Malaga isn’t a bad shout to be honest, I completely forgot about their rise and fall, would make a interesting save. One of my save ideas was to take Paris FC and take the title from PSG
A save I recommend is FC ARGES in Romania. In the 70s and 80s they were one of the best teams in Romania, but now they are in the second division after relegation from the first leauge.
Another one is Oldham, 2nd season now in the national league, former Premier League club, spent most of their history in the 2nd & 3rd division. League cup finalists in 1990, multiple times in the FA Cup semi finals. Since then no promotions from any division since 1990/91. Last season was also the first time they’ve finished in the top half of any division since the 2008/09 season too. Poor owners nearly sent the club out of existence in recent years which resulted in poor results on the pitch sending them down from league 1 to the national league. Local business man Frank Rothwell and supporter of the club bought the club last summer. A couple of good signings were made in the summer too, James Norwood from Barnsley and few other players from league clubs too. So good solid squad to work with in the first season to be challenge for the title with the likes of Chesterfield. Eventually take them back to the premier league. Also to note they average around 6500-8000 attendance wise which is brilliant at that level and especially with City & United basically on their doorstep too.
Union Berlin's squad is actually really good. I got them to stay in the UCL with little to no transfers. Tom you're just blinded by the old FMs where players just cease to exist after 32 years old. Christopher Trimmel didn't lose his pace or stamina in my save til he retired at 38. He was playing the full 90 minutes whenever he was needed to
I only do saves where I start unemployed (it's so much easier than choosing a club... just make your qualifications the level of club you want to start at and apply everywhere) and I can guarantee that Union Berlin even 5 years into the game is a WILD ride.
As a Charlton fan I couldn't possibly do a save with Lincoln 🙂 Malaga is a great shout, i'd also recommend Deportivo La Coruna, a once established Champions League club, currently sitting in mid table of the third tier of Spanish Football...
The one that catches my eye is Truro City of the National League South. Why? Because they are a Cornish team, and no team from Cornwall has ever been in the football league. Truro have been in this league before, and are Cornwall's highest ranked team, but they have never been higher.
My challenge save I'm planning on doing this year, is to choose 3 random nationalities every season that a player must have as a partial nationality to sign them... trying this at Athletico Madrid in the beta, and had Italy, Guyana, and Vanuatu. This second season I randomed out Ukraine, burundi, and Cambodia... love the challenge of seeing a wonderkid that I can never sign, just because he's not from the nation I drew, and likewise, finding people I've never heard of before, that are actually good I.E Nestory Irankunda, who has burundi as a second nationality, but looks like a future star in real life
Thanks for video! Idea for next one: Which teams to manage in J League - this league is included for the first time ever so... let's all manage some Japanese teams.
I'm going to be doing a Rushall Olympic save as they just got promoted to the national league north for the first time in their history plus they play just down the road from me.
I did Lincoln City years ago in Championship Manager 03-04 (still works well, BTW) and got them from what would have been League 2 to the Premiership..... where I finished three consecutive 6ths and won two league cups! So getting into the Champions League might be a bit difficult!
I'm using Scunthorpe too. Won national League north on 1st season now I'm battling for playoffs in national league atm in 2nd year still early in season tho
Im about to start a save with Bury F.C. in T9 in english football using only their youth subjects. Their facilities are amazing so hope I produce some solid talent. Going to be a long save
I decided to rebuild RW Essen, once a huge club in Germany and for anyone who has watched Miracle of Bern, a lot of the players in the squad came from them, so it seemed a good choice. Currently in season 7, got to the quarter finals of the Conference League last season and currently top of the Bundesliga (only 5 games in though). I have just signed Moukoko, but I’m quite disappointed by his development, as he’s barely developed over those 6-7 seasons!
In every Video of Clubs there is always one missing Schalke 04 ...they are one of the biggest clubs in europe when it comes to members and they are about to get relegated into the 3.Liga in Germany
did this the board are unbelievable won the league first season then they want you to finish top half first time...i got sacked for being 12th by xmas the owner also wont let you improve anything either i thought i would enjoy it but was a real let down...going to give malaga a go now
I will try to continue my save with Eastbourne Borough and get them to the PL (currently League 2). To be honest Union Berlin look like an interesting challenge to take.
During a save how many years do you suggest doing in the future im not really a massive grinder and tend to flick between fm and eafc and I’m not to sure how many years to do in the future as I’ve only been playing a year or so
What about Grimsby Town? 🤔 Former Championship side, a bit of a staple from the very early 90's to very early 00's. Adam Richman (Man vs Food) is one of the shareholders. Their stadium isn't even in their own town/Grimsby so they technically play all of their home games "away". And last but not least, I know you have a personal soft-spot for them 😂
I can add Ajax Lyon Girona(City Group) Troyes(City Group) As a challenge, you can take City Group teams till you manage Manchester City Ajax and Lyon are the lowest in their league so you can rise them back to the top again
Bro why did you do galatasary but not do Bursaspor? One of the two teams outside of Istanbul to win the super lig and are in 3rd div in turkey due to financial struggles in recent years. Much better challenge than gala.
