Jean Françaix is a gifted conservative composer. His works are usually pleasant and full of good humoour. His use of the bassoon is very pleasant and wise all along the concerto. The orchestration also is very nice.

It is very difficult to not like Francaix's music, and even better most musicians like playing his music !!
