For those wanting to smash a TV due to the "locate Apple folder" issue, it could be that you installed icloud from the Microsoft store. Uninstall it and reinstall directly from the icloud website (someone has also posted the .exe link file in a sub-comment here). That worked for me.
i downloaded it from the apple website and it still says the same thing. bout ready to smash a tv

@@tylerkeser5811 if you are using 64bit windows then map the apple folder inside the program files(x86) path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
I had to use window uninstaller to remove itunes and icloud and then delete altstore and then install itunes and icloud first, then after having both of those restart my system and THEN download altstore, super dumb process, but it worked

as of May 25 2021..still works but a little different on windows now...i had to open the windows icon and go to Altstore. but it worked..NO VIRUS YET !!!LMAO

The same the was happening to me too. But I reinstalled alt store and iTunes again and it eventually worked. Or try to restart your pc then install them again.

What if I only have windows 8.1? Doesn't mean that is not going to work anymore?
also because, When I open altserver it said that the "Entry point not found". I did reinstall but I do still have the same issue
It seems that AltStore is difficult to install on Windows 7 and 8.1 but to my knowledge not impossible.

when i try to log in with apple id on altstore app it says cannot find alt server. what shold i do
After I click install altstore on my iPhone it downloads and then says iCloud is already installed from Microsoft store. Even tho I deleted iCloud it still keeps saying that. What do I do?
Try resinstalling alt store on your computer
Tried this on a windows laptop, followed every direction up to the setup. AltServer wouldn't launch no matter what I did. Deleted everything, tried again, all it does is run a background task that does nothing

Yea it does. Had the same problem . You have to go to the arrow at the bottom and left click on the little clear circle

If anyone is having trouble trying to install around 4:00 make sure you click "install" instead of using your 'Enter' key
when i click install it says "WinHttpsSendRequest: 12007: The server name or address could not be resolved"

After i put in my apple id and password it asks me to locate apple flie, im able to find it when im searching my files but not with the "choose foler" prompt that alt server gives anyone else have the same problem?

Okay I know this was uploaded a WHILE ago but I can't get past the apple id part, it just says my apple id can't be used
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple this is the location of the folder if you're having issues.

Did you receive a trust device prompt on your ipad when you plugged it into your computer?
can you please help me every time i hit install it says if i would like to download again and it will remove it off my other device and this is my first time doing it. then i hit ok then nothing happens after that, nothing download or anything.

I installed AltStore, ran the setup with admin access, but when attempting to open the AltServer App, it did not appear in the Microsoft search. I reran it but it still did not appear. How do I fix this.
