Also if I had to recommend a video game OST it'd be Code Vein's Memory of the Lost, it's a beautifully sad melodic piece that I think you'd really enjoy since it has a classical spin to it while still holding a lot of modern musical standards.

The weirdest thing is, the singer of this OST wasn't well know in Japan by the time they recorded the music for P5. Japan's music scene usually has softer, cutesy, high pitched female voices in the top of the charts nowadays. It was Meguro, the composer, and other members from the Persona team that happened upon her work and asked if she would be interested in partnering with them because they thought her voice would suit perfectly the image they had for their new game. Now she is indeed famous there, and all over the world, because of this soundtrack. She just needed someone to find her and hone on her strengths, instead of trying to make her fit the market's "standards".
She reminds me a lot of VALSHE with her deeper vocal register. I was surprised she isn't more famous, either. "Butterfly Core" and "Kimi E No Uso" are favorite songs of mine. But you're right in that they tend to favor the more "kawaii" sound from female vocalists.

the genre of music is actually called "acid jazz" it became popular for a short time in the 80's but as clubs shifted to more EDM music it lost its foothold in the west and has sort of continued it life in japan, also you should totally listen to Daredevil from Persona 5 Scramble its a totally different vibe but still so good.

The music in the entire Persona series stands front and center and it's a very important tool used for story telling. Honestly? At this point i suggest watching all Persona Openings. There are a lot, but most of them are extremely good. To the point one of my favorite songs(Maze of Life) is from one of the persona games(Persona Q, to be more specific)

@@GOTGames P5 is an amazing game, but It takes an average of 100-120 hours the first time, so be careful with it lol. If still you wanna play it I'd recommend the Royal version, which added lots of content and solved quite a lot of problems of the original.
This OST man! It's the battle music so it plays every time you start a fight in game and it never gets old. I swear to god, I was in 90 hours deep, going "YOU NEVER SEE IT COMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING"
The singer is called Lyn, I'm pretty sure she did all the persona 5 songs with lyrics unless I'm missing some. The persona games all have anime style openings that play during the title screen, it would be really cool if you reacted to those.
Persona 5 + Royal ver. has such a banger of a soundtrack. Even all the Mementos theme (especially the new ones from Royal) are so good that grinding there doesn't even feel like a chore because if you're not in a battle, you're jamming to the beat.
Every Persona game has it's own music made for the game, and an AMAZING singer. For P3 they had Yumi Kawamura and her songs STILL make me cry. For P4 they had Shihoko Hirata and the OST was more upbeat cause YAY SOLVING MURDERS IS NOTHING BUT FUN XD and for P5 they had the amazing, the unforgettable, Lyn Inaizumi and went with a Jazz theme for the OST and it absolutely SLAMS. Had to edit to add more as I kept watching. They have actually done live concerts with all the singers! And in P5R there's a jazz club you can visit and the live singer there is voiced by Lyn once again. These people are absolutely amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend playing the games. (P.S. Yukari, Rise, Makoto best girls. Fight me/uh)
Honestly Last Surprise is probably my favourite track on the MASTERPIECE that is the P5 OST, it's also my biggest critique with Persona 5 Royal. In the original game Last Surprise was the song that played whenever you ambushed enemies (so about 95% of non-boss fights) but in P5R they added a new song called "Take Over" which (while that is also a banger) took the place of what I consider the better song and they didn't give us the option to choose which bop to fight to. Yeah, my BIGGEST issue with that game is so petty that it boils down to not having the option to choose which banger we got in random encounters. Should say a lot about my feelings towards it in general.

I really recommend giving the Outer Wilds OST a try, it's very different but it's genuinely beautiful and really powerful. The game itself is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the music suits it perfectly. I'd start with the main theme (Titled "Outer Wilds" like the game). It's a game that deserves the attention, and the music really is like nothing else out there. It's a space game, and the music is not what you'd expect.

Persona 5 has one of my favorite soundtracks in gaming. If you want a few more amazing tracks from the game, I recommend either "Life Will Change" or "Take Over".
To answer your question: Yes! All of persona's music is original, made for the game, and all of them have a distinct "vibe" to the game's theming (at least, from 3 onwards). A lot of the game's music (outside of boss music) follows those vibes. Persona 3's main theme is grungy rap/funk (with a bit of metal and pop). The lyrical choices and general vibes of the themes are fitting for a team of highschool investigators combatting nihilism itself. Persona 4's theme is Rock. Fitting for a team of spunky Highschoolers going on an adventure to solve a mystery. Persona 5's theme is Jazz. Fitting for a team of stylish thieves.
Symphogear - Zettou Ame no Habakiri i can explain what Symphogear is once you do a react of one.. but all their songs is pretty banger because they are written to be used in a specific way in the anime.

