Laura and Scott- or anybody else- never had the chemistry, the joy, the passion, or the LIFE that she has with Luke. In comparison, their relationships are wooden, dull and dead. I'll never understand why they didn't just reunite them- let Luke die a hero saving Laura and family- then it would be feasible for her to go on without him. All the rest was such a disaster- Tracy, Scott... They should have honored the fans that made them go down in history.
There's probably about 7,800 fans on this site alone that agree with you - that LnL should have been reunited, and gone off into the sunset together; or at least have Luke died professing his love to Laura. My personal storyline involves them buying the Whitaker's Farm and retiring there.
OK they admit they’re crazy about each other...why aren’t they just together. It makes no sense...Luke and Laura belong together. The divorce was just stupid.
I really don't understand why since he was leaving anyway, TG didn't give us what all the fans wanted. Luke and Laura reunited. I really don't understand why GH wouldn't give Laura another contract and keep her on the show this whole time. The Rick Webber, Laura going to a nuthouse story was stupid. She should have been at least enjoying her kids even if she didn't get back with Luke. They would only bring her back long enough to pump the ratings and then send her back to nuthouse or off to Paris for treatment. Now tell me the Luke I knew would have gone to Paris with her. The horrible writing post 1995 just kept getting worse. Even in 2013 they could have reunited this couple but no they had them kiss and say the spark was gone. Yet in 2015 when they brought her back for the Smith storyline, the chemistry was still there, even though the writers tried to hide it. So, they gave TG what he wanted an exit show without Laura even on it. But at least sussezq has saved all these Luke and Laura moments for us and we can just imagine our own ending to their love story.
I loved these two! But, their characters as LnL were inconsistent in who they were and what they wanted. Luke: "it didn't matter where we were, as long as we were together " then why did the "house" matter so much?!
When Laura said at 2:19 and then on out isn't her character.. just as she was even talking with Amy about the snow globe, it's not her and the GF we have on current day GH is SOOOOOO boring. I mean at least we used to be able to watch her put Tracy in her place but now she's gone too!!!
It is magic... whenever these two incredible actors share a scene. I SOOOO MISS THEM.

From the beginning Luke's love for Laura wasn't based upon a 'rush' so the writing/story that has evolved doesn't really seem to make sense.
Luke doesn't even want Laura. He was trying to make sure that Scotty was out of the running.
