yes, that's why you edit the "wpa_supplicant.conf" file, it remembers the credentials for every time it reboots, if a reboot/power fluctuation/outage/etc were to happen.
I have built a receiver according to this manual. But it does not see mode-S transporders. Is it possible to change the configuration so that it does not record them?

After activating the Pi, can I use something like a LTE dongle for off-grid operation? And will it work on a Pi Zero when doing the manual installation?
Hello, yes all of that should work. If you run into any problems please get in touch with our support team via our contact page for assistance. Thanks!
Yep done all that on a Pi 3 Model B. Everything activates but after a few minutes I get a red error message telling my 1.0.28-1 (the Pi24 image) is too old and to update it. I do that which brings it up to 1.0.44-0 and it stops working. It’s hardwired so I know it’s not my network. Definitely the update that breaks it. Anyone got any advice please?
I’m getting ready to install a Starlink dish and weather machine on my roof. If I would like to be able to setup an ADS-B in the future is a 75’ cable to long?
That depends how much db gain the antenna has and which coax you should use. For such high frequency you need coax with very low db loss on such length. Hope this helps
I have a Pi B3+ I used to just screw around with emulating..but I use my PC and 3 OG Xbox's I loaded up with and modded to max...no real use for Pi now- but this is for inside planes correct? I understand transponders and squawk..but I don't really know much about what this ADS-B does?
The activation page is crap, it would do everything but let me log in, whenever I hit the "log in" after entering my info it does nothing, but it would let me click on log in with google or facebook, not sure if its something wrong with the page, or the coding.
Any chance i can get MLAT to work on a RasPi? I was planning to also feed Fr 24 but under 1 circumstance which is recieving MLAT. Any idea on how i can do this?
En el norte de España hay una circulación abundante por la noche de aviones militares entran por la zona de Asturias y Cantabria y es notorio cuando hay conflictos
Its now Oct 2023 and prices of the Pi (3,4,5) have not decreased appreciably and are unlikely to ever do so. The 2019 Pi3+ kit I used is still 45% of the price of a 2023 Pi4 kit despite the economy of scale production that is expected to bring the cost DOWN. I am afraid that the vision of Raspberry to be a low cost motherboard producer has been destroyed by the SARS-CoV2 virus; or rather the actions of various governments to limit production. If you want to add to the ADS-B community then pay the price and call it a donation from your much improved post-covid salary. If you have the time then try and find an old Pi3+ which is not longer used for its purpose, i.e obsolete then do so BUT there are not many of those since they were so good to begin with and are quite happy just sitting there doing their job day after day..
There is such a system, you can apply for a completely setup system on their website for free (you do not pay anything for it). You just need to install it onto your roof and that's it.

Where does flightradar gets its information about aircraft type BEFORE departure?
Silly question. What does it do? Will I hear pilots talking?
no, it shows the aircraft in ur vicinity
What is the approximate cost of all parts?
Around 100 US Dollars could be 20 bucks more or less. If you buy it used, could be way less.
Does the antenna have to be outdoor or an indoor antenna is sufficient?
you can buy outdoor antenna's which work very well, the higher it is and the more sky it can see the better the results.
Question, I already have good coverage at my location but will this show me aircraft that I don't see on the website of mobile app?
Nop. Try using dump1090