Funny that you say it reminds you of a jazz club, you can actually visit a jazz club in game and on certain days you can hear a performance from this vocalist. It's not just the music, the entire game is a vibe. Also lets do a crossover, you should TOTALLY check out the OPs and EDs to the Persona 5 anime adaptation. They were made specifically for the anime but they still got this vocalist to sing them.
The battle theme to tell your enemies that they got big brained and git gud. One of the songs I like to play while fighting bosses in MMO's when I can perfect block and counter on a boss raid.
I don't think I've seen any Genshin on the channel, and while I love me some Persona, I do wanna put something else unique out there, and that's La Signora's Battle Theme. Genshin's music, especially its boss themes, often fuse genres you'd never expect, and I think it'll surprise you.
Always going to say "Check out Soken's work with FFXIV, anything from Metal Brute Justice, Scream, Exponential Entropy, to Unbending Steel" and there are so, so many more from that man. So many boss/area/city themes.
Don't think this is recommended much but I'd say "Engage the Enemy" from Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is just one of the best tracks I've heard in a game period
I really feel like they tailored this song to Lyn's voice here. Some of the other songs in the ost can be ever so slightly rough in terms of her vocals, but here, every lyric is sung so smooth that I have no doubt she was comfortable with singing every word here.(Let's keep in mind that Lyn doesn't speak english)
A game you must absolutely hear the music of is Sonic Frontiers. It's music is peak boss fight music. It's metalcore genre with Kellin Quinn as the singer. The songs are "Undefeatable", "Break through it all", and "Find your flame"
Persona series OST's have been already on my music list since Persona 4 in PS 2 era. Their sounds are really good and catchy, vibing all the time. And this one is my favourite track on Persona 5..😊 One thing about giving you a recommendation about game OST, I dunno what to give coz a lot of OST games has no lyrics, just music. So.. if you want react or listen another game OST, here is my recommendation for you and you can choose one of this music (or maybe all of them) from Hades : "The Unseen Ones", "Good Riddance" by Darren ft Ashley, or "Lament of Orpheus" by Darren Korb.
Persona 5 music slaps so damn hard and it is a major reason why so many people love the game (apart from everything else of course). Few Facts about the vocal OSTs As many people said before, the singer does not speak even a lick of English. Her name is Lyn Inaizumi and she was picked specifically because her voice and cadence was low and matched that of a lead singer in a Jazz lineup. She was coached through the lyrics, and you can tell through the way she enunciates certain parts of the song (better seen in others) where they were delivered almost like bars in a rap. Certain stops and cuts in a sentence that should not be there but for some reason work so well when put together. Each song and soundtrack in this collection has some meaning attributed to them in the context of the game in which it was played (much like how Metal Gear Rising's music works). They are honestly all great and I would highly recommend you to check out The Whims of Fate (for a funky intro, and really catchy lyrics), Rivers in the Desert (for a more low and intense vibe), Colours Flying High (the Royal version of the Opening Theme), I Believe (Extremely Emotional, especially if you know the context behind it), and finally Beneath the Mask (hands down, my favourite lo-fi track of all time, it always gets me in the mood to do work) Final fact, I bought both the Persona 5 Artbook and OST while I was in Japan back in 2018. The OST actually costs more than the artbook, and the book is actually as thick as a phonebook. Now I know exactly why. Love your reactions, keep em coming!

I'd recommend any of the new tracks from Persona 5 Strikers but especially Rivers in the Desert. The original is an absolute banger, but what they did in strikers is so over the top. Just great, hit me like a truck when it came while playing the game.

I'm going to recommend the Persona 3 and 4 Soundtrack, once again. Persona 4, and Persona 4 the Golden, in particular. There is a plethora of OST to go through, but my personal favorite came from the anime adaptation of Persona 4. The first ED "Beauty of Destiny".
Last Surprise is the battle theme in the original version of the game, but in the Royal version when you preform an ambush it is replaced by Take Over. There is also a really cool remixed version of the song that plays in the Persona 5: Strikers OST. For more Persona 5 goodness you should check out Whims of Fate, a theme for one of the dungeons in the game, which is my favorite song from the soundtrack. For something different there are a few songs from the recent Sonic Frontiers that I think you would enjoy: I'm Here, Break Through It All, Find Your Flame, Dear Father, One Way Dream, Undefeatable.
I highly recommend giving The World Ends With You OST a listen. Definitely a mix of various genres in Japanese from rap to pop to rock to techno. All bangers in their own right but I can't help but love the main theme, Twister
A series that is also really good for their music is The Legend of Heroes Trails. There's multiple arcs already made and each one is packed with great songs. Unfortunately very few have lyrics but they are great at evoking emotions.
Last Surprise is P5's main battle theme with the remake P5Royal making it the you got ambushed theme with Take Over replacing it as the main battle theme As for game osts I reccomend The 13th Struggle(KH), The Airbuster(FF7Remake), Communication Breakdown(Xenosaga 2)
On one hand, the music seems old school, on the other it fits perfectly the games style in a very modern way. I don't know any other games, which design from graphics to menu-art, dialouge-boxes and the music is such a seamless experience. The music puts the overall-design on a whole new level.

