Prime Pierce was 25ppg 44%fg 7rpg 4apg. Elite 3 level scorer. He took a team to the ECF without KG & Ray Allen.
Prime D-Wade was 27ppg 49%fg 7apg 5apg. Elite 2 way player. He was finishing top 3-5 in both MVP & DPOY without Shaq & LeBron.
Two different but both great players individually. Then when they had a great team around them, they both won it all with both having a finals MVP.

Paul's highest scoring season was 26 ppg to Wade's 30 ppg. Wade also has all defensive team selections to Paul's 0. Multiple first team all nba selections to Paul's 0. Pierce and Wade are actually so close it’s kind of crazy if you go skill for skill. The biggest difference is the athleticism but Pierce was a better outside shooter. Wade moved his feet a little better on D and got into the gaps but Pierce was a bully and played a little dirty to stop guys.
It’s ironic because at one point when I was a child these were two of my top 3 favorite players the list has grown since same guy at the top tho. Objectively I can’t even really pick but I got to go with Paul because of everything off the court 🤷♂️

This is a easy one. I’ll put it like this, very simple. D wade could do everything Paul could do on the floor, but Paul can’t do what Wade does (ie. Posterizing,Defense,Transition Offense,Elite passing, etc). From 2006 to 2011 Wade was top 5 in the league. Paul has never been a top 5 player in any season he played. It’s that simple I can’t believe we’re even having this debate. Wade gets a lot of flack nowadays with his questionable lifestyle off the court, so I guess it’s “cool” to hate on him now. But at the end of the day we all know who was better.

2006 NBA Finals - Wade 35ppg - 8 rbs - 4 ast - 3 stls - 1 blk - Paul Pierce never reached these heights period. He's not on Dwade's level. Great player, but if Pierce was on the Heat in 2006 they would have lost that series.

He was always second fiddle - which worked for him, bc his game was complimentary to bigs and passers. Paul carried a franchise around on his back - dragged two rec league squads into the playoffs, all on his own. And when KG and Ray came to town, Pierce was still the number one.
Wade's a great player, though he dirty as they come, but he never had to do it on his own like Pierce.

Like, statistically, and eye-test, Pierce is a dramatically better shooter in the mid-range - he did it through contact, he is the blueprint for the modern step-back, he was a machine. Wade didnt really start shooting confidently til about halfway into his career. Wade is, unsurprisingly, a much better scorer inside, as the premier transition scorer of his generation. Wade thrived bc he was out in front of people, and faster than everyone who tried to guard him - he wasnt a post scorer, he came into a jump shot as a veteran. He was a slasher. Pierce was a shooter.

@@t-god2439 in terms of production & they did have similar games as the style of play in that era was a more condensed high post elbow midrange so most SF’s and SG’s + some PF’s (KG, Duncan, AK47, Boozer, Bosh) had proficient games in that area. Lol and yea SF is the prototypical bball position to most.

Pierce a legend & probly top 10 SF all time, not 5, unless you wanna go by rings but still off the top of my head in no order but all of these guys better then Pierce: Bird, KD, Kawhi, LeBron, Pierce would be top 5 if we doing this(If I'm not forgetting anybody or some) Wade Top 3, so since when Top 3 isn't better then top 5? & Wade a better finisher, better layup packages, better hops, quickness, handles everything except defense as they both was great & shooting a Pierce wins that category. Lets not forget who last year was better, Pierce was trash after he left the Nets, Wade was still good, like I said Pierce a Legend but not more of a Legend over Wade, if Wade a 98, Pierce like a 97 to me, if we factoring rings & stats of what Wade did vs Dallas then he like a 94.

First of all they don’t even play same position so why they are being compared is goofy enough. Wades more athletic more explosive more versatile on offensive end and way better defensively.
Paul was a 2 in college, and for the first part of his career; he really only went SF full time when Ray got there.
Pierce was considerably more versatile on the offensive end - Paul was an excellent shooter from the arc to the block (and a considerably better 3 pt shooter than Wade); Wade finished like very few other players at the rim in transition, which boosts his FG%, Pierce was exceptionally accurate from everywhere. Pierce had one of the most developed and deep post games in the league, he essentially pioneered the modern step-back jumper, and he could bully 1-4. He could guard 1-4, too, and whether he was a 2 or 3, he was among the strongest players at that position. Wade was absolutely more athletic, had a crazy first step, better in the passing lanes, and he was an elite transition scorer. He couldnt guard 4's, and he couldnt guard 1's.
Both greats, but Wade had more help for more of his career - and I think that's the only reason there's a discussion about their relative abilities.
U guys make me laugh u think jacking 3s is versatility it’s not just in sense of scoring neither. Wade is far better at creating for teammates and had better post game as well as better midrange game on top of being one of best drivers to rim ever.