Can’t wait for my permanent Galway United save. This year mine broke the day I played PSG in the final game of group stage which would have sent me to the knockouts. Game wouldn’t sim past that date and now all my save files are gone
one idea i have is to manage Dukla Prague it is a Czech team currently playing in the second division they have a huge history as a army team they used to be
Hi Tom I'm a reading FC fan and I'm not sure if your aware of the clubs situation at the moment but basically we are on the verge of going into administration 😢 I was wondering if you could do a video of the club because a club of Rfc size would be a shame to go in to administration I would help as much as possible like links to FB) sell before dia) setup by the fans
Galatasaray is good but Fenerbahçe would be better because they can’t be champions for 10 years they are always second or sth. So you can try make them champs and bring a european trophy to them
I don't know if it's my problem. But there are too many injuries in this game. My GK just got injured in 89th minute and I had already used all subs. And I lost the game 2-1 conceding in 93rd and 96th
It feels that there's more injuries because you play a lot of games in a day. FM toned down the injuries compared to real life. If it was like real life you'd most likely be like lazio or leicester who never fielded their best XI cause someone is always injured there
Might take on Saint Etienne, as I tend to steal Green from them lol. I'm having a harder challenge than a Man U window. I'm trying to finish a game without at least 3 injuries
Robin Gosens signed from Inter Milan and not Atalanta. Otherwise. Great content. Keep going Tom. You're one of my favourite FM content creators. Keep doing more.

We NEED Schalke to return to the bundesliga asap, a rebuild would be fire Tom!
rn they are on the way to the 3rd League...
Another one is Oldham, 2nd season now in the national league, former Premier League club, spent most of their history in the 2nd & 3rd division. Honestly a little surprised you'd include Scunthorpe given we have a little rivalry with Lincoln but that is the save I'll be taking on in FM24
Union Berlin's squad is actually really good. I got them to stay in the UCL with little to no transfers. Tom you're just blinded by the old FMs where players just cease to exist after 32 years old. Christopher Trimmel didn't lose his pace or stamina in my save til he retired at 38. He was playing the full 90 minutes whenever he was needed to
Great vid Tom, going into depth and offering a little insight into the players really adds that extra level of intrigue to these ideas
Absolutely love seeing Galatasaray on this list. I really think it’s gonna be fun managing them this year.
I only do saves where I start unemployed (it's so much easier than choosing a club... just make your qualifications the level of club you want to start at and apply everywhere) and I can guarantee that Union Berlin even 5 years into the game is a WILD ride.
Good video Tom, I usually prefer my lower league saves than a top team save, I'll be doing many journeyman saves as I do get easily bored
Lincoln was my first serious save back in FM 2013. I'm gonna bring them continental glory in FM 2024.
As a Charlton fan I couldn't possibly do a save with Lincoln 🙂 Malaga is a great shout, i'd also recommend Deportivo La Coruna, a once established Champions League club, currently sitting in mid table of the third tier of Spanish Football...

Plot twist: u signed the next Messi from Vanuatu
1. FSV Mainz 05 save currently and have just beat Leipzig in the Pokal final through an own goal and a freekick.
Thanks for video! Idea for next one: Which teams to manage in J League - this league is included for the first time ever so... let's all manage some Japanese teams.
Scunthorpe might be the 1 for me. Another good challenge would be getting Falkirk back to the top flight
Really happy to see you adding Saint-Etienne to your list! :)
I'm going to be doing a Rushall Olympic save as they just got promoted to the national league north for the first time in their history plus they play just down the road from me.
I’m playing Rushall as well, it’s a real challenge
I did Lincoln City years ago in Championship Manager 03-04 (still works well, BTW) and got them from what would have been League 2 to the Premiership..... where I finished three consecutive 6ths and won two league cups! So getting into the Champions League might be a bit difficult!
Soon as I saw Scunthorpe in danger of relegation last year, and read up on their owner situation, i knew they were the club for me in FM24
As a SUFC fan, I'm curious how you get on! (thankfully, we have a new owner now and things are a little more stable)
Urawa Reds from Japan.
The 3rd time AFC Champions League winner and current champions but they didn't won a domestic league title since 2006
I also recommend managing Freiburg , Gladbach , Rc Lens , Brighton , Deportivo and Ajax
RC Lens i won 3 titles straight
The AFC champions league is now worth it with the Strong Saudi teams, Picking a Korean or Japanese team for a bit of realism.
I decided to rebuild RW Essen, once a huge club in Germany and for anyone who has watched Miracle of Bern, a lot of the players in the squad came from them, so it seemed a good choice.