I recommend listening to “Life Will Change” from this game’s OST, “I Believe” from Persona 5 Royal, and “Daredevil” from Persona 5 Scramble. In the P5 games, the characters infiltrate areas called Palaces and Jails over the course of several days. On the final day one of these songs plays instead of the normal music and it’s hype as hell. Specifically, the first plays for Palaces, the second plays for the final Palace added to the extended story for P5 from Royal, and the third plays in Strikers’ Jails.
You got to check out the Guilty Gear Character themes. All of them are amazing. The game is a fighting game love letter to metal and other rock genre. I say if you do check it out I say start with Sol Badguy theme as a primer. I know you would love it.
You should absolutely listen to more Persona Music. Persona 3 and 4 have some bangers too! All Persona music has such a unique vibe and each game has it's own style that makes it stick out

So intressting, i've heard about "persona" over the years, never played any of them, saw Persona 5 was with Gampass for Xbox S so downloaded it to try, and now i have played about 110 hours, and now Persona 5 pops up in alot of Podcasts and youtube videos i watch xD The whole theme of P5 is very Noir, so music fits very well.
Modern Persona games all tend to have a different colour design, a different narrative theme, and a different musical style. Persona 3 was blue, centered around death and grief, with an OST styled around hip-hop and rap. Persona 4 was yellow, centered around truth and justice, with a more pop-rock ost. And finally, with Persona 5, the game is filled with reds and blacks, is thematically about freedom and rebellion, and is styled around jazz.
Been loving the Persona 5 reactions, and it would be great to hear you also branch out into earlier Persona games. Some songs I would recommend, would be School Days, Maya's Theme, Iwatodai Dorm, and Heaven. All the opening songs are also amazing, and it would be fun to hear your thoughts. Also, another OST I would recommend would be from the anime fighting game Blazblue. If you do plan on checking it out, some songs that I enjoy personally are, Rebellion 1 and 2, Bullet Dance 1 and 2, Motor Head 1 and 2, Thin RED Line 1 and 2, Gluttony Fang 1 and 2, Crystal Forest, Awakening the Chaos, Jaeger, Yomotsuhirasaka, MUST DIE, Stand Unrivaled, Weak Excutioner, Endless Despair, and Black Onslaught 1 and 2. No idea if these are songs you would enjoy listening to, but I might as well donate a few ideas and enjoy whatever this channel brings.
I've seen a couple of your videos. Your next reaction should be "Hollow" from Final Fantasy VII Remake. It's more of an ending credits song although non-lyrical iterations can be heard while around town. But the entire song, including vocals, doesn't playout until the ending of the game.

And that’s not including boss fights and songs unique to specific fights, like “Burn My Dread -Last Battle-“ from P3 and “Throw Away Your Mask” from P5R.
the genre of music is actually called "acid jazz" it became popular for a short time in the 80's but as clubs shifted to more EDM music it lost its foothold in the west and has sort of continued it life in japan, also you should totally listen to Daredevil from Persona 5 Scramble its a totally different vibe but still so good.

P5 is an amazing game, but It takes an average of 100-120 hours the first time, so be careful with it lol.
If still you wanna play it I'd recommend the Royal version, which added lots of content and solved quite a lot of problems of the original.

The singer is called Lyn, I'm pretty sure she did all the persona 5 songs with lyrics unless I'm missing some. The persona games all have anime style openings that play during the title screen, it would be really cool if you reacted to those.
Persona 5 + Royal ver. has such a banger of a soundtrack. Even all the Mementos theme (especially the new ones from Royal) are so good that grinding there doesn't even feel like a chore because if you're not in a battle, you're jamming to the beat.
Every Persona game has it's own music made for the game, and an AMAZING singer. For P3 they had Yumi Kawamura and her songs STILL make me cry. For P4 they had Shihoko Hirata and the OST was more upbeat cause YAY SOLVING MURDERS IS NOTHING BUT FUN XD and for P5 they had the amazing, the unforgettable, Lyn Inaizumi and went with a Jazz theme for the OST and it absolutely SLAMS.
Had to edit to add more as I kept watching. They have actually done live concerts with all the singers! And in P5R there's a jazz club you can visit and the live singer there is voiced by Lyn once again. These people are absolutely amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend playing the games.

