Love that mountain... the descents to Malaucène and Sault are bread and butter, the Bédouin one is one of the greatest delights in cycling. I took it a bit more slowly than this, to make the pleasure last longer. Cup of coffee at Chalet-Réynard, Café Liègois down in Bédouin, 50 clicks recovery trip back to Orange. What a day... I'll be back.
Sounds like a good trip. My son and I rode the Cingles in August, took a bit longer than you, but a great way to 'do' the Ventoux. We chose the same order as you - seemed the best approach
Unreal! We went down the other side, and what a blast it was! We were all like big kids at the bottom - "How fast?!" "Whaddya get!?" I was ecstatic with my filling-loosening 85 kph, but many were faster, and Phil Anderson (who ran our never-to-be-forgotten trip) overtook us as if on a motorcycle...
Just did this with my mate last weekend. That decent is out of this world!
Will always remember that...

Amazing! I can't even imagine going up that monster. Hats off to all that have done it.
Pick a day when the weather is clear, the views are awesome!! And the ride is pretty good too
