I bet these kids are having a blast playing this. The material works really well for the mallet instruments, and the music is just awesome, rhythmic with great harmonies.
_Incredible!_ Thank You Scientist is probably the last thing I expected a high school to perform, but your arrangement was excellent, and the players knocked it out of the park!
ive loved xylophone since i was in 4th grade.thats how i found them.my son recently turned me on to thank you scientist.so great to see young passionate musicians killin it.
The original came up in my spotify discover and one of my first thoughts when listening was, "Man this would've been badass to do back in highschool" and this video filled that void in my heart for the perfect pit jam lol Everyone did amazing! Also how much money does that school have to have FOUR 5-octave marimbas 💀💀
Hey this is the drummer who recorded on this Thank You Scientist album and I just wanted to say sorry for the late discovery of this video but it’s amazing and I think the drummer killed it along with all the other musicians ! Lots of love! ❤️
@@odinalvarez2741 Oh WOW!! I’m sorry I hadn’t replied sooner, I’ve been slammed with my regular band director duties! Thank you SO MUCH for your VERY kind words! It’s truly an honor that you took the time to reach out and give props! We had a blast putting it together and I absolutely love your drumming style! I’ll be sure to let Shane (the drummer in this video) know what you said! He’ll be elated! All the best! Hector Gil Director of Percussion Vista Ridge High School
Band Director: Alright, let's listen to this before we try to sight read it. Girl at 0:50: Wow... Is there a bass drum part or something? Band Director: You could play cajon and a shaker. Girl: Sold!
my high school’s advanced percussion ensemble was supposed to play this in my freshman year, but then covid hit. really disappointed that they couldn’t perform it. regardless, very well done on this arrangement, hector.
So awesome that Thank You Scientist's music is so great that a high school percussion covered their song. Great band Great cover.