Honestly Last Surprise is probably my favourite track on the MASTERPIECE that is the P5 OST, it's also my biggest critique with Persona 5 Royal. In the original game Last Surprise was the song that played whenever you ambushed enemies (so about 95% of non-boss fights) but in P5R they added a new song called "Take Over" which (while that is also a banger) took the place of what I consider the better song and they didn't give us the option to choose which bop to fight to.
Yeah, my BIGGEST issue with that game is so petty that it boils down to not having the option to choose which banger we got in random encounters. Should say a lot about my feelings towards it in general.

I really recommend giving the Outer Wilds OST a try, it's very different but it's genuinely beautiful and really powerful. The game itself is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the music suits it perfectly. I'd start with the main theme (Titled "Outer Wilds" like the game). It's a game that deserves the attention, and the music really is like nothing else out there. It's a space game, and the music is not what you'd expect.
Yeah, persona is one of the games where everywhere you look(hear) there are only bangers, the OST is freaking great, and some of them get stuck to your mind with the fight or situation they are related to

Yeah, the Persona 5-Soundtrack is probably one of the BEST videogame-OST's so far. On the genre: afaik it´s a mixture of Jazz and Funk, with heavy influence from J-Pop and EDM. there is even some covers that may be worth checking out, in addition to the Persona 5: Royal -OST (the "enchanced" version of Persona 5, that slightly changed the game, added new content and has its own Soundtrack) as well as the Strikers-OST (Strikers is the "warriors-like" spinoff from Persona 5).

Persona 5 has one of my favorite soundtracks in gaming. If you want a few more amazing tracks from the game, I recommend either "Life Will Change" or "Take Over".
To answer your question: Yes! All of persona's music is original, made for the game, and all of them have a distinct "vibe" to the game's theming (at least, from 3 onwards). A lot of the game's music (outside of boss music) follows those vibes.
Persona 3's main theme is grungy rap/funk (with a bit of metal and pop). The lyrical choices and general vibes of the themes are fitting for a team of highschool investigators combatting nihilism itself.
Persona 4's theme is Rock. Fitting for a team of spunky Highschoolers going on an adventure to solve a mystery.
Persona 5's theme is Jazz. Fitting for a team of stylish thieves.

Funny that you say it reminds you of a jazz club, you can actually visit a jazz club in game and on certain days you can hear a performance from this vocalist. It's not just the music, the entire game is a vibe. Also lets do a crossover, you should TOTALLY check out the OPs and EDs to the Persona 5 anime adaptation. They were made specifically for the anime but they still got this vocalist to sing them.
The battle theme to tell your enemies that they got big brained and git gud.

I don't think I've seen any Genshin on the channel, and while I love me some Persona, I do wanna put something else unique out there, and that's La Signora's Battle Theme. Genshin's music, especially its boss themes, often fuse genres you'd never expect, and I think it'll surprise you.

Don't think this is recommended much but I'd say "Engage the Enemy" from Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is just one of the best tracks I've heard in a game period

I really feel like they tailored this song to Lyn's voice here. Some of the other songs in the ost can be ever so slightly rough in terms of her vocals, but here, every lyric is sung so smooth that I have no doubt she was comfortable with singing every word here.(Let's keep in mind that Lyn doesn't speak english)

A game you must absolutely hear the music of is Sonic Frontiers. It's music is peak boss fight music. It's metalcore genre with Kellin Quinn as the singer.

Persona series OST's have been already on my music list since Persona 4 in PS 2 era. Their sounds are really good and catchy, vibing all the time. And this one is my favourite track on Persona 5..😊

Persona 5 music slaps so damn hard and it is a major reason why so many people love the game (apart from everything else of course). Few Facts about the vocal OSTs
As many people said before, the singer does not speak even a lick of English. Her name is Lyn Inaizumi and she was picked specifically because her voice and cadence was low and matched that of a lead singer in a Jazz lineup. She was coached through the lyrics, and you can tell through the way she enunciates certain parts of the song (better seen in others) where they were delivered almost like bars in a rap. Certain stops and cuts in a sentence that should not be there but for some reason work so well when put together. Each song and soundtrack in this collection has some meaning attributed to them in the context of the game in which it was played (much like how Metal Gear Rising's music works). They are honestly all great and I would highly recommend you to check out The Whims of Fate (for a funky intro, and really catchy lyrics), Rivers in the Desert (for a more low and intense vibe), Colours Flying High (the Royal version of the Opening Theme), I Believe (Extremely Emotional, especially if you know the context behind it), and finally Beneath the Mask (hands down, my favourite lo-fi track of all time, it always gets me in the mood to do work)
Final fact, I bought both the Persona 5 Artbook and OST while I was in Japan back in 2018. The OST actually costs more than the artbook, and the book is actually as thick as a phonebook. Now I know exactly why.

