Fans wearing Tachibana Jackets in the stands. This is amazing because how a band outside of the Japan manages to captivate the audience in this way, FANTASTIC!
I heard that there was no order to the music and that the drummers announced the new song by changing the rhythm. But can someone explain to me exactly how they did that, because it sounded to me like they didn't do any interruptions. I'm really impressed with how well it worked. I'm particularly interested in which drummer makes the decision.
From my observation one of the tenor drummers (the one with multiple drums) changes the beat. Sometimes a teacher comes to him and signals 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 and so on.. I think Sing Sing Sing is 1. Not sure.
Due to music copyrights, they couldn't play some of the songs as often as they would like. The Rose Parade committee used to pay all the music copyright fees but this year they made a change and decided that the bands themselves are now responsible for it. Thus, the reason some songs were played only sparingly and one of the teachers was keeping track and signaled to the drummers on the song to play next. The Rose Parade committee is really cheap. They don't provide any fundings at all for a band that traveled afar like Kyoto Tachibana to participate and now they don't even want to help with music copyright fees.
@@LL-ii1dc It's true. The wide range of repertoire, the wonderful performance skills, and the amazing dance of Kyoto Tachibana High School were all reduced by the organizers' restrictions, and they were not able to show even half of their potential. It was truly a shame for the local audience.
Too bad the 124 year old Philadelphia Mummers Parade is excluded from National viewing. Nothing like the Philadelphia String Bands. Look it up on you tube! Every New Years Day !

一部の意見で「曲間が長い」という声もありますが、
その間、パーカション部隊が物凄く格好良く演奏しています、
パレードの土台、心臓であるパーカッション部隊に大きな拍手を送りたいです
そんなこと言ってる人がいるのかぁ。パーカッションだけのところもカッコいいのに、聞く耳がないなぁ。
逆に現地の人達はパーカッション演奏の時にこそ余計に歓声あげてるじゃん🎉

クラファンで集まった一億超は、全費用の3/5だったとバンドフェストの司会者が紹介アナウンスしてました。
また、バンドフェストで、クラファンの方などに感謝も述べていました。
それなのにそういうことを知らないで、少ない情報で悪く言われてしまうのは悲しいです😢
このメインスタンドの方たちは、日本の保護者様ではなく、現地のサポートメンバーですよ😊

あの旗持ち役の人は、一番きついと思う。ただ、日本国旗を別のやり方で掲げる方法はあったはずだ。私が指導者だったら、バナータイプにして持ちやすくする。

あれ？一番受ける振付が今回はカットされてますね。あの手足を前に突き出す独特の行進動作がカットされて、歩いて沿道の観客に手を振る動作に変わってしまっている。疲労を避けるためにそうしたのだろうか？非常に残念。あの動作が一番観客が興奮するものだったのですが。

9キロ歩く中であの振り付けは体力消耗するし今回のパレードはsingが多く演奏されていたので何回もやってしまうと多分生徒さんたちがしんどくなってしまうんじゃないんでしょうか。まぁそんなこと言わずに頑張って生徒を褒めてあげましょう！

They play the same stuff over and over it’s nothing new.
Um, they are mobile so not all the spectators hear the same songs
They play 7-8 songs with choreography over 6 miles. Not even college bands play as many songs, most play 3 or less and just march all the way.
The crowd seems to think otherwise
