Glad you guys made it there and got to enjoy yourselves despite the weather gods not playing the game! Hoping for a safe and prosperous 2025 to you guys and thanks again for helping others in being able to enjoy our beautiful country with those that matter most 😎👍
Missed you over the silly season guys and glad you enjoyed some RnR. Thanks for promoting responsible beach camping. Hope there's some beach camping left for us near retirees! Glad it's not just us in WA that have the horror wind. Ever since you dubbed us Windy Always I've noticed how windy it really is in WA!
Beach camping looks so nice, weather pending of course, we still haven’t taken a caravan onto the beach. Sad to see more great camps closing but like you said, it’s easy to why.
Great episode guys. Such a shame that places get closed because of the minority of people that have no respect for the landscape and fellow travellers. Thanks for highlighting this. 👍👍💕💕
Great Video to start the Year. Bush camp looked nice. Loved the horse & 5the kids feeding carrots.Loved the omelete cooking lesson❣️Can't control the weather & wind but looks like you had a great time kite flying! Strawberries looked YUM🥰Sad that 5% of people ruin things for all have no respect for the environment! Keep on living the dream❣️Look forward to the next one! LUV MUM🥰
I camped at Wauraltee over new years this year, it was very busy, there were a lot of vans on the beach, myself included, but there was a hell of a lot more people camping in roof top tents and swags and i was witnessing many of these people wandering into the dunes to do their business, but worst of all, on new years day i noticed a big group of young campers packing up to leave while i was walking the dog and there was rubbish and crap everywhere, i thought i would go back the following day to check up on the mess, at first glance i thought they had done a good job until i inspected their fire pit they had dug, and to my absolute horror, i found a buried bag of rubbish, so while digging that one up we found 3 more bags of rubbish and a tent buried, it was disgusting and extremely disappointing, so i had a ute full of other people’s disgusting rubbish that i had to dispose of, any wonder the council are closing it down for camping, really pisses me off….
Yes. Free camping sites are disappearing because of the 5%. I carry a spare garbage bag to collect some rubbish and remind my nabours to look after our lucky country. The beach looked beautiful. The cook did a great job as usual. As usual, happy camping and keep safe.
I hope you gave them a gob full to let them know they have done the wrong thing at emptying there toilet cassette or would have reassured them it was on RUclips and tell them to look at the sign on the way out that this is why they are closing the beach camp on the 3rd of February cheers guys 🦐🐟🦈🎣👍
I can understand emptying grey water or MAYBE a cassette in the middle of nowhere on the side of a road where nobody stays (I dont condone it, but can understand it), but to do that in a populated area, thats just asking for it to be regulated or even closed. Add a cost, paid dumping point, and huge fines to those caught doing the wrong thing and 99% of the idiots will go somewhere else
I hear you , it won't be long and there will be no free camping left. I think we should be paying a fee because nothing is free, someone has to clean up after the grub's, I'm a pensioner and wouldn't mind paying say $10 a day and getting a receipt to put on your caravan, We are off to Tassie in February for the months and plan to a lot of free / donation camping and would really hate to see them close due to grubs Cheers John.
I’m glad they are shutting it down. Over the last 30 years it has slowly started to get trashed. And the last 2-3 years has been the worst!Unfortunately too many litter bugs these days! You can actually walk most beaches in yorkes now and if you look, you WILL find plastics and smashed bottles around…😢 Hopefully after time they will re-open and give everyone a second chance. Please take what you bring guys, leave no foot print and stay off the dunes with 4wd’s🙏
I recommend that everyone who loves going to the beautiful free or NP camping places does a bit of a clean up to show that the place is valued and respected by the majority of users. Surely there's more good people caravanning and camping than the mob who's behaviour is causing restricted access and campground closures. There really is no point in complaining. It's not doing any good. We all need to be proactive. The same problems of dumping and inconsiderate behaviour will eventually see restrictions put on access to the beautiful Ningaloo Coastand and James Price Point (nth of Broome) here in WA. It's already being talked about. Safe travels. Thanks.
Small fee, install dump point and have someone on station a bit to keep it nice.. cant imagine that its just because of the "idiot factor" reason.. most of Oz is in a state of realestate crazyness & police state laws (kinda needed because there are too many people in Oz now) maybe if they opened up more places then people would space out more. Well done though nice boat work too (elec motor is nice)
It is such a shame that we as free campers are giving Councils reasons to close free camping spots. It is so so easy to clean up after yourself and even clean up after a few others if we need to. 1. a 20-litre bucket (with a lid) and plastic bags are a solution to the number 1 reason councils close beach camping....take your shit with you.... literally 2. free camping spots are not a place to leave your no longer required camping gear.....there is bound to be a roadside stop between the beach and your next destination (even though roadside stops are not the best place to put this rubbish at least it is far better than leaving it on the beach) 3. only use designated paths, do not trample the local vegetation 4. I personally even go to the measure of raking the sand back into place after I drive out of my camping spot. Point being......it is not hard to leave the area as though it has been untouched when you leave....doing so will keep these places open and even better it may encourage more Councils to open up other free camping spots.
Seaford Meadows here.... Supermarket produce is just bland AF nowadays compared to fresh produce if you can get it. Laughed at the 2 stroke idiot, even where we live at 3am there's a 🔔end who rides his 2 stroke around the streets, as if he doesn;t know what he's doing.
Isn't that how u make and meet new people when u a around people. Never seen a beach so packed b4. Wjere was this again. I couldn't hear u good. Y sound blocked up
Looks like Mel likes a little bit of egg omelette with her BBQ sauce 🙂 $30 per night for a site that offers very basic facilities and no power...na not my thing.....but everyone to their own. I take the stance that if we stop paying for these sites that are obviously overcharging, then just perhaps fees will become more realistic.... but as per the famous words of Michael Caton in The Castle.....tell him he is dreaming.
Another great video. How about in 2025 start to pronounce kilometres correctly. It is kilo - metre not ki-lometre. Just think how it is milli-metre and centi-metre and kilo-gram. Enjoy your travels.
Australia has a multitude of accents, regionalisms and pronunciations of the same words. When do you begin your tour of this country to 'correct' everyone else's grammar so we all align with yours?
love that area. i used to play footy and cricket on that oval.

So good to see you back. Great episode. Amazing children.😁🌺
yep agree with your positive comments, i have a 200L black tank
It is so sad to see beaches closing for camping. We only just got our caravan. I hope to find places that are still open for beach camping..
Saw you guys at a Caravan Park today that we are at. Wanted to say hello but you looked busy. So thought I would say hello later but you were gone.

Nice try at the drone shot, lovley beach camp. Mel will have to practise more. 😅
Call the wrongdoers out wherever you encounter them!

It's such a shame they've closed their closing a lot of places for that particular reason

In Melbourne sometimes the egg station is totally empty
Looks like the children did a growth spurt over Xmas and new year
what did you do about grey water

10 hr drive from my place. Whats the water temperature
you do realize that you stir your morning coffee backwards? it is clockwise for us normal peeps
They a super lazy to do that dammm. I think later on that beach will be more expensive with limited spots

Green Valley have better strawberries, but not pick your own
So why not go confront them and report them to the EPA
Does mel sleep to 12 sometimes? Ive been sleeping in lately its so good
So packed cost for that beach spot.
