP I would HIGHLY recommend to not use even one such talisman after level 70-ish, as the positives get diminished, while the negatives grow stronger with every additional level.

Thank you for these builds they are great and keep up the great work. A build I think you could make is a frenzied flame build.
recently decided i was going for something like this. primarily dex build with like 26faith 20arcane for most important spells.
I'd love to see a build around one of the whips you can get in game.
I have never seen a tree sentinel build so I hope you see this and make one (your my fave RUclipsr) but I really think you could make this a cool build.
which did you find more enjoyable between this and the lightning lancer?
I'm running a dex-faith build myself. Currently I'm using the Halo Scythe, which has a weapon art with more damage per FP than any of my actual faith spells. Also using Night Rider Flail as backup weapon because some enemies are much weaker to Strike damage.
Very exelent build!!
A weapon master build that uses weapons for the right situation
Would love to see that
6:00 from the video I'd have to disagree slightly. it seems that if you can memorize the pattern the block counter can be pretty effective.
Let's see an endgame Bolt of Gransax focused build soon!
Would love to see your take a Dragonscale Katana build.
Dude loves the green turtle talisman
love this one... want to try it but I'm out of character slots...
