I bought this a while ago and this is definitely a great option even now since it's running the latest OS that's available today. the only issue some people would have is it's battery life. it is not a long battery life watch. I get a day battery life with Fitness tracking, GPS, LTE and connected to phone all day. this won't be crazy fast while using but it's not slow either. just a little hiccups

When you don't want, you can either turn off or delete it. Call and samsung pay works great over LTE. It's really useful but battery life hits as per usage. So when it's not necessary, I often turn it off and use Bluetooth to connect with phone
Brother , some people say that this watch will get 4 major updates .. and it has already get 3 major updated like one ui watch 3.5 . 4.5, the recently one ui watch 5 .. and in future samsung will realease one ui watch 5.5 or 5.1 as they name it .. and this will be the last update for this watch ... But some people says this watch has recived 2 major updates like wear os 3.5 and then recently wear os 4 ... And it will receive the updates for more than two years more. . what is the rigth thing. ?? Please clear my this issue or doubt . This watch will get updates till 2025 and whatever update it gets in August 2025 will be the last because Samsung has promised 4 years of updates in it. So you don't have to worry about updates right now.

It is worth buying in 2024, because if we compare it with active 2 it comes with ‘wear os’ and 1.5GB RAM which is big upgrade for this and if you install less apps in it then it will work smoothly without any lag.
Dark colour gets too many scratches but my black variant is good after 8 months of usage. So you can go with any colour you like the build quality is awesome. ♥️

Yes, you can connect via Bluetooth to receive calls on the watch and if you want notifications on the watch you will need to install Merge Connect to iPhone on the watch.
You'll need an Android phone to turn on the watch than you can connect it with an iPhone, and if you need past health data like sleep tracking you'll need to install the app, which isn't on iOS.

Adding E-sim is optional and e-sim is same as physical sim. If your watch and phone is connected then you can also call using your phone sim no need for extra sim and recharge.
