If I were ever to trade in my '17 Breakout, I would be on one of these. So unique looking. Remember an add at a dealership. The Vmax was doing a burnout and underneath it read " The Hemi of motorcycles".
Cool. Sounds like your clutch may be slipping on the launch and when you shift into 2nd and 3rd (hard to tell if it's slipping or you're just holding the lever in too long) but the RPMs just didn't sound right to me. Also, tap the left side of your gauge cluster to get the temp gauge to unstick when your bike is running.
First gear-You launch avay.Second gear-something is happening-Third worn gear--shit now now this beast is on the move an on the mood so just svitch over to fourth and fift gear before you overrew.
It seems to accelerate a lot less intense than my 1986 model… that front wheel should be leaving the ground for a quick moment every time you shift up until fourth gear. Then it is flying low and going well past that pesky speed limit your local constabulary is waiting to spring on you. Oh, and with a couple of tweaks it’ll go into the high nine second range quarter mile… hold on tight
@@rubenprata8272 you are trippen hard af… 0-60 on first gen busa is almost a quarter second faster and top speed is 197+ the Vmax 1200 could only hit 160 if you’re lucky.. good try tho lol
@@bremenw5807 no my friend, vmax 1200 makes 0-60 in 2.9/3.0s and gen 1 hayabusa makes 3.1/3.2s, and vmax is even more quicker after 60 until probably 120. The vmax is quicker, thats a fact that everyone from that times know pretty dam well. There are lots of videos with races between them, go check. Ofc top speed on the haybausa is higher, that's not the purpose of the vmax.
@@rubenprata8272 lmaaooo a vmax 1200 stock is nowhere near that on either bike but sure ok guy… been riding & wrenching on these bikes for over 20 years pretty sure I know what I’m talkin about
@@bremenw5807 my friend there are TONS of videos with stock vmax smashing busas. You probably doesn't know the difference between a vmax fullpower and a non vboost, because the second one can't do that, but a fullpower can and it does, i did it! Everyone back in the 2000's knew that, there were nothing quicker than a vmax. Actually it is on paper too, the vmax is quicker 0-100 on paper, doesn't take much to search a little bit. IF you can't do it, thats your problem, not the bike😂, and it is actually difficult do do it, do not feel bad, but the bike does it!
That clutch is gone time to replace it
Is that definitely the clutch and not the shaft/final drive? I have the same problem on my virago 535
@@CrazyPanda688he wouldn’t know hes just a guy who talks shit on the internet😂
@@CrazyPanda688no that clutch 100% is wasted
@kutthroatbob8983 yeah no, that thing definitely needs a new clutch.
@@kutthroatbob8983 i didn't know telling someone the truth was talking s**t you are to sensitive. The truth hurts
Sounds like the clutch is on the way out. I have a 1985... It should pull a lot harder than that

My favorite Bike since '96
Engine is cold.
Shouldn't you warm it up first?
Thats with a cold engine!

It has a slipper clutch
Looked a little slow to me. But yes. That is a pretty typical traffic light to on-ramp pull for me. Doing this every day was not so good for my spine.
cold block.
I like!

Around 6 seconds

Mines faster off the line dragging a sidecar
WOW! The stock exhaust sounds terrible. Sounds like a dirt bike.
My yamaha ttr 250 could do that
Bro wtf are you saying? Do you know what a vmax is? It was the fastest bike at the timez faster than a 1st gen hayabusa. Thats in mph, not kmh
