It shows the autobots look out for 1 another. The decepticons, as Hound said in 1 of the pilot episodes, "They don't care about anyone, not even their own."
So the real reason the G1 cartoon is remembered fondly is this. A multi-part story in which the Decepticons had a cohesive plan (even though really, REALLY nerfed to be appropriate for kids) was both perfectly evil and competent. The Autobots all had individual personalities, and Optimus Prime was established as a leader. (HOW could executives have thought his toy was disposable for the 1986 movie after doing this?) Credit to Flint Dille, who had been writing Dungeons and Dragons, who understood the importance of differentiated personalities and alignment charts, etc. The story is iconic for the series. Megatron always has complicated plans, etc., and the Autobots have to stop him. I'd say it was the most well-thought out screenplay of the G1 cartoon. It's why it was better than other cartoons, and the comics never quite had this depth. (Even with Starscream acting like a six year-old.)
It is, though, why Optimus Prime's death in the movie was such an impactful moment for children of my generation. I still remember how quiet and contemplative I was coming out of the theater.
Would've been better if the female autobots and the rainmakers made a quick return during the Cybertron battle. But to think this had more "realism" in Cybertron causing catastrophic gravitational damage, than even Michael's Bayformers w/Dark of the Moon and The Last Knight w/Cybertron at Earth's (or Unicron's) doorstep twice.

Starscream: Megatron!
Megatron: and the penalty for mutiny is termination
(Why aren't there any new villains like Megatron or Skeletor, or even Mumm-Ra? I mean there are a few good new villains, but still though 🤷.)
17:45 Some say he's actually been faceless this whole time and he's just been using a hologram.
Megatron’s has insane durability.
The two Decepticon cars pursuing Wheeljack, Bumblebee, Trailbreaker, & Brawn on Cybertron could be Runaround & Runamuck from the G1 Season 3 Episode Ghost In The Machine.
19:49 Thundercracker's holy T-Pose transformation. INSERT ANGELIC MUSIC HERE
Shockwave: “you cannot get out.” Blows hole in the wall. Jetfire: “I can now.” Rockets away.
i love the fact that humans are actually use full and i am sad that i never experienced this epicness
but now i can witness happiness (i only watched the movies and the primeverse)
Is it just me or does this group of episodes seem like a good plot for a classic DooM WAD? (Ironically, this is called The Ultimate Doom.)
Do elaborate
@@doomchap7614 He is referring to the video game called Doom. People made customised versions of doom. Simpsons Doom is good example.
Bruh, this actually sounds awesome
The ultimate doom was the best three episodes. I had the vhs as a kid.
8:22 that's no tidal wave, it's a tsunami!
4:08 "Uh oh, trouble upstairs!"
4:12 "That's my specialty."
Uhhhh... can't possibly be only me who got that phrase wrong right?
Could you get it wrong as
Skyfire OWNED the Decepticons on Cybertron.
"Arkeville is of no further use"
A bit later
"We need Arkeville where is he?"
Better three-parter than Dark of the Moon
"You sure I can't convince you for the magazine subscription" is the funniest (intentionally) line in the whole series.
17:46 Anyone else notice Prowl’s face disappearing?
I Noticed That.
I pointed it out, but I didn't know the bots name
Rare to see Soundwave ordering a bunch of Seekers.
14:00 - 14:29 everything in this part are beautiful: the song (but i have a question what's the name of this pretty song), the father's moral about peoples we love and the hug between Spike and the dad.
"We now return into transformers" chilly quote
My favorite G1 episode. It has everything that made the series great.