I'd recommend any of the new tracks from Persona 5 Strikers but especially Rivers in the Desert. The original is an absolute banger, but what they did in strikers is so over the top. Just great, hit me like a truck when it came while playing the game.

I'm going to recommend the Persona 3 and 4 Soundtrack, once again. Persona 4, and Persona 4 the Golden, in particular. There is a plethora of OST to go through, but my personal favorite came from the anime adaptation of Persona 4. The first ED "Beauty of Destiny".
Last Surprise is the battle theme in the original version of the game, but in the Royal version when you preform an ambush it is replaced by Take Over.
There is also a really cool remixed version of the song that plays in the Persona 5: Strikers OST.
For more Persona 5 goodness you should check out Whims of Fate, a theme for one of the dungeons in the game, which is my favorite song from the soundtrack.
For something different there are a few songs from the recent Sonic Frontiers that I think you would enjoy: I'm Here, Break Through It All, Find Your Flame, Dear Father, One Way Dream, Undefeatable.
I highly recommend giving The World Ends With You OST a listen. Definitely a mix of various genres in Japanese from rap to pop to rock to techno. All bangers in their own right but I can't help but love the main theme, Twister

Not only are the songs created for the game they perfectly encapsulate the mood of the game.
A series that is also really good for their music is The Legend of Heroes Trails. There's multiple arcs already made and each one is packed with great songs. Unfortunately very few have lyrics but they are great at evoking emotions.

On one hand, the music seems old school, on the other it fits perfectly the games style in a very modern way. I don't know any other games, which design from graphics to menu-art, dialouge-boxes and the music is such a seamless experience. The music puts the overall-design on a whole new level.

I recommend listening to “Life Will Change” from this game’s OST, “I Believe” from Persona 5 Royal, and “Daredevil” from Persona 5 Scramble. In the P5 games, the characters infiltrate areas called Palaces and Jails over the course of several days. On the final day one of these songs plays instead of the normal music and it’s hype as hell. Specifically, the first plays for Palaces, the second plays for the final Palace added to the extended story for P5 from Royal, and the third plays in Strikers’ Jails.

So intressting, i've heard about "persona" over the years, never played any of them, saw Persona 5 was with Gampass for Xbox S so downloaded it to try, and now i have played about 110 hours, and now Persona 5 pops up in alot of Podcasts and youtube videos i watch xD
The whole theme of P5 is very Noir, so music fits very well.
If you use one to describe not just the OST, but the whole of Persona 5, that word would be STYLE.
Modern Persona games all tend to have a different colour design, a different narrative theme, and a different musical style. Persona 3 was blue, centered around death and grief, with an OST styled around hip-hop and rap. Persona 4 was yellow, centered around truth and justice, with a more pop-rock ost. And finally, with Persona 5, the game is filled with reds and blacks, is thematically about freedom and rebellion, and is styled around jazz.
Beneath the mask is a cool chill one

Been loving the Persona 5 reactions, and it would be great to hear you also branch out into earlier Persona games. Some songs I would recommend, would be School Days, Maya's Theme, Iwatodai Dorm, and Heaven. All the opening songs are also amazing, and it would be fun to hear your thoughts.
Also, another OST I would recommend would be from the anime fighting game Blazblue. If you do plan on checking it out, some songs that I enjoy personally are, Rebellion 1 and 2, Bullet Dance 1 and 2, Motor Head 1 and 2, Thin RED Line 1 and 2, Gluttony Fang 1 and 2, Crystal Forest, Awakening the Chaos, Jaeger, Yomotsuhirasaka, MUST DIE, Stand Unrivaled, Weak Excutioner, Endless Despair, and Black Onslaught 1 and 2.

I've seen a couple of your videos. Your next reaction should be "Hollow" from Final Fantasy VII Remake. It's more of an ending credits song although non-lyrical iterations can be heard while around town. But the entire song, including vocals, doesn't playout until the ending of the game.
