One of the defining aspects of Tachibana’s parade performances is the breathtaking synchronization of every performer-melding music and dance steps seamlessly as they march. This video captures that essence beautifully, showcasing their unparalleled harmony. It’s as if a vast flock of migratory birds, bound by an unspoken discipline, is gracefully traversing the open skies. Truly magnificent! I find myself watching the parade segment of this video over and over again. Why? Because I believe this particular video, which captures the entire scope of the performance, encapsulates everything that the Kyoto Tachibana High School Band represents. Even before they started, the anticipation was palpable-it was clear these students were about to deliver something extraordinary. The performance began with a classic Disney tune, accompanied by a steady, measured pace. I was immediately captivated by their impeccable pitch and harmony, and the flawless sense of timing exhibited by the percussion section. It was a testament to the fact that their foundation truly lies in “concert band” music. There was not even a hint of the aggressive, warlike atmosphere often associated with band performances meant to intimidate opponents or rally allies. Instead, their music seemed to proclaim, “How could you not enjoy the sheer joy of sound?” Barely had I recovered from being awestruck by their first number when the second piece began-and they started running. Yes, running while playing their instruments! But it wasn’t just random running. Every single member, from the percussion section to those carrying sousaphones, moved in perfect unison, maintaining synchronized strides with proper leg curls. But this is Kyoto Tachibana we’re talking about-it didn’t stop there. Suddenly, they let out their signature spirited shouts, and in a flash, they spun gracefully in place. And then-yes, they stopped playing and began to sing! What on earth is going on here? They’re singing! I had never seen or heard anything like it. As if that weren’t enough, when the singing ended, they launched into a whirlwind of vertical jumps, lateral sways, spins, and intricate steps-all while seamlessly resuming their performance. What kind of energy do these kids possess? I was beyond impressed; I was utterly dumbfounded. And to think they performed a 15-minute drill show before transitioning seamlessly into this intense parade performance. This level of stamina and skill is, without a doubt, something only they can achieve. No-based on everything I know, it’s something only they do. Just as I was reeling from being blown away in the best possible sense, they reprised the first number. What is this brilliance in pacing, this ability to weave dynamics into their performance? It felt as though they had a deep understanding of exactly what the audience-or rather, the world-wants to see and hear. Watching and listening to them, I couldn’t help but find myself unconsciously moving along, smiling, and by the end, inexplicably tearing up. Yes, by the finale, I was on the verge of tears, overwhelmed by gratitude for the mere fact that they exist in this world. Kyoto Tachibana is truly gifted-a miraculous presence. Once again, thank you for today! I sincerely apologize for taking up so much of your time.

上からだからパーカス隊の乾いた通る音が良く聞こえるし、singの打音があまりにも心地よ過ぎていつまでも聞いて(見て)られる。ある意味癒されます（笑）

Johnny Be Goodeの最初の一音で引き込まれてしまい、happy birthdayでちょっとひと息ついたと思ったら、しっとりと名曲を。company front も繰り出して、来るぞ！最後はsing✖️3で締める。という流れるような期待通りのいや期待を上回る、勧善懲悪ストーリー。しかもこの角度だとストーリーを彩る隊列変化がハッキリとわかってしまいます。でもこれで終わりじゃないんです。最後の最後で大どんでん返しがあるんです。pass and reviewをお見逃しなく🎉

この角度から観ると、他団体とのフォーメーションとは異次元さが違う！…ことが良くわかります😱😱

台湾の時もそうでしたが高めの俯瞰でみるとどれだけのことやってるかが一目瞭然ですよね。 わかりづらいですがsingの前の8:04前後には人文字で「ROSE2025」もやっています。(カラーガードが周りを前まで走ってるところ) 5:38からはローズパレードの薔薇なのか花のマークもしてます。 しかしこの撮影位置でこれだけ聞こえる音の気持ちよさと言ったら。楽しいです。

退場時に行列成して演奏に合わせて踊る演技するところなどは、近世以前からある阿波踊り等々との類似点があります。西洋で生まれた楽器を使いながらも、きわめて日本的なところもあり興味深いものがあります。若い生徒の発想思考の柔軟性が新しさを生み出しています。今後も期待できます。

高い位置からの撮影　ありがとうございました。 ２０１８年に思ったことですが　米国チームも俯瞰で演技を楽しませてくれるところがありました。　 2024年には正面のナイター照明の所にカメラを設置して楽しませてくれるのではないかと　 密かに期待してました。　 素人の自分には　この位置からでも「バラ🌹」と　「ROSE2025」の人文字の判別は出来ませんでした。

I finally figured out how they can run, dance, march, twirl, spin and yet not miss any notes or being off time. The secret is under the orange capes they wear! They carry small Bluetooth speakers that are actually producing the music! AND...they also carry small oxygen tanks that provide the extra oxygen needed to do what they do. There is no way they could keep this up for over 5 miles of the Rose Parade, no way. AND...each member has a small GPS tracking device earbud that gives each member their exact location so as they march backward, sideways, twirl then turn around, they maintain their positions! That is the ONLY explanation for how they manage to sound so good. That has to be it. Very clever but I figured it out!🍊😈😁
