    Excellent trick to enhance UX. We can use this to highlight certain data points by "fading" all the items that don't comply with what ever criteria we want to highlight. Thank you very much for sharing!!

      You don't need this overcomplicated method. Just use "Edit interactions" with either the "highlight" or "filter" option. This video is just far too nerdy.

      @@alderiks By doing it the way you describe it would not be dynamic, which is the goal of the end user.
      This video give a great technique that can be expanded and used in multiple scenarios.
      The video is pointing at the stars and you are only looking at the finger.

    The last 2 digits should be a hex number, your method works but have a gradient of 100 transparency levels instead of 256