Real Sociedad and Bournemouth are definitely 2 teams that I'm doing a safe on. They've done great business this window and really like their team
Will still pick my team Schalke 04. Really tough team to manage with a massive debt for a german club
did this the board are unbelievable won the league first season then they want you to finish top half first time...i got sacked for being 12th by xmas the owner also wont let you improve anything either i thought i would enjoy it but was a real let down...going to give malaga a go now
I will try to continue my save with Eastbourne Borough and get them to the PL (currently League 2). To be honest Union Berlin look like an interesting challenge to take.
I'm currently managing Chelmsford in Vanarama South. Pushing for a playoff spot. Good times!
During a save how many years do you suggest doing in the future im not really a massive grinder and tend to flick between fm and eafc and I’m not to sure how many years to do in the future as I’ve only been playing a year or so

And last but not least, I know you have a personal soft-spot for them 😂
As soon as the Megapack comes out, a season in Moroccan Botola would be nice
St Etienne is my go-to for FM.
Why manage Malaga when Deportivo La Coruña are literally right there 🤨
Starting with malaga now gunna be hard with no transfer budget like
First time I've ever seen my home town in a video even though it was just the northolme
I can add
Ajax
Lyon
Girona(City Group)
Troyes(City Group)
As a challenge, you can take City Group teams till you manage Manchester City
Ajax and Lyon are the lowest in their league so you can rise them back to the top again
Yo, "Finley Shrimpton" is wild
Ton love your vids you should do a Almeria rebuild they are currently bottom of la liga without a win
Do a Lincoln save as director of football and bring the cowley brother back as manager/assistant manager
Bro why did you do galatasary but not do Bursaspor? One of the two teams outside of Istanbul to win the super lig and are in 3rd div in turkey due to financial struggles in recent years. Much better challenge than gala.
as someone born in SG, yea i'd pass the hanoi save
Me able to see and know what logo from the start:
Thanks, I'm off.
I have a Scunthorpe save rn and it’s so fun
Could someone take care of Schalke 04 and tell the managers how they did it? Much appreciated.
Malaga scored their goal in Dortmund from offside too. So it’s just karma)
Of course St Etienne has a player named Etienne Green.
Ha - I just started my Malaga save today.
Take Ibiza to the La liga and beat the giants!
🤩really happy to see hanoi fc
Yeovil deserves a shout out
i will manage 1860 Munich
I do them every year! So much fun and then trying to take over Bayern
I'm doing a save on leicester.
They have NO transfer budget at all.
Can’t wait for my permanent Galway United save. This year mine broke the day I played PSG in the final game of group stage which would have sent me to the knockouts. Game wouldn’t sim past that date and now all my save files are gone
Hanoi were created in the year I was born
Malaga scored a clear offside goal before too, so that evens it out
Malaga isn't owned by Al-thani anymore, he was kicked out by court. Att: a Malaga supporter
1.FC Heidenheim (German Bundesliga )
one idea i have is to manage Dukla Prague it is a Czech team currently playing in the second division they have a huge history as a army team they used to be
Hi Tom I'm a reading FC fan and I'm not sure if your aware of the clubs situation at the moment but basically we are on the verge of going into administration 😢
I was wondering if you could do a video of the club because a club of Rfc size would be a shame to go in to administration
I would help as much as possible like links to FB) sell before dia) setup by the fans
Do a PSMS Medan In indonesia League career
united. this will be my main save
Lincoln. Hire Tom.
Santos FC from Brazil!
Mr beast of the fm
Given they will be open in the real life option on FM Lincoln City may be a really popular choice
Thank you
malaga one is the one for me
i am thinking the turkey challenge
Galatasaray is good but Fenerbahçe would be better because they can’t be champions for 10 years they are always second or sth. So you can try make them champs and bring a european trophy to them
Hà Nội Fc I know someone who plays for them
I don't know if it's my problem. But there are too many injuries in this game. My GK just got injured in 89th minute and I had already used all subs. And I lost the game 2-1 conceding in 93rd and 96th
It feels that there's more injuries because you play a lot of games in a day. FM toned down the injuries compared to real life. If it was like real life you'd most likely be like lazio or leicester who never fielded their best XI cause someone is always injured there
Im gonna transfer my fm23 save
Might take on Saint Etienne, as I tend to steal Green from them lol. I'm having a harder challenge than a Man U window. I'm trying to finish a game without at least 3 injuries
Where Heidenheim
Robin Gosens signed from Inter Milan and not Atalanta. Otherwise. Great content. Keep going Tom. You're one of my favourite FM content creators. Keep doing more.
Brigton
Sheffield Wednesday for me! massive club, chairman is a idiot, will have no money to spend, worse start in championship history…. Dreams rebuild
of course LINCOLN XD
Onest
Number 8 is Hansa Rostock
